I've got the 8x8 Raven covered notebook from A&O for my reading journal, for the first time ever I've decided to go ham with the ravens and have an academia raven, burgundy, grey and black theme. It's pencilled out but I've not put pen to paper as I'm waiting for some supplies to come in. :)
I love that colour scheme! This just looks so gorgeous. I am also trying to get more selfcare and reflection into my own journal and you just gave me some ideas for my own spreads 🥰 I'm also keen on the idea of a reset list, but am not sure how to approach it yet.
This is so beautiful! I have never customized my beginning pages to my journal cover color but with this gorgeous cover, how could you not????? Your cursive headers are so pretty. I’m still working on my faux calligraphy bc I want to be happy with them instead of being sad bc my handwriting is not good.😅😂 I just adore these setups so I’m so happy that we have the reading journal to look forward to!💕

I used to bullet journal and mainly for financial stuff. But recently discovered reading journals are a thing!!! I'm sooo in. I'll be doing mine from December, but mainly be just the full year from the following January. That way the new journal and accessories are like a Christmas gift to myself.

with the second glue tape you used, when you get the the end and need to lift it up, twist it around and it'll come off without any issues! i used an entire one in my uni notes, but i figured out that trick half way through lol

I did match my set up to my journal in 2023, but for 2024 I didn't bother as I wasn't super excited by the journal cover (the journal was a sale purchase rather than an aesthetic choice). I will be setting all my 2025 journals up probably starting this weekend, and it will probably take a couple of weeks doing it in little bits! I still need to do December first though, but I'm behind because of life events, lol.

Life gets too hectic too fast and I can never keep up. HOWEVER now that I am back on the content creating band wagon I am planning to get it done much earlier this year so I can share in a reasonable time frame haha xo
Journal content buzz season starts around when the Hobonichis etc are released so I definitely find content performs better when you can get it live sooner!
23:24 I make Wednesday my APD (anti-procrastination day) for lengthy projects (usually an hour or more) Then I have "Five-minute Fridays" I tackle those annoying little tasks (your desk handles?) That take 5-15 minutes but just seem like such a hassle.

my book journal color is black right now, so I have not been using that to inspire my spreads as I am a colorful girl at heart! I love how your spreads turned out, Erin, they are so beautiful!!
That peachy line is why I have a container filled with sticker paper off cuts. I haven't needed them yet (I've only needed small snippets to fix over-drawn pen lines multiple times), but I'm always ready. 😆 My Nov. set-up had so many smudges (freaking ink pad ink not drying well) that I ended up needing to do full scrap dot grid paper to cover chunks of pages and redo the work. I ended up cutting an entire page out of the back of a previous journal that had a good 20 pages unused. 🥲
And also for this year can you use colors and stickers and setups that's totally out of your normal comfort zone. New year new beginnings and growth and glows❤😊

I had a STM journal in 2024 (the vegan leather hardcover version) and it got SO mucky from where I carried it around. I managed to wipe it with a baby wipe a few times but it’s still super stained which is a shame. For 2025, I’ve gone for a pale pink Tie Fossi journal with a fabric cover and I’m TERRIFIED it’s going to get ruined 🥺 Just wondering if you have any tips to keep your journals clean!
Hey Natalie! I think working from home helps - I don’t take my journals out much, except for sticker hangs! I spilled fountain pen ink on my July-December bullet journal last year though so my journals don’t end up perfect either 🤣 I find using clear tape like it’s a lint roller really helps tidy up a fabric journal cover - I get a lot of cat hair on mine - but you could always grab a notebook cover for it if you want to keep it pristine! There’s a brand called Choose To Do that make pretty ones but I’m sure there would be others!

Hi Erin, Your 2025 Journal looks great. Love the peachy tones, they go so well with the light blues that you've used. Out of curiosity, what exactly do you use to wrap your washi tapes around? Are they old thicker rulers? I'm trying to find a system so that my coloured washi tapes are easier to store and I'd love to copy this idea.
They're actually purpose-made plastic cards just for washi storage! I got mine on ebay but there seem to be a few places you can find them - if you search for something along the lines of "washi tape PVC card" or "board" you should find some options!
16:12 just curious, are the goblets over the flowers easier to see in person? I'm color deficient, and sometimes it's very difficult for me to see images on video.

Not really to be honest - they’re not completely opaque so they do blend in!
