Hi team! 💜 Hope you liked the new setup 😄 as mentioned in the video, today is the official kick-off for EPIC Goals, the course for people who are sick of setting the same goals time and time again without achieving them. Definitely been a labour of love for me and I'm really excited to share it with you 🥳 To see more about the course and everything that's included, jump over to jashii.com/pages/epic-goals 🥰
It's called romantic goth, and this is not that 😂 you could say witchy/whimsical goth, but it doesn't feel goth at all. Maybe dark boho, or just witchy
To avoid transfer from gel pens, I have a scrap piece of paper I call my "blot paper" I will write and then when done place the blot paper over and lightly press and then I don't have transfer to the next page :-)
I also want to add, I totally agree! I have tried the basic bullet journaling and my adhd will not have anything to do with it. I have always been crafty and this combination is definitely for me and my adhd. The colors help me keep my focus and attention to things I need to do but, also because I get to be creative in my journal layout, it allows me to scratch that "itch" of creativity which helps me love my bujo. Thanks to you I found what I needed to stick with my bujo!
this year has felt particularly bad for artistic burn out. as a tattoo artist myself, and almost EVERYONE i know is so burnt out this year specifically so dont even worry about it. i also feel weekly updates feel more special. every week itll be 'omg drawfee Thursday!!' keep going, take a break, you guys are awesome
Small suggestion: You could use a white Colored Pencil on black paper instead of a gel pen if you dont want smearing and still want the contrast! Lots of nice colored pencils sell single colors!
Books, dark flowers, kraft paper newsprint/maps and a typewriter- that’s very dark academia, but its also very witchy (celestial and lanterns) and gothic (black everywhere, those drips on the front), especially when you look at the journal itself. Very pretty!
LOVE the leisure dashboard. In my last bujo, I decided to try a Dopamenu (aka dopamine menu) but I've found myself never actually using it because the functionality felt vague. The idea of the leisure dashboard feels like a similar idea with clearer functionality for me IMO, because if a leisure activity is not front of mind, it's much easier to grab for Instagram and start scrolling instead.
As I watch you I notice, that I did this with my working journal without thinking about it. I use black ink for the normal lettering and bright red to tick off every task I noted in the first place - which looks very professional for me and I feel much more organized and professional myself. I started to add Blue and green to the mix, and noticed I like blue as secondary accent colour, but green isn't for me. At least not THAT green. I want to try to apply this to other journals I use. Normaly I tend to use like the first 10-20 pages of a journal and then stopp using it and I never thought about the why. I always chalked it up to me being unorganized and forgettfull as fuck ... now I wonder if it's because I always found it to be chaotic and hard to watch because I LOVE it organized!
There must be some sad students at the school you used to teach at. If there were more teachers like you in the school system, more kids would make it to university. Your fun, easy to understand and your explanations and instructions are easy to follow. You have cleared up this confused mind hole. LOL A huge fan and will hopefully soon be a member and a course owner. Just waiting on my next check...Can't wait!
This is amazing! I've always opted for the ready calendars, cause I've found the self-made ones a bit... tacky. But this one inspired me to make my own!
I've been journaling and Notebooks keeping since I was a little kid and it still help mre with my everyday life myself and I drew alot as a kid and I'm talking I'do mixed fandom writing.
This is sooo pretty! I love seeing your decorating style evolve over the years! I don't know much about the whole *aesthetics* names either, but I'd probably refer to this as a romantic crafty witch theme 😅 I also ordered that journal a few weeks ago and can't wait for it to come, it's so beautiful!
For your overview calendars, you could use different colored dots for your date dots to differentiate the months. I’ve also been planning my videos this exact same way for my last two journals and I love it. I love your setup so much! 😍
Dear Jess, thank you for your video 💐. I really like the color combination. Honestly, I'm not only hoping for more videos here on this channel, but also for new vlogs with Vogel on the vlog channel. Best wishes from Melly ✨ from Germany
I'm in love with this journal cover! I've also just realised that I have totally missed the live from 9 days ago, about planning your best journal. how did this slip by me!?! so onto that one next.
Sad I just found the video, and I gotta say the bullet journal looks amazing from the outside! (from the inside as well you did a good job!) But the Notebook seems to not be available on the Archer and Olive website anymore :/
Very pretty and such a great job! I love the contrast as well and I don’t think I’ve ever used black in my journals aside from a black kitty sticker for my “Gracie” who’s 3 years old. Thank you so much for the ideas and creative inspiration. I agree, not sure if it’s a trend as I’m not online much aside from a couple of YT journal channels, but I’ve been having lots of fun with washi and using in a scrapbook way. Have an awesome week! Melissa
1:30 hey now!! You Could have made that into a pocket:) Either leave the top or the edge open… if leaving the top open, you could also cut the top page in half if you wanted a pocket that whatever you put in there sticks out (so you see it’s there)
I've turned them into pockets previously, but didn't feel like I needed one this time around 😊 Wanted to have my year at a glance next to the future log instead 👌
This theme is so lovely and I really enjoyed watching your process! I would call it boho academia 😍 those moon stickers are so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Fair 👌 I find the icons easier to remember without a key and gotten pretty good at drawing them with a super fine pen. Sometimes they turn out a little interesting though 😂
Love it Jess! It’s such a functional journal but oh so aesthetically pleasing ❤ The colour combinations in particular are speaking to me and I may use it as my overarching theme for 2025 with a different pop of colour for each month! I tend to use one journal a year as I don’t include trackers; and like there to be some sort of element that ties the entire journal together despite having monthly themes. For example, my 2024 journal is the Tsuki ‘Summer Witch’ by notebook therapy, and the overarching theme was to include one element each month that was the same colour as the cover of the journal. Which hasn’t been easy as it’s an unusual shade of purple!
I'm about to be starting a new bullet journal. My last one lasted me for almost 7 years. To be fair a couple years I didn't use it very much but mostly I'm the queen of tiny handwriting and only use two to three page spreads per month. My new journal is so pretty but I'm a bit trepidatious to actually start writing in it (it is supposed to start as of July 1st). Previously the only longer term "collections" I have done are my yearly goals page but I'm trying to decide if I want to add more as it seems like it would be convenient at the beginning on my journal. I'm just not sure if I will actually use them and I find that if I feel like I have wasted space in my journal I am less likely to use it. Also not sure if it makes more sense to copy over my goals for this year to my new journal. On a side note Jess thank you for your channel! I found it last December because of the reading journal flip throughs you did, but I stuck around because its the first planner channel that has actively made me excited about putting plans to paper rather than it feeling like it is a chore. I've seen a heightened productivity in the last six months because of this which helped me manage to finish my dissertation on time while also juggling my academic job search. It all went better than imagined and I just wanted you to know that you helped plant one of the seeds that made it possible and less stressful so THANK YOU!
7 years in one journal is impressive! Totally makes sense given the space you're using per month though, your writing certainly must be small! 💜 Awesome to hear that the channel and content has helped get you excited about planning 😄 and congrats on finishing your dissertation, that's great! 🥳
Ok, I love this set up! And I could see this being considered Dark Academia, because that theme invokes an old ornate personal library with a big well loved leather wingback chair, classic literature, and a fireplace.
I’m off work this week save for one thing I need to do so I was looking at setting up a nujo for July-onwards so this is perfect timing for inspiration🎉
What sticker printer do you use? I've been hunting for a color one! Also, what was it that you pulled that black paper out of? The little book it came from.

Hey Jennifer! 😄 This was the video I had about setting up my 5 year journal: th-cam.com/video/PVUQISP6pX8/w-d-xo.html and this was the one talking about how I was finding it a year later: th-cam.com/video/H7JhWGc3h9o/w-d-xo.html I set mine up so it was super easy to do all at once (the initial setup that was) and given the amount of space I had in the notebook I picked, I opted to not have any monthly summary layouts, rather yearly summaries at the start of the notebook; one page per year, split into monthly sections 👌 My notebook has 192 pages though, so if you had a notebook with more space, could totally work it to have monthly summary pages in there too 💜
Where do i Find the book you had With the dotted papers with different colors, black and nature that you ripped out the black paper in the beginning? I cant Find it and i want that..🙂
They are ones that A&O offers, just don't think that particular color mix is available (or it maybe came in a quarterly box-think they are called memo pads)
Sadly it's not in stock at the moment, but hopefully they bring it back soon 🤞💜 I've linked the Archer & Olive notepads in the description box for you though 😄 thanks for the heads up that it wasn't there!
lol, I was working a retail job where we had to label the expiry dates on food, and I got in the habit of writing 2025 on everything. Not helpful for my Bujo 😮💨

On your work calendars I think you reversed Aug + Sept. Otherwise you have Sep ending on Sun + Oct starting on Tues
The final day of September is on the top left of the calendar 😊 just to make the calendar only span 5 lines 👌
This looks so cool but I absolutely don't need one 😂😭
What kind of sticker paper do you use?
Avery matte white sticker labels 😄
@@JashiiCorrin thanks
Do I hear Hollywood Graveyard music in the background at 9:23?
All the tracks I've used are by Chris Haugen if that helps! 💜
What journal is that?
Archer & Olive Wonderlust notebook 😊💜
Wow
I love your leisure list! Have you heard of a podcast called DYFM by Alexis Fernandez?
Glad you liked it! Haven’t heard of the podcast though, what’s it about? 🤔
Can I just ask is this a B5 bullet journal size?
This is an A5 😄💜
Muy bonito .
Thanks! 😄💜

lol, I was working a retail job where we had to label the expiry dates on food, and I got in the habit of writing 2025 on everything. Not helpful for my Bujo 😮💨
Oooof that’s annoying 😂💜
Hii, i was wondering if the discord is yours, and if so, how do i join it :3
Yup, that’s mine! That one is available at discord.gg/qbQnBdk 😄💜
I browsed your vids and fell in LOVE with the archer & olive notebook designs but my god! The shipping cost…$87.21? Im ded 😭

I think I had that line in our production of Twelfth Night.....welp
Yup that’d be the one! 💪
