WOW, filming and editing of this is unbelievable 👀👀👀🔥🔥🔥⚡️🌮⚡️ and I’ll be damned Ron is hella fast. I’d heard from a secret source he could haul the mail and I see it with my own eyes here 💪🏽💪🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 A pleasure and an honor to be involved in this project with you guys and also the master Mr. Jay Clark as well.
Gorgeous bike. I'm waiting on my 2022 500 EXC-F. Been picking up Taco Moto products to make it special and mine. Mike has been amazing at advice. Although I wasn't thinking about a tuner for my bike...Now I am. ATHENA GET RX1 Pro (no wifi). Even if it gives me more than I can handle it will help with resale down the road, if I ever decide to sell it. I plan on dumping all the garbage my bike doesn't need. Smog, O2 Sensor, Reed Valves, stock Exhaust Cap, going with (Pro Moto Billet / Fastway Spark Arrestor End Cap). I will definitely be consulting with Mike on any other enhancements he suggests. I already have a Rekluse CX and a Scotts Stabilizer ready to go on. I'm so excited to get this bike. Oh...I just had a double lung transplant and am 65 yrs old. I simply cannot grow up or get dirt bikes out of my head. I ordered my bike sitting in my hospital bed 2 weeks out of surgery. Am I nuts?? I'm hioping to do some warm up rides this fall in WV and then heading out to Moab in the spring. Then..............Idaho?
@@nathanielw.h.9039 The winter weather settled in before I not only got the bike ready, but me as well. I've had a few small setbacks from the lung transplant, but should be ready to go in the spring. We are planning on a month in Utah and Idaho. I have decided to get the bike lowered an inch. I need to be in control when I stop on a trail. I doubt the loss of 1" is going to affect my riding. I'm not racing MX anymore. I did take the bike on the road shortly after getting it. It has a whopping .2 hours on it. But, it looks amazing. I was going to do a walk around video when it is finally finished. Thanks for inquiring!! 🤘
Love it ! I just picked up a new 2023 500 exc f $13,500. I got all kinds of goodies coming , about. $ 3,000 in goodies 90% I will get through tocomoto cuz I love the decathlon they put in!! And the first time I called with a question, I left a voice mail and love the fact I was texted an ancer to my ? Also, I love the videos on TH-cam good hands on information ! I can't ride like I used to at 60 years old but always loved getting a new bike and making it better, and with guys like Mike taking time time to do what they do it's made easy, I come from the days of jetting and doing are own home work witch took alot of time witch I don't have anymore guys and company's like tocomoto save me at least two years of tuning and still would never get close to what thease amazing guys can do !!! I have tried to stay in very good shape my whole life, but now I have a crippling pain in my joints and muscles I have some good days were I can almost do what I want with some pain but tolerate it, some days were I can't do much but my good days you will find me riding or working on my 500 or my harley or winter time trail riding my snowmobile in the up of Michigan well enough of that just sending out a big big thanks to you guys for your time and rechurch to give me a fun factor right off your shelf in a box to my door step thanks durt bike magazine tocomoto & Mike love you guys and God bless!!😅
What a great piece of work. Ron I started reading Dirtbike the year it first published. So it's a thrill to see you riding, testing and improving the bikes I love. My sons and I ride on Vancouver Island where we have logging roads throughout the area. I have the KTM 500 ECX-F and love it. But like you I want to make it better. I'll call TacoMoto and see if I can't get a kit of parts for my Winter project. Thanks for all the great stories over the years. You and the staff at Dirt bike are really amazing.
Just one of my all time favorite Katoom's. Love the 250/300 xc,xc-w 2-strokes but when you have to connect to a off-road trail system this is the best KTM.
This looks very similar to what I would like to achieve. My bike would end up spending a significant amount of time on tarmac as well as higher speed fire road work. Did you consider adding a Cush drive hub to take strain off the driveline? Does the 500 have enough power to pull gearing that would allow for 60 mile an hour easy cruising? Thanks!
So i have a 2019 ktm excf 250. been riding for 3 years. strictly forest. Super happy with my 250 have upgraded a few things and wouldnt change it for anything. but the 500 seems to be where its at? or am i just wishfully thinking ? do i really need a 500 for forest single track riding? thanks for any help on the matter.
