    Hey all - We realize the screen sharing software bugged out a little and didn't cut over. Rookie mistake to not catch it. I'll link the various docs below in order if you're curious to see them. All the content and discussion is accurate speculation though based on what is in the documentation. Plus you get to see a rough 3D model at the end!

    I thought it would just be some sort of small plug-in device like a camera, microphone or even a motion sensor.
    But if this thing has a screen and is larger than I originally thought it would be, it could be a plug in second screen for DS, 3DS or even Wii U games on future NSO!
    #*Checks notes*# oh wait nvm.

    It's the Wii Vitality Sensor, but bundled with Eternal Darkness 2. Nintendo is about to up the horror game side like it's never been done before!

    Given the size and shape I believe this device has a gyroscope inside or some other physical feedback mechanism.

    it could be a dock with wireless low latency video streaming capabilities (using the 24ghz) from the switch (kinda like the wii u) and it would be close to your body and or hands when you dock the switch physically

    This is so weird. Why would they make it cube-shaped? It looks so inconvenient for a personal movement tracker.

    Looks mainly something about fitness (a true evolution after wii fit and ring fit adventure) but also maybe offers other services.

    I think that it's in interactive projection device the can project a 720p or above screen onto a flat surface. This can replace the successor screen for on the go larger displays, and also be used in tandem with the screen as such; Space Invaders move around the player space via the projection unit, the Successor is used to track the projections and shoot them down/capture them in real time.
    This can also be used with an additional worn device later for release that can display limited three dimensional sprites through the projector for players wearing the second device.

    I’m sure you meant it as a joke when you saw the size of the thing (I was hoping for a pokewalker 2 until the cube was brought out), but I wonder if it could actually be an alarm clock with sleep tracking capabilities. The screen could show the time, and maybe Nintendo characters, like the clock apps on the DSi.

    Shot in the dark here, but is there any way the 24ghz signal is able to be used for data transfer? It’s just something that’s been rumbling around in my mind since all this came out, probably doesn’t mean anything but still curious regardless.

    • @kalvino3515

      If I recall, Bluetooth is 24ghz, so yes. Data transfer is totally a thing.

    • @RemotePlayPodcast
      @RemotePlayPodcast  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Bluetooth is in the 2.4GHz range (same as Wi-Fi but uses a frequency hopping method to avoid collisions). However, yes, you can use mmWave tech to transfer data at a high rate. The question is what and why would this device be in the hands or near the body? --Mark
