Enjoy your family while you can. My son moved to Michigan march 1st and it's been very different. Thank you for the shout out and thank you for being a great friend. I have met so many people through TH-cam and made a lot of great friends. Thank you for all that you do .

I love to see the giving going on!! I grew up in a home that was not a good one. Ive raised 4 kids, ( 2 of ours and her two from before me) and taught them to love on others. my first born ( a pastor!) and his wife adopted a son out of the foster system and are currently fostering 4 brothers form horrific conditions, and they keep giving. i love to see it, and dont get jealous ,instead i share your joy

You got some great things from some great people! Yeah, it’s probably the memory card. I understand having to take care of everything yourself. Been a loner for 26 years. Hard to find enough time for modeling sometimes. Peace and love.

Again, you have some great friends in this hobby. That 1951 Chevy Fleetline as a Pro-Street car should be great, and it'd make a nice change from all the modified '49 Fords and Mercuries out there. I say do it!

I would love to see your take on the '64 Olds convertible! I am going to start working on mine once my '56 Thunderbird build is complete. I will build my Olds convertible box stock, factory options, metallic black with a black interior with the redline tires from the hardtop version.

Hey, don't beat yourself up about it. Those things happen. What's worse, though; missing ten minutes of lost footage or belly aching for twenty minutes about it? Just kidding. It just shows how much you care and we all appreciate it. If only others would have such passion for what they do.

David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Thursday, 18 July, 2024)
Matthew, I come to your channel to watch your videos on the automobile cars where our interests overlap-automobiles of Ford (and other U.S. automakers) from the Roaring ’20s (the Model T, and the Model A) to immediately prior to the Second World War. I have an interest in kits of 1942 Ford sedans (amongst others of the period). In the preceding year had the automaker initiated a complete redesign of its entire automobile product line, supplanting the Model B, the Model 18, and the Model 40, though the War Department conscripted the 142,600 or so in their anticipation of eventual hostilities (which they expected from Nazi Germany). These also included 1942 Plymouths and Chevrolets (and surely other makes and models, as well). I would paint it olive drab, with a plain, white, five-point star round 20 cm (8 in) across on the two front doors and the hood, and the chrome trim repainted in flat black. Any of these I would position alongside 1:24th-scale replicas of combat aircraft, to produce an interesting display. Several years past, the Japanese kit manufacturer Hasegawa had made an exquisitely well-designed, highly-detailed 1:24th-scale kit of the Willys Overland M-38 U.S. Army ¼-ton 4×4 Light Utility Truck. The selection of good-quality, well-detailed U.S.-made combat aircraft kits in that ratio is quite sparse. (Most are outdated, crude, misshapen hot messes from the 1970s.) Even those of the past decade or so have shown to be uneven, some excellent overall, whilst others are good, though lacking the detail one reasonably could expect of a reproduction in such a large scale. One, the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat U.S. Navy carrier-based fighter from Airfix (UK)-a total surprise in itself!-from all that I have seen of it here on TH-cam, is a stunning tour de force of crisp molding, accuracy and precision in details, and well-engineered complexity!
Airfix also makes excellently-designed, and-detailed 1:24th-scale kits of the Supermarine Spitfire RAF Mk.IX Fighter and the de Havilland DH-98 Mosquito Fighter-Bomber and Night Fighter (I do not recall the exact RAF marks), that I would like to convert to a Mk.VI RAF Light Bomber; and a second one to make a Mk.II Photo-Reconnaissance aircraft. (I hope they follow Tamiya’s lead on this: over the past several years have the Japanese firm issued 1:32nd-, 1:48th-, and 1:72nd-scale models of the Mosquito bomber and PR variants). For that matter, numerous model-builders highly knowledgeable of their craft proclaim the Tamiya 1:32nd-scale Spitfire Mk.IX Fighter or the Mosquito Fighter-Bomber/Night Fighter kits as the best of all time! What little I have seen of them here substantiates that.
Hearing you tell your viewers of your appreciation for your friends in the modelling arena gladdens me a lot. A big reason I like your channel, beyond the models and model-building, is your down-to-earth manner and your pleasant presentation, which I characterise as a happy balance of knowledgeability and good-hearted affability.
Hearing you tell us about missing your family as they travel to the north fills my heart with joy. I will not go into details, but my life is and has been grim and empty, due to physical disabilities, some since complications during a breech birth. As a consequence, I have slipped to just 181 cm at 52 kg (5’11”, 52 kg); the specifics of that are a long story for another time. My point is that since I lack the means to acquire the kits I would like, telling all of you about what I wish I could be building is my fun and entertainment here, and you channellers are my friends from afar; when you express your appreciation for yours, I have a good understanding of what you mean; for I feel the same about you lot.
I visit every few weeks or so several TH-cam modelling channels to watch those of far greater expertise than I-modelling techniques, news on new kits, the actual vehicles the replicas in plastic and paint represent, etc.-build something intriguing and exciting: a new 1942 olive drab Ford sedan sitting beside a Grumman Hellcat fighter, an admiral passing to the aviator a very thick, worn, leather case bound in bright, stainless steel chains, with orders immediately to return to USS Enterprise (CV(N)-6) USN Yorktown-class aircraft carrier-patrolling just offshore scarcely nautical mile away, its freshly painted Measure 33/4Ab Dazzle camouflage striking under the bright mid-morning sun-to present to Captain Cato Glover the package for Admiral Halsey . . . .
    Thanks, Matthew! :)
