I used to complain that modern games take way too much space, but i guess it's a plus when you got a slow network connection and it takes a full night to reinstall a single game.
I have tons of work to do but I always play video games and when I go to bed I start stressing out about the work. I tried stopping and I remember taking like a 3 month break and it made me a better person but now I’m back into playing all day and I honestly hate it.
I have a similar problem, because of the virus school is online, so I can wake up when I want, I will sleep in, wake up and do barely any work, I just go straight to my computer and play Minecraft servers, I’ll play to 7 or 8 from 9 or 10 and won’t go outside, it’s not like there’s nothing to do, I just choose video games, a change will be hard for me because I am in a clan and a lot of those people are my friends, I am very high ranked and it is an extremely good clan and obviously if I stop playing I will lose that position, wish me luck, I’m going to try and keep the job but also only play 2-3 hours a day
Thanks for this. I do all my work on my laptop and have a separate Super PC for gaming. I only switch it on when I want to play, but otherwise I'm looking at my laptop in the opposite direction.
I used to do the same, but recently I deleted all my games from my pc and I'll work on my desktop instead as it's much more powerful than my laptop and makes me feel better.
A great excerpt from a great episode! I'm actually considering the 30-day detox as well. I mostly play long JRPG's and I also insist on playing to completion, which never seems to end. I'll probably let myself have 30-ish minutes a day of puyo puyo tetris though... but elsewise, total detox.
I work on computer but those game....... I woke up and realize i have no food house dirty I only take care of my dogs and play games it's just sucks i can't stop
Nice tips, I would love to know your personal experience Thomas . Do you have a specific schedule to play videogames? Because it seems that you can do a lot of things and I would love to know how you deal with this situation and how do you find time to play games. By the way, what is your favourite console of all time and games? Stay cool!
I see my problem it is that I am doing online school and I get to wakeup pretty late past 7 or 8 and the fact that I Burley something's do all my work, I will just go on my PS4 or Laptop and start playing ROBLOX for until 10hrs or more and spend the whole time in my room just playing and I'm only 12 years old. I am so worried about my health and my school results cause last mount I did very well but now due to playing games my marks might drop. WISH ME LUCK.
Thing is that games motivates me to work hard (even produce exceptional results in small scale (university, city)), but at the same time they also takes a lot of my time and focus from much larger scale projects :D So now im listening to WoW music during work (studying, projects etc.) and often I slip just from listening to actual playing the game. But after few hours of playing I realise that it is not fun anymore, but still some part of me, wants me to play and invest lot of time to become as good as possible. But i cant allow it to happen, so im watching videos instead of working which leads me to further depression, potential overeating, and further from my actual goals :/ But in the end MMORPG and fantasy is my main driver for my progress, so basically i'm stuck in this circle, lol. And I have no idea how to break it. But at the same time Im thinking whether its good idea to do so.
Vladimír it sounds like video games are an inspiration for you. However, you're letting that inspiration take over and actually prevent you from making progress on your goals. It sounds like you may need to find a new source of inspiration if your current one is hindering you in that way. Instead of listening to WOW music, try listening to other music instead like classical or something else besides a video game soundtrack. You may find that other music can inspire you too. I personally have had to learn how to be inspired by something but not let it take over my life. For instance, I love video games as well and I love doing fanart from games, but at the same time I am able to appreciate those games from afar, without playing them and getting sucked in for hours or days on end. You can still appreciate and love something, without letting it consume you...if you know what I mean? I hope that helps a little bit :)
I did exacly that with netflix and other streaming apps. I'm only allowing myself to see tv shows while with friends. I realized that shit really numbed me. I'm extremely more energized and anxious without it. Trying to learn to cope in healthier ways
This times it is easy to be back were you left of examples cloud, Facebook, Google play and more But I have learn something here this thing of video games is cool plus awesome but time is moving i am literally growing and If i don't mind all that I will be homeless in the future I rather play games when am done having a job, a beautiful house and woman.... I will be fine and feeling great because the is nothing that will make me worried, left behind and thinking of not having money..
Certain games are more addicting than others. Whenever I have the urge to play Hearthstone, I play Breath of the Wild instead, because it’s not that addicting, but hella enjoyable.
A Nice Way Detox For Gaming Really Help Me Encourage To Unistall Video Games For PC But There is One Question How To Not To Crave About upcoming Video Game Like The Walking Dead The Final Season Is Something That Makes Sunk Deep Hour In Previous Games Just To Fill My Mind With The Walking Dead Experience
Avoid the gaming media, subreddits, ect. If you have a few main games you care about just prioritize those over all the new games-- If it's just a detox, you'll have to remind yourself that you can play those big games -later- it's just going to take some time.
Peopls call me a twig and I don’t like it and I’m trying to get off video games and I’m 12 years old I have other goals but my main goal is to exercise
“You can reinstall those games”
“Impossible”
Lololol
PC Games :(
I've deleted CSGO from my desktop during Spring semester and it has been great! I get a lot more work done and I feel less temptation to play.
I've deleted csgo back in 2019 and now I got hooked with indie games, because I'm an indie gamedev now lol

Just do your hobbies man, if you look at yourself, there are actually so many things that you can do that you have no time to play video games.
