      exactly my Taxes are for the country, so I believe that if they want their own way then their followers must direct their taxes to their party so watch this space it will be they have all the funds, and we have none and then cry poverty.     This is why we have a "Speaker" in Parliament. A responsible person who is supposed to know the rules of Parliament forwards and backwards needs to step in to bring these people into line. Te Pati Maori have broken the rules and the Speaker should address this issue before they are allowed to come back into Parliament and in the interim their salaries and Parliamentary benefits should cease.

    If this doesn't matter to NZ citizens or Parliament then we may as well give in entirely, but the majority of kiwis voted for our mp's within the Westminster system, and that's where they should be legally by the sound of it.     They should vacate Parliament as they are in breach by been divisive calling for their supporters to follow them. They get no funding from the taxpayer because of their Treason. The Taxpayers of the country have done the best they can to fix all past grievances and are now second class citizens with all the perks that Maori have now.       In previous resignations they've had to give a writing letter to the speaker so yes I think Gerry might be the man regarding if they stay in parliament or not. But govt might have other related legal ramifications too from seditious actions. Be funny if Gerry came out publicly and just said he accepts the resignation of the whole party.     I was fortunate enough to spend Friday night at a table with 4 Maori gentleman at the local RSA. I never said a word for ages, i just listened. All they had to say was that the Maori Party were completely nuts, and that they didn't represent them in any way whatsoever.

      I live on the Gold Coast like a lot of us. I arrived in Australia 2006. I left for a better life more opportunity. I suspect that perhaps this is the reason people are leaving NZ.

      @@IanG2120 Just checked and Tea Party Maori got 3.08% of the vote whereas NZ First got 6.08%, ACT 8.64% and TOP 2.2%. Tea Party got 6 MPs NZ First 8, ACT 9 and TOP zero MPs . So nowhere near proportional representation! Poor old TOP! What an unfair system! Certainly does not suit me!

Parliament has never been up to Maori needs. With Maori having to pay more, or it being hard for them to find jobs because the white man has always been a leader. It wasn't hard for the Queen to admit she was sorry for the wrongs of Britain so why is it hard for you? Parliament never listens to pupils needs unless it is something to give them more privilege or money.
