We're a small country but with a big standing in the world, the last government should have done more for its people during the pandemic with that money and not to channel the money into pet, idealistic projects of the then prime minister to satisfy her own ego or to build up her own power base once the pandemic was over. There's a time to do that when the country is doing well economically but definitely not during a pandemic. That's the point I'm making. Maybe you missed that. That's the debt that all of us and the future generations have to pay.

I gave up listening to NZ MSM some time ago because of the obvious bias. MSM has a major problem, they have limited their audience to Labour/Green acolytes. I now occasionally listen for the pure entertainment of it. Listening to Matty McLean's Breakfast TV meltdown was so funny it would be worthy of a Faulty Towers episode. "It's a lie, it's a lie" he cries lol! Well put the contract on the table and get some intelligent people to explain exactly how the clauses attached to that money do or don't compromise journalistic integrity! Most of us know intuitively and experientially that it has!

I think NZ news coverage is pretty pathetic, especially in the mornings, three or four minutes of news, 10 minutes of sport (not interested) coupled with twenty minutes of mindless dribble and on One, a crash course in Te Reo. The guy that reads sport in the evenings takes at least two minutes just to say hello. Al Jazeera is the only way to get proper world news.
