How does it work Say I was ironing Jeans and then after that I use a nylon cloth how it will adjust temperature so fast or I am missing something technologically which is possible ?
Hi, thanks for your interest. When switching between the modes, it might take a while for the temperatures to switch. Please allow a few minutes, to make sure the iron is set to right temperature! Should you need any assistance, feel free to reach out to s through Facebook or Twitter, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I am curious is the temperature on this iron strong enough to disinfect clothes nicely? I can't seem to find that information about the optimal temperature technology on my philips iron.
Hi Nina, thanks for your comment. Yes! The steam from this iron will kill any bacteria present on your clothing items. The OptimalTEMP technology allows you to iron everything from silk to jeans without adjusting the temperature. No dial or settings are needed. So there’s no more pre-sorting the laundry, or waiting for the iron to heat up and cool down. In addition, the iron will never cause burns to any ironable fabric - even if you leave it resting face down on your clothes or ironing board! We hope this information is helpful. 😊
You're very welcome, Nina! We're very happy to hear that you're enjoying features of your iron. ❤️IF you have any additional questions feel free to reach out anytime.
I have ordered this Phillips iron GC 3920... I m afraid of water dripping all the time which often happens with steam irons ... And second is auto temperature function ...does it take more time to iron tough clothes as compared to conventional temperature adjustment irons ..
Hi, Qural. Thanks for sharing your questions. The GC3920 has a drip stop feature which keeps the garments spotless while ironing, so there is no need to worry about water dripping with this steam iron. 🙂 The temperature of the iron will always take 2 minutes to warm up, the iron automatically detects through a sensor, which fabric you are ironing and warms up or cools down accordingly, while your ironing. There is no need to sort your fabrics, and no need to worry about burns. If you have any queries with your new iron, we recommend reaching out to our team on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). They will be happy to help you out in any way they can. We hope to have answered your question sufficiently. 😊

Hi, thanks for leaving a comment. Yes, the iron works on steam and therefore needs to be filled with water as per instructed in the video above. Please note that this appliance has been designed to be used with tap water. However, if you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prolong the lifetime of the appliance.

Hi Arini, thanks for your comment. Good question! OptimalTemp technology allows the iron to automatically adjust to the ideal ironing temperature based on the fabric of the garment you are ironing.
