Keep in mind, this show is turning 40 in September and it still left a massive impact on everyone!!! Plus, this is one of my mom's favorite shows during her childhood.
Thank you for making this video. I just subscribed to you. I grew up watching Muppet Babies and I still love it. I've watched some of the reboot with my toddler godson and he loves it. It's definitely aimed at a different audience. The 2018 version is targeted towards preschoolers, whereas the original was aimed at slightly older kids, with lots of references for grown-ups, particularly with the use of live-action footage. You've made me want to watch the final episode of the reboot with all the Muppet Show references now! Also I love your use of instrumental versions of the Muppets Take Manhattan music. Really nice touch.
In regards to Summer possibly being a Muppet Babies only character, it seems like that's a legitimate possibility unless legal matters are sorted through. Back in 2021, someone asked Muppet veteran Kirk Thatcher on Twitter if Summer could be used in regular Muppet projects, and he says it's a possibility, but he also says how a different division handles Muppet Babies, and issues would need to be cleared up. I mentioned how the series, much like all Disney Junior originals, is produced by the Disney Junior Educational Resource Group (now called Disney Junior Education And Inclusion). While he didn't directly say anything, the fact he liked my tweet confirms this. Disney Junior is VERY protective of their shows, both original and based on established properties. They won't allow anything from their shows to be used substantially in non-Disney Junior produced Disney media unless you pay a lot. That's why the only non-preschool Disney projects to reference Disney Junior shows are the live action Chip And Dale movie (which had a cameo from Doc McStuffins) and The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder (which had a reference to Elena Of Avalor). Of course, this isn't anything new for Disney. One of the creators of DuckTales 2017 (Francisco Angones), said how he wanted to use Mickey Mouse in an episode, but he would've had to pay Disney a lot of money to use him. It's also why Chip And Dale: Rescue Rangers couldn't be directly referenced in the show, at least not at first. Disney was using these specific incarnations of the characters for another project (the aforementioned live action movie). x.com/KirkThatcher/status/1449095048209993731 x.com/blytheandferb21/status/1449100790593998858 www.tumblr.com/suspendersofdisbelief/155311728751/why-cant-you-have-mickey-in-duck-tales x.com/FrankAngones/status/1249006377436983296
Gonzo having a crush on was a thing the muppets show for two episodes and in the first movie. It is interesting how big it was in this show. Also not only did the reboot drop Gonzo’s crush. Miss Piggy doesn’t seem to have crush on Kermit either which works here.
I can't believe you're toiling away to make videos of this quality that are this long for less than 1.5k subs. Brutal. Subbed! Love all of your videos that I've binged today! Your editing and personality are so much fun. The only thing it would be great to see added would be set captions and better audio for fans in the future. ❤
Liked watching this show on CBS on Saturday Mornings, and in reruns on my local FOX station in Washington, D.C. in the 80s and 90's, Fox Kids Network, Nickelodeon, and Odyssey Network for almost all in the 90's.
I liked the Muppet Babies when they came on Saturday Mornings on the local CBS affiliate, along with Garfield and Friends, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I also watched in syndication as a 65-episode syndicated package on my local Fox affiliate WTTG-TV 5 in Washington, D.C. in the towns of Adelphi/Hyattsvile, Maryland from 1989 to 1991, and in South Carolina on another Fox affiliate WTAT-TV 24 during a period in summer 1991, then moved to Fox as part of Fox Kids Network weekday morning syndicated lineup in the fall of that same year, while the series was still remaining on CBS' Saturday Morning schedule at the same time simultaneously. On cable, it has aired on Nickelodeon and Odyssey Network.
Little Muppet Monsters is actually the show I hate in general. As for Muppet Babies itself, I liked the original series better than the 2018 reboot in my opinion.
actually in the old muppet show in the early seasons. Gonzo did actually act very flirty towards miss piggy, well more like he was her secret admirer in one episode and where he often seems to fawn over her, to that point of her calling him alot of words and well smacking him over the head. it was later on in the show they established gonzo's likeing for chickens since it might be in bad taste to have gonzo be desireing miss piggy
I think you're right to be concerned about Darth Vader looking after the babies. I mean, we KNOW Anakin is not above child murder. He's specifically engaged in it TWICE. TWO SEPARATE TIMES. He killed every sand person child in a sand people village AND he murdered every training Jedi youngling. The Muppet Babies are lucky to have become Muppet Adults at all.
While airing on CBS, Muppet Babies enterted syndicated reruns on local affiliates through Claster Television for a 2 year run, from 1989 to 1991. After the series ended its run on CBS, reruns aired on FOX as part of Fox Kids Network weekday morning syndicated lineup from 1991 until 1992 at was at the period distributed by Warner Bros. TV Distribution, after lost negotiations to continue syndicating on Claster Television, which was implied to have reran on the network throughout the 1990-91 season, and the first 96 episodes aired on Nickelodeon from 1992 until the end of 1998, and as a syndication package. These same episodes were also rerun on the Odyssey Network in 1999 to 2000. Although 11 episodes from the last season were not shown in syndication, a number of them were released on video. The show was seen in the United Kingdom on Playhouse Disney from 2005-2007. The shows and the franchise are now owned and controlled by Disney. Some episodes received cuts and other edits during reruns. For example, The Muppet Movie footage of Kermit the Frog emerging from a saloon in the Ghost Town as originally used to preface a bubblegum showdown between Baby Kermit and Baby Gonzo in "Close Encounters of the Frog Kind" was removed in some reruns. An example of scenes being swapped out includes the "Go bye-bye!" epilogue of "Faster than a Speeding Weirdo"; the original version involves Baby Gonzo and Baby Animal engaged in a game of oversized Tiddlywinks, while the rerun features Baby Gonzo parodying Doc Brown from "Back to the Nursery".

Welcome to the 40th birthday

They’re so cute! 🥰

Thank you very much! I highly appreciate such nice praise. Will keep the critiques in mid too! ^^
Actually 4 DVDs were released in the 2000s packaged with plushies.

Jill is actually from The Muppets Take Manhattan. She's one of the frogs Kermit meets after an accident causes him to lose his memory
BRYUUUU this series was super cute and I used to watch some episodes 😭 The 2018 reboot captured the og charm but more modernised if ykwim.
A real missed opportunity to not have the muppets babies in tbr end game fight scene
Gonna have to correct ya. Jill wasn't new. She was in Muppets Take Manhattan.
I noticed there’s no baby versions of the muppets Jerry Nelson played in this show
Unless if you count Robin the Frog for a few episodes. But yeah I noticed that too now you mentioned it
@@PinedaPhoenixoh yeah that’s right

IMO, besides Muppet Babies, the only good "kiddified" cartoon was Tom & Jerry Kids.
Not sure I agree, Tom and Jerry Kids was pretty awful.
does anyone remember the little muppets books? they were pretty mean spirited but had lessons in them
I wish I could stream Muppet Babies.
muppet babies animatronics
Five Nights at Miss Nanny’s Daycare 😭
1:17:05 I disagree it fits for the Muppets to rap because rap is a genre of music and they should do every genre of music.
