Wouldn't say it's op, it's just uncommon matchup a lot of times. With how little his playrate is compared to other mid and how mid currently filled with mages again, it's not a weird thing that Singed will be a good hard counter for this season
I think its more the literal definition; getting flung under turret 100-0 with little/no counterplay other than "dont get point clicked" is not good design regardless of whether or not its attached to a singed matchup

Actually that is the biggest problem of singed. He has very weak laning phase and almost everything counters him. Control mages like snydra, orianna, taliyah, anivia especially wreck him

@@blacklight1104 The entire point of singed mid is for his roams, if you are being bullied or are unable to punish your laner you just leave and create pressure. It's a cheese pick that doesn't perform well if you can't get a solid lead in the early game, but if you do get that lead you are looking at a free win most the time since you can make a lane unplayable due to your roam pressure.
I've faced a Singed mid just a while ago, and he went for a level 2 bot gank with predator. He got himself and his adc killed and gave my adc a double kill
Happy to see more bruisers and juggs going mid. I much prefer Illaoi mid over top with how much pressure she can provide and how hard she can choke out the laner.
Honestly it feels like they just need to change something about top lane, 90% of match ups aren't fun and usually just end up in freezing the lane. Counter picks or an early kill cucks you for all of laning phase.

Trying to establish tentacles only to walk up after you push the wave to then need to establish more tentacles while juggling the ones on the back along with being a wider lane means you get less 2-3 tentacle slams and more room for the opponent to kite you. Mid being so small allows you to really enforce your strength and stand your ground because of how close all the tentacles are from each other. A vesset's target cant walk up because they have 4-6 tentacles auto slamming. Throw in a minion wave and it just becomes too much for most champs. Then factor in that Illaoi is one of the fastest early game pushers due to her tentacles and W that she can keep most mid laners under tower to get the jungler's attention or to punish ganks.

If the enemy laner ever manages to set up a good freeze, then you're forced to either be starved of gold and xp or you can't stay under turret and play safe. And the amount of time to get to lane means you have to stay or risk losing half or all of your turrets health. I think they either need to push early game mana conservation a lot harder for top laners, or shorten the lane somehow.

The issue that would occur would be how easy it would be to zone off someone from getting back to their lane but it should be balanced out with the removal of valid ganking spots.
Anivia and Heimer are a pain in the ass to play against as Singed. Vs Liss and viktor, after laning phase is over, they are manageable: you can throw W on liss and she can't escape, even easier for viktor
only way to nerf singed is to nerf predator, he becomes useless otherwise. Of course, predator will affect other champions so probably not going to happen

because he's a champ that you encounter 1 in 1k games and is only played by people that already know roamer mids or singed mains. Pulling it casually means inting

another tip: if you don't need the predator damage, you can just not auto the enemy and you'll keep the full predator cast movement speed
That applies to Deadman's plate, Predator, meanwhile, will stop as soon as a tick of damage is done to a champ from you

It's not really Singed being OP. It's more of Predator being OP and the mid mains being bad at the game. Predator was too strong and it needed a nerf.
