i find that alot of people underestimate jax's early power. but then again in higher ranks, people are less likely to want to lose prio so they try to contest and it becomes sorta like this instead

Just like I would do the same to him if he autofills adc against me. If you don't think rene misplayed you're just a delusional silver that cant play league. He ego play so hard, and he shouldn't even walk into top brush at all. Rene doesn't get prior against jax in any scenario.

The Jax rework looks like a fun refresh of a classic champion, but my god some of the animations feel janky and awkward in-game. Definitely gonna re-watch this once it gets cleaned up though.

ACTIVE: Jax enters Evasion for 2 seconds: a defensive stance that causes him to dodge all incoming non-Turret turret basic attacks and take 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities sourced from champions.
Counter Strike can be recast after 1 second, and does so automatically after the duration.
RECAST: Jax deals physical damage to nearby enemies, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase, and stuns them for 1 second.

Love how Poppy shows up on the counters just as she dies to Hushen
3 levels plus team.
It's a lane counter more than anything, since she can block every second Q trade and do great damage with her Q while still building tanky. Her ult also just generally makes sticky champions sad in teamfights.

Zhonyas makes sense to me. Gives him more tankiness and burst, and after he pops his E if he’s ever in danger he can use Zhonyas to buy time for his E to come back up again or even ward hop out. It’s genius actually.

If you one trick a champion my theory is you spend a lot more time learning how to play optimally vs certain champs

This might be the only time I learned just one new thing from these videos, maybe because Jax is extremely basic and straight forward. The krug trick is cool though.
his dives imo are impressive, i dive often on jax but the way he masterfully dives when the opponent is only half hp is cool to me. I also never thought about just going a zhonyas thats smart
@@chessplatypus4769 zhonyas is arguably valuable even on champs with no ap scaling, highly situational but its just too broken of an item sometimes

Malphite really, and it's not even because he can kill you. It's because he's going to bore you at top, then gets an easy kill with his jungle at level 6 before getting 200+ armor at 12 minutes.
Looking at this guy is really interesting, you can easily see how this guy plays compared to your average high elo jax
Recognizing enemy gameplan and playing against it is so important...

Stop going doran shield vs melee. You think renekton would have fared better because of HP regen, but then Jax knows he has D shield, and therefore, less AD, and all ins him even easier.
Stop thinking you could do better, and stop underestimating the player's opponents

no way i will watch it all, stoped at about 3 mins, grasp is smart in some matchups however lethal tempo will be better in most, simillar to yasuo, regarding items, i think zhoyna and nashor are the only two you can consider, but most of the times wits end or botrk would be better then nashor, divine is by far the best item for now

if you can keep hitting your target go triforce and tempo, if its short trades go grasp and sunder
meh was hoping to see him play tough matchups. just about every top laner can 1v1 kennen, and jax vs renekton is more favored to jax.

footwork is pretty much the coolest part of league's micro gameplay (which is why sweetspot champs have the best designs imo), so the man would be respectable if jax wasn't such a boring stat-checker of a champ. though that lies more so with how his e works than anything. unconditional immunity is just bad design, if it decreased damage or had a drawback like pantheon's directional block, jax would be infinitely less degenerate

You forgot to mention, when Jax dives the Kennen, he doesnt attack the kennen right away because he's waiting for him to use his stun. If Jax attacks right away, Kennen stuns him under tower and therefore, he dies.

"Chip damage" does not refer to attacks that hit you and deal damage. "Chip damage" specifically refers to the small amount of penalty damage taken when blocking an attack.
i mean,it could also be small amounts of dmg, terms can be interchangeable for different game genres

personally i do not think he can scale out and win more than 50% of games with grasp of the undying.
i do note that he has high jax mastery and can lane well.

ap is very squishy - doesnt scale as well as ad + useless if you're behind
ap is fotm built by ppl who dont know better, if you fall behind you're completely useless
main draw is big aoe burst, but if you're going to do that, just play diana
I think you can go for AP if your team lacks AP damage. Other than that there's no reason to build full AP.
What surprises me is that people don't build hybrid builds (which used to be really good on Jax back in the day). You know something like Sunderer + Nashors.

I agree, Jax is like Yasuo or Irelia. You just cant 1v1 him after he gets his core, even if he is far behind. I had games as Renekton where i was an item and some levels over him, but once he reached lvl 9 and his first item,i just couldnt contest the lane, which should never happen imo.
