    I HAVE LITERALLY GONE INSANE trying to understand this.
    This video has been the clearest explanation on planet earth. I was in tears trying to read my book, listen to my instructor BABBLE and watch bad youtube vids.
    thank you!

      This is EXACTLY where I'm coming from as well. You pay for these damn lectures, tutorials and maybe textbooks, you waste all your time, and after all that you have to consult TH-cam for clear and helpful explanations. Sometimes I wonder whether uni actually works...

      @songa520 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think you have "literarily gone insane" if you are still able to understand this video...

    It is so important to stress the fine print. If r is small, it does not mean that there is no relationship. It means that there is no LINEAR relationship. It is so important to hammer this down on students and instructors alike.

    Not sure what you mean... Are you asking what software I use? It's a whole bunch of things. I'm using a wacom tablet to input (instead of a mouse). I'm using a free drawing program called SmoothDraw, it's a bit like Microsoft Paint but a bit more functionality. And then I'm capturing my screen with Camtasia screencasting software. So it's not an "elearning tool" as such, it's more a hodgepodge of programs that help me put it all together.

    I believe it should be Sy instead of Yx at 8:37.... My question is , what do they (Sx and Sy) stand for???

  • @kamilaQru
    @kamilaQru 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    You forgot about one very important thing here, which is saying to your audience: correlations do NOT indicate casual relationships. When you talk about dependent and independent variables you do suggest that such causal relationship exists. I would rather talk about variable X1 and variable X2 instead of X (independent variable) and Y (dependent variable).
