    I hadn't found such excellently explained video till date for stats. I have an interview into the data analytics field and this helped me understand and apply time series charts so well for whenever I use it in Tableau. Hope to see more coming :)
    I would love to follow you for my Data Analytics learning journey.

    I am trying to analyse a past series of numbers that oscillates between 107 & 210 with a normal frequency bell curve distribution of mean 162. What is the way to extrapolate/project short term future range for a trendless but cyclical time series?

    Hey, when you say (around 18:30 mins) that the it does not have fluctuating peaks and troughs that is variation , relative to which line are you saying that the variation is less? I mean how do we calculate the rolling variance here?

  • @further_maths
    @further_maths  13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @linrulezzz Yeah that's a tough one!! A whopping 50% of students taking that exam said the answer was D, with only 39% of students correctly answering E. I think the "only" part put a lot of people off, because it looks like it has some sort of variation, probably cyclical, given those peaks and troughs. But that's not one of your possible answers so you just have to go with the one that makes the *most sense*. Can you see how its definitely not seasonal though? Bastard of a question!! Hehe

    Hi! Thank you very much for this great video :)
    I have a little question about the "Random" sample (minute 10:30)... I understand that there is a single peak in the series, however this could be noise? Then the remaining series could be analyzed separately and in such a case find some pattern or regular behavior?
    Thanks a lot for your answer!
