Hi, thanks for this great video. My wife has just bought the Hybrid model here in Korea. She passed me her New Avante, and with tears in my eyes I had to throw my lovely but very old Verna with only 70K Km in it. Anyway, the manual of the New Grandeur is in perfect Korean and I am a foreigner, so I cant understand it, and my wife has no time to read this big book. It has been snowing and freezing cold in Korea and yesterday I put it in the garage for her. This was the first time I sit on the driving seat and I have 2 questions about the car: a- Related to snow and ice. I dont know how to put the whippers upright so they dont get stuck when there is snow and ice. Can it be done? Also, the rear mirrors automatically open as you approach to the car. I said to my wife that if there is ice or snow they may break if we dont remove the ice first. She is not worried and told me that nobody has complained about that (totally wife mode). b- Ralenti and hand-break. I saw this car does not have hand-brake per se, is it right? It seems that automatically activates when you put it in P position. Parking the car in the garage with very limited space was a challenge and I only had about 10cm on each side. In all the cars I drove before, if you release the brake without pressing the accelerator the car will move in 'ralenti' at walking speed, you can move the car centimeters playing with the brake and the car ralenti. But this car did not do it, I had to press the accelerator for the car to move (with the associated jump). Is that right or is it something that can be configurated? Thanks Oh! She told me that because all of these safety features the insurance is cheaper than less powerful cars.
1. Wiper. Turn off the vehicle(restart it and turn it off it’s been sitting off for a while) and push up or down the wiper for a few seconds, it will go into the carwash mode, making it stay up. Grandeur, it will mostly be pushing down since the direction is reverse due to column type shifter. 2. Most of the lately HMG cars get EPB: Electronic Parking Brake, hence no hand ebrake. You can disable it with the button left to the steering wheel. As for moving the vehicle in the garage, I think it is the Autohold that is stopping you from doing so. And lastly, yes Korean insurance companies to give a huge discount on latest techs, the ADAS and many safety related features do help a lot. Wife is always right! 😉

Why is hyundai obsessed with putting rear turning signals so low on the bumber? Honestly - not like I can afford this car - but even if I could this would be a big NO for me. Such a shame because they make very beautiful cars lately, there is this "retro" feel about them which I love.
The interior and the drive looks lovely. Definitely interested in eride2. Exterior probably better with n line mod to that staria like bumper grille. Seen a few staria with slightly damaged grille, looks like a cheap van.
I wish the two side spokes on the steering wheel where the buttons were laid out were matte stainless steel like rest of the design elements..the black just looks soo odd
