what are your thoughts on Nintendo's lawsuit against Palworld?

@tracksuitvelours I mean... I call my pals Pokémon all the time. It's hard to deny that there are similarities. When someone is developing new concepts/projects, they take inspiration for the world around them. I don't agree with Nintendo, but Nintendo wants a monopoly on anything closely associated with pokemon.

Nintendo made patents after this game already came out and made patents the whole capturing thing and how it's done. You can't just patent something when something is already created. By that logic, Nintendo owes ubesoft money for the breath of the wilds when you climb a tower and scan the map, that's assassin creeds thing. Nintendo, if they win, might completely hurt gaming for us now and the future.

@@cyberdevil7518 Nintendo waited almost 30 years before they did a patent?! Seriously? I hope they don't win. The whole thing is just annoying.

Tho, in reality, it sets a pretty bad premise for the future of gaming and freedom of creativity if they win. Imagine someone who patents the way you walk in the game, crazy stuff.
