@moxsy got a tip for you that you didn't mention when talking about having a pal good at one thing. Due to them walking off doing other stuff. If you pick up the pal and throw it down at a work area it will lock to that area. And stay there to only do that task even if nothing needs doing.

I was going to mention that but I also have another tip. In the dungeons, you can reset what Pal is the boss simply by leaving and coming back.
You can build over water if you use ceilings
Status Points can be reset by using the Memory Wiping Medicine in Palworld. To craft this consumable item, you need an Electric Medicine Workbench which unlocks at Technology Level 43. The Memory Wiping Medicine has no effect when consumed by a Pal, but it allows players to respec status points.
Update 01/31/2024 Patch Notes; "Fixed an issue where capture power strengthened by Lifmunk Effigies was reset when using memory reset drugs"

You can also just find one as a drop from a chest apparently. I had one at level 5.
Edit: It was probably a Lovander that dropped it.

Pressing "R" while inside a storage will auto-stack anything in your inventory with anything in the storage

The game literally tells you this if you take a second to look at the controls when in a chest storage.
Things I learned myself:
•Water types can put out fires in your base
•capturing Pals still gives you materials (and sometimes more than killing them it seems)
•sliding down hills and deploying the glider gives it a speed boost
•make at least one base near a bunch of ore deposits (a level 2 miner Pal is needed to automatically mine it, a level one won’t even try)
•capture as many pals of different types as you can. The worst that’ll happen is they become material for enhancing (or you can butcher them if you’re brutal).
•you can capture humans, but they’re not very good sadly. You cannot capture tower bosses unfortunately (modders, I’m waiting!)
•once you get a wheat field, a berry field, a mill and a cooking pot, you have an unlimited supply of high nutrition food (jam filled bun) that keeps for an hour per item and also helps regain sanity.
*coolers are basically useless because they require a freezing pal to constantly be on them otherwise the cooling effect immediately wears off. The effect isn’t really worth a designated pal anyways as by the time you have a cooler, you’ll already have an unlimited source of food from the berry field.
•pals with the handiwork ability of at least two can automatically take repair kits out of your box and repair things (I can’t stop them).
Pengullet can be a great early pal for the icebox, due to its water/ ice combo, it can both water fields and tend the ice box as well as transporting and building
If I have a 2nd base for the ores, would the first base pull material from the 2nd base to use (for building and crafting) and vice versa?
If your wanted and go to a boss fight. Avoid the boss and get it between you and the people that spawn trying to get you for being wanted. One the boss agros the other people hit it in the back with a pal ball and you will catch it.

also you can find the Pals who they use in the towers
my #1 beginner tip is to catch some of that fixys in that red mountains as soon as possible. they are arround lvl 4 and have the ability to dig up items when plaayced at the farm. and those items are arrows and blue palspheres all the time.
Now this is what I call a tip! First thing I'm going to do once I get home from work.
those creatures are having me form constantly creating spheres. try and get like 3 or 4 of them. also there is a fast travel point at the village near the spot where they're at so its super easy@@IM2awsme

@@cmelancoful alao tanzee he is a awesome base pal he can do multiple rhings. Look up where to catch a tanzee. Tanzee and vikzy are a muat in your base
Another important starter tip is to catch Vixy and put them to work on a ranch. Every minute or 2 a vixy will dig up a random item such as a pal sphere or gold coin and if you put a box nearby other pals will carry them over to the box. With 2 vixy in a farm for about 6 hours I got over 700 free pal spheres lol. The gold is also helpful for buying good pals from the merchant.
Do you have to have the game open and playing for this sorta stuff? Or does your base continue to idle? Silly question, only just started.
@rangabeats I play on xbox, no server access, a vixy will spawn a base level pal sphere, a few gold coins or a bundle of arrows every few minutes while I'm online. If your on steam and are using a server I don't know if your base goes inactive while your offline. However your pals will function while your off exploring/resourcing.
I heard if you condenser a Vixy it will also find higher tier items in the stable. so maybe good thing to catch every time we see them.

Biggest base building tip I can give to new players:
When you unlock upgrades to bases (such as stone instead of wood), update immediately. As you start to enter tougher zones, tougher enemies will raid your camp. If you're using wood and you get raided by fire enemies, everything is going to burn down.
Yeah now I get raided all the time.... 😭😭😭 I just wanted to explore a bit.
This is why forgotten island base is the best base. Enemies never raid it there lol
I build literally nothing but a wood platform with 2 walls and a roof + all the work stations, farms etc. Nothing ever got destroyed and I'm lvl 24 ?

One tip you should definitely not overlook is that when you get to lvl 8 you can unlock a harness for daedream which makes it where you can have 2 pals out during fights.
Daedreams stack, so you can have multiple of them out at once, though I'm not sure where the limit is, or if there is one. I had two out at one point and they combo blasted a Syndicate Thug into the air and off the side of a mountain!

Downside being be careful with them when you're actually trying to capture pals.
The necklace makes it VERY easy to incidentally knock the pal out.

@@carlosgonzalez2706 I saw a tip, use your pals to wear the desired Pal down, then command your pals to not attack when your opponent is weak. Then do the last bit on your own without your pals yeeting them into next year. It was a game changer for me, so simple but i had overlooked it at the start.
The fact this game is in early access still and has this much in it is crazy especially considering most negatives are gonna probably be fixed, the ideas of dlc/expansions could be crazy, the fact pokemon didn’t go for an open world game like this is crazy although they wouldn’t have done the base building so I guess I’m saying freaking well done pal world

Closest game freak ever got was legends Arceus. Actual best game in 3d. Because Pokemon will always be for kids, they will never branch into deep stories or more than 1 dimensional chars.
@@shadowraith10 Gamefreak and Nintendo never bothered because they're not in the PC market. Unless Nintendo releases a PC level handheld console, a Pokemon game with the scope of Palworld would still be a decade away.
The developers did an amazing thing for this. Forces you to grind for specfic mons that will not be ready for the next boss. Don't get me wrong, i freaking love this game.
one thing to note. the pals do not care what the chest has in it or not, they will take X item to closest chest to where they gather it. For early on, putting 1 chest between the rock and wood farm, they will place both into that one chest. Saves resources and space this way. And since you never need to go into the boxes yourself for these storages, you can place just 1 storage and place all your farming things around it and they will place into that. Same with placing beds and feeding things. they will go to closest to them. if you want 3 pal to work on wood and stone, place a bed for each by the spot and they will just keep going back and forth. becomes nice to plan out things.
Exception to this "carry the item to the closest chest with space" rule is food... They will not carry food to the closest chest, instead they will always try to carry food to the closest feeding "chest" (that basket of food, can't remember the name).
@@DarkSorrow29 i saw someone i think on reddit give a tip that if you fill the excess slots in your feed box with honey (which doesn't decay), the pals in your base will eat whatever's in the first slot first, so your stacks of probably thousands of berries can be in the first slot and the honey will block more valuable stuff like ingredients for cake or whatever from being put in the feed box
@@alexbeesley7971 yes, the thing about honey is correct as they will always eat the thing that’s in the first slot to the left… And I would assume that, if there is no “room” for a food item in the feeder box, that they might then take it to the closest chest, but I cant confirm this
@@DarkSorrow29 i'm pretty sure my cooler has had food increasing in it since then, though i haven't paid too close attention tbh. i luckily got a jolthog cryst from an enemy cage which only freezes so he just sits on the cooler and infinitely keeps it up lol
@@DarkSorrow29 are yall on pc? Im on xbox and they eat whatever is best it seems. I had raw berries slot 1 wheat slot 2 and cooked berries slot 3 and they would only eat the cooked berries until they ran out. I just started cooking them all as its better food anyways.
Fire is strong against both grass and ice. Which technically makes it the most versatile element, for now.

I mean, kinda makes sense. Never saw ice put out a fire. It's the water that the ice melts into that puts out the fire.

@@liamtaylor4142 Yes but fire is strong against both grass and ice currently. Look at the elements chart in the survival guide (mox also displays it in this video)
Find a starting base that has access to ore. Pals gather stone and lumber rather efficiently. Towards the tail end of the tutorial, you start to realize just how many ingots you need for construction and spheres for catching. I know he says that in video but it needs to be reiterated: you need a CRAPLOAD of ore.
Make a collar for your Daedream early. It's not a very powerful pal but it is everywhere early on. It's one (I'm assuming there is more than one) that can be deployed simultaneously with another Pal just by being on your team. The effect stacks with multiple Daedreams. It will save you resources in the long run if you're still crafting arrows.

I had played ark for about 7 years inconsistently including first six months of early access. It was a fun ride to see progression of the developers. TIP: custom settings and difficulty level can be used for not only single player but also up to 4 player co-op with save / offline feature and via an invite code to your friends on steam list. Ark did not have this built into the development of the game; and Palworld has this amazing feature at launch! I hope they keep this.
It’s really the same devs? :o this game feels like Conan exiles to me more than ark. So I didn’t really suspect them to be the same devs

Best advice is to hit respawn immediately after you make your char. And choose another starter location like the forgotten isle where it's nice and flat.
Why tho? I built my base right next to that massive tree mammoth. Once i lvl up to at least lvl 30 im clappin his ass (he fainted my cat helper snd will not be forgiven 😡)

Not telling how to live your life, but if you mark the fast travel first you can come back later and still respawn to a better area

Also a tip, if you want pals to only work a certain station. Pick them up and throw them at the station, they then lock to it.
It’s still glitchy for now, sometimes they’ll just get off of it and go do something else, especially after they wake up. It’s why I try to only use Pals with 1 Work Suitability. Like Anubis has lvl 4 handiwork but I use Loupmoons because they ONLY do handiwork and won’t get distracted from a task. I’m sure the kinks will get worked out along with Pal pathing. (Always getting stuck out side my base walls or in my house and starving to death while I’m gone
@@kenanderson4929 Yep, in my case I've definitely seen miner pals move on to something else as soon as the assigned rock is depleted, and not return even after the rock respawns

@@kenanderson4929this is so true. When I'm at my base and I want to build something right now, I would put anubis in my party and assign it to the task I want it to do, which it will stay at until it's finished or I run away off base.
It makes that high level useful even if I'm not assigning it to the base permanently!
I've tried this from the very start of my game and not once gotten it to work. I get the message along the lines of "no work in the immediate area, pal now switching to auto-work mode" or whatever it says, and they'll wander off to do something else, or nothing. And yes I make sure its a job they're well-proficient at.
Also I’d recommend building your base away from a fast travel point since the base is a fast travel itself.

I found this out late while I was playing. I have no regrets though loving this game so much.
One huge tip for everyone :
When building a base, be sure to have about 1/2 meter of spacing.
Example for stone & wood sites, don’t put them right next to each other with no spacing.
Reasons cause if you have big Pals set in base, they will get stuck & unable to get out by themselves unless you use Palbox to remove them & place them back, they will pop back out infront of the Palbox.
"All types are only going to be good against one other type."
As we are all looking at an illustration that very clearly shows fire type as the dominant type.
For killing, but fire often leaves a dot on the pal and kills it when while its being captured.
Tip for ore:
Find a large patch of ore near a fast travel, place a box there.
Get yourself a Rushoar condensed to level 3 - you'll be one shoting ores with its rush ability (stop charge short my aiming weapon)
I had found out about the rush attack after accidentally crashing into shit and having a full inventory but that 3 star tip is clutch
Why go through the effort of catching 21 Rushoars when you can just get a digtoise and let them spin ontop of the ore. If you get an alpha digtoise from a dungeon you can place it between a bunch of ores and just watch it casually shave off 1000 ore at once
Capture a bunch of Tombats and they mine for you automatically, even during the night. Then just get some transportation pals to take the ore to chests and put a berry field and hotsprings down and the whole process is automated.
@TheKillerham5ter that's what I did until I got an alpha digtoise and realized farming 1k ore in a minute is less time consuming than setting up an ore farm lol my second base is just a box by 8 ores that I use as a TP point to collect all the ore every few days. Faster overall than tombats

The desolate church’s fast travel point is a good spot to go for ore. Just behind the church has a large deposit of ore. 63, -417. I just fast travel there every now and then and grab all the ore. Side note. There’s a statue inside to increase catch rate and increase pal stats. 10:04
I found that church last night & decided to make my first base there out front but then i realized my Pokémon wont reach around back for the Ore deposits so i think i’ll have to make a second base out back purely to Ore farm later

They basically took all that was good with Pokemon (stylish cuteness and elementals) and made them useful in both working, fighting and breeding. On top of that fights are actually fun in this game and even a real challenge. Game freak look and learn!!
It's Ark survival evolved with pokemon
The stats of the mons and the moves are definitely simpler than Pokémon tho. Game freak doesn’t really have anything to learn from here. They just need to add onto legends arceus
Pokemon devs do not care, nor will they ever care. They can shill out the same thoughtless dribble every year and be more profitable than nearly the entire gaming market. They will not learn. They're already implementing the lessons they have. Arceus was the most fun I'd had with a pokemon game in years on years. It was new, the way pokedex was made in to an achievement system was great. So much about it was good and they tossed all that in the trash. This game reminds me of arceus in a lot of ways, but just better in almost every aspect.
Pokemon would be fucking dead if combat was this barebones lol.
@@CatsHaveEars In their defense, they're making it for the switch... a console. If they are in the PC market they'd dominate but they already do in consoles.
There are a lot of early game pals that do a lot I've found that getting pals to only have one or two tasks actually helped me more in the long run. Rather than having pals that are generalists because then they will get distracted by tasks like woodcutting when I want them refining or crafting
Yeah this is a big one. I've seen people say "Get this pal early cause it can do a lot!" and then they have level 2 handiwork and like 4 other thins they can do, and they never do the handiwork. If you manually assign them, they will ONLY do what you assign them to. So it's like darned if ya do, darned if ya don't.
it is definitely annoying when i got a tombat to mine all the ores in my base but it always defaults to the stone pit, even though i have a level 1 miner working on that. i'll throw it at an ore and it'll work on it, but if i leave and come back it recalculates its job and goes back to the pit.

This game is dope picked it up yesterday and played it with my son we stayed up till 7am which is a first for the both of us and especially for him since he doesn’t really like sandbox games he didn’t stop mentioning that point through our whole grinding lol

I would love a full base video. I'm terrible at making bases in games and usually just make mine based on ones I see I like and yours looks great 😅
You can build over water. You have to build a wall on a foundation and then use ceilings.
Another tip I would add is, catch 10 of everything you see right away. You get bonus exp for the 1st 10 capture of a Pal, and leveling up faster is essential to progression as a lot of technology you need to help setup a proper base is locked behind levels.
For the base spawn point: I am a much lower level with less stuff on my base, but when I disassembled the base spawn point, none of the stuff I had built was deleted, it all stayed. The only thing I had to do after deleting and re-adding the base spawn point was re-assign pals
Some things do despawn and drop items.
The two i know get destroyed are the ranch and the statue of power.
Not everything requires you to have a base to build it and this is why it did not disassemble
Stuff built outside the blue zone deteriorates over time.
This game is everything I wanted in a pokemon game since getting older

I believe another really great early tip is if you can catch “Vixy” and let them graze - they will supply you with Basic PalSpheres and Arrows passively - Ive collected over 300+ over the corse of a few hours of play. Extremely worth early game when youre learning how to throw and position early on! The free arrows are also a wonderful cost assistant as well!
In addition the Mau pals (catch in dungeons) passively dig up gold for you. Vixy does that rarely, I haven't set a Mau to graze yet, so I don't know how much better Mau does it.
One thing to take into consideration when base building would be to try and find a place with choke points that force raiders into a funnel. It makes fighting them easier. Especially if you lay mine fields and turrets down in front of them.
I built my first base exactly where the first base in this video is. All Raiders would have to run all the way around the lake and could only approach from one direction. Even if they came from above, they would have to run all the way down the ramp and around the lake. But unfortunately because it's right against a cliff, all my pals would clip into the cliff, get stuck, and then starve. There wasn't enough space to do anything. If they're able to fix some of the clipping issues and make it easier to build stairs, It would be the absolute perfect early game base location (for some reason foundations don't clip to steps so that you can keep building. You can only clip steps going down from already built foundations or roofs, which makes it extremely hard to use building to traverse ground levels currently).
I made a base athletic the top of a mountain looking circular area with a bridge going to it and it has like 7 ores right on top and made a gate where the bridge is and the raiders always come from the cliff side and can't even get up to my base so I have one base that absolutely can be raided and on top of that I can glide down there and they just constantly walking the cliff trying to get in my blue circle and will not aggro on me no matter what so I've gotten some harder to find pals really early just siting on my base waiting for raids and the. Gliding down and hitting them until they have 1 health amd catching g them I had like lvl 15s ad 17s when I was lvl 10 haha

You can also assign your pal to the base and another pal will carry it to the bed. It will revive quicker than waiting the 10 minutes.
When over weight in your base after deconstructing, drop the resources or split the stacks and then drop them. If you have a good set up, the pals will swarm the resources and move them to a box. Split stack only if you plan on helping move the resources.
Building is heavily reliant on foundations, the player can only build out so far before the game wants to stop them.
When building your base make sure to have a central pathway for the Pals to use to avoid having pathing issues and don't make your base overly complicated then expect your pals to be able to find their way to the destination.
When placing beds, make sure they are on a foundation on the ground. (Not a rock formation) This will help stop certain Pals from falling into the rocks. Same goes for placing work stations beside a rock formation. Even though I had the access points away from the rock formation, the Pals some how managed to get stuck. So have them about a foot or 2 away from it and not against it.
XP is heavily based on capturing the first 10 Pals of a certain type. After that you don't get XP from what I have seen.

You can. Unfortunately the feature is pointless on pals who do more than one thing.
I have an ore deposit base and none of them will work on them apart from my mammoth. From the looks of it if a pal has arms they have too many tasks they can do and seem to focus especially on transport. Eight pals in my mining base and only one actually mines.

This was extremely helpful! I watched a video last night just because it came up on my feed, it was an hour long and I got two things from it. Just about every section of this video taught me something new. I'm about to restart my game because of it lol mainly because I put a bunch of stats into attack 😭
nothing makes me more sad than looking at your base status reports and seeing all those pals neglected sick hurt and hungry while you talk about efficiency xD

If you make a 2nd base for resource extraction. Invest a little bit on processing the raw materials.
Ingots are lighter than ores for example, so you can carry more in between bases

hey man, if you build a wall on your little dock by the water, then build a roof- you can make the roof overhang over the wall, you cant do it endlessly, but you can add a little bit more space to your base that way. build a foundation all along the water, and then build walls facing towards the water - stairs up to the walls, and then make roofs over the walls towards the water, you can build it out a bit
Press C during building mode to delete structures. SO glad I read this, actually came in clutch

When it comes to specing into “weight” there are also pals that increase your carry capacity.. so you don’t need to go spec that much into weight
So I go on farming runs and use 5 pals that increase my carry capacity

Building rooftops over water might be possible. Fundations require contact with the ground but if you make a fundation > wall/stairs > rooftop you should be able to go beyond the area the fundation is on with the second floor and flat rooftops count as buildable surface so you should be able to build at least some constructions on it.

-after opening a storage box press R to auto sorts inventory items into the box. What i mean is if you have wood in the box it will auto drop wood into the box from your inventory and nothing more. Really useful.
- water pals can put out fire in your base.
-ice pal can cool the cooler box actually extending how long it takes for stuff to root.
- if you put Vixy in the ranch it will dig out arrows and blue spheres. Really useful early on.
- mini bosses marked on map like Chillet respawn daily. Good way to farm ancient parts early on.
A good early game tip is get one or more Vixy at ranch, they will dig up the basic pal spheres, so intstead of crafting like 5 each time i got to base, i picked up 30 from the ground or nearby chest.
For the Base building section, I'd recommend looking around the map for a spot that looks like a brown circle with pathways leading between them. These areas are mostly flat and the pathways give a good idea of how you want to set up for raids.
Other tips:
1. Rename your Pals to something specific to what you want them to do. Are they a workhorse? Base Defense? Boss Challenger? Makes it much easier to distinguish if you have multiple of the same Pal.
2. Once you can make multiple bases (max 3), those bases should be used for specific purposes. I found an area that had a lot of Coal, Ore, Stone, and trees all withing a small confined area. I made that spot specifically for Pals to gather those resources and even have some furnaces there to process the ore into ingots. This saves me a lot of space back at my main base and I produce much more resources in one area without the need of the buildable farms since all of those resources respawn.
3. Don't kill Pals for resources! Capture them then butcher the ones you don't want to keep, you will get resources for capturing them as well as butchering. Double the resources!
I don’t even hate that I love this game as much as I do. Pokémon+Breath of the Wild+guns=my childhood and adulthood gaming combined.

Just a heads up point number 1 (respec's), later in game you unlock the electric medical bench which has a (respec) potion that can be crafted. Just thought you might want to know. :D

BTW if u move your palbox it breaks anything that is in that category so the ranch, incubator etc. it doesn't break structures or anything else. so u can move outta the ocean just fine

if you have more than one base that has the required level-up mission structures, then no. if you have one base, youll have to rebuild the stuff to level it up again

My tip (on pc, playing the Xbox/MS Store version) for base building is that if you start climbing on an interior wall and climb up onto the ceiling you'll teleport to the next floor. I was on a full-drop (inv and Pal party) server and used this to build a hidden loot room in my base under some stairs, and it's great for building vertically!
I cannot stress this enough, egg hunt. Early on I went into areas much higher level than me (30+ level pals) and I ran around till I found a bunch of eggs. Those eggs have been my coolest and strongest pals and have carried me. Also everyone always asks where I’ve found them 😂😂
Same. What I did soon as I could fly. Got me a huge some nice pals from huge eggs.
FYI: Upgrading mounts (at least Direhowls) does increase their speed. My partner and I both had basically identical Puppers and after I upgraded mine, we raced and i was able to overtake them.
the direhowl might be different since its passive is that it moves faster than most other mounts, so leveling that passive might boost the speed? idk just a hypothesis lol
I got a direhowl thru one of the dungeon and it had a passive with 20% increased speed ontop the speed you get from mounting. I saw a tip that said if you jump while you do Fierce Fang, you jump really far lol.
Mine has +30% speed already, can't wait to upgrade it for even more zooming around.

The movement speed passive on pals DOES make their mounted speed faster. Make sure your pal has swift or runner every time!!!
build on foundations. Game even lets ya chose the height, that way you're always on a flat surface. Bit extra work for the wood but it looks so much better, even the pal beds look way better that way.
However they are made of wood which can burn and break all your stuff instantly so be careful

@@EgaTehPro i surrounded the foundations with the palbox with stone foundations soon as i could. lol Being at the center of it all and enclosed, no issues. But yah, its even better for second and third base when ya have stone buildings unlocked.
About the pal auto pathing, there are some caveats.
Ive managed to make my Pals send food directly to my cooler box by making sure every slot in my feeding bin is full, even if its just splitting stacks of the same food. For some reason the pals prioritize the bin before the cooler box unfortunately. But they WILL transport to the fridge/box if the bin is "full".
Also, the pals will send non food stuff to the nearest storage container. Doesnt matter whats in it. Ive had stone and wood pop up in other containers some times simply because it was the closest one.
For map icons i use the pickaxe to mark spots with 4+ node deposits, the star icon for dungeons, Box icon for skill trees, pal sphere icon for locations of pals i want to capture.

Something to note about the attack stat, the number is a percentage modifier. I have 120 attack, so I get a 20% bonus attack increase. With end game armor and shields you can invest much less into HP and still be very tanky and if you use your own guns, especially if you find higher level gun schematics for things like the rocket launcher or assault rifle you will want to have that attack increase for yourself. It is definitely playstyle dependent though
I think HP is also kind of less important in higher difficulty settings (mayhaps a good sweetspot exists but I just overdumped it and kind of regret that), where things will just kill you when shields are down anyway. Attack is kinda underrated I think.
But yeah, playstyle dependent. Stamina's the king stat for me still though.

One helpful tip I wanted to share: when you capture a new Pal, make sure to check their abilities and compatibility with other Pals. Some Pals have special abilities that can greatly assist in battles or resource gathering, and combining certain Pals together can create a powerful synergy. It's worth experimenting and finding the best combinations for your gameplay style.

There's an article saying you can respec stat points with the "Memory Wiping Medicine", requiring the "Electric Medicine Workbench" unlocking at "Tech level 43". I have no idea if this is accurate, I don't own the game or I'd look myself.
Lovander can also drop the Memory Wiping Medicine.
Don't use it till the catch rate reset is patched. Currently it permanent removes that, to my knowledge.
There are mounts that can ride in water with not stamina usage. When you fall into the water with no stamina, summon the mount - and ride it. You won’t drown and will recover your stamina.
birds won't drown ever
Birds can hover over water to regen stamina and can't take fall damage

Spent about 8 hours yesterday playing Palworld and having a GRAND ol'Time!
I think today, I take what I've learned and start a New Game: I've learned enough that I can get back to ALMOST where I am now Gear and Pal wise in like 3 hours.
I wish we could get party loadouts in the game. Its a hassle to find pals for mining, logging, combat, speed, farming etc. Theres no way to sort by passive skills.
This is a evil tip but if you catcher pals you get the rewards but if you also butcher them after words you still get drops again. This is only for those evil soulless players like me.
What I do is always have one spot empty and when I caught the pal I immediately butcher them and continue the hunt. rinse and repeat I really hope it doesn't get fixed but that's just my evil side hoping.

For the compression, it does increase the speed of your mount. I have a 3x compress wolf that has Mine Forman for when I'm running around gathering mineable resources.
Pal don't know where to put materials. They put it to the closet chest with an open slot. I've confirmed this in 2 different playthroughs
i am not sure if i agree with diversifying type coverage on moves on your pals. i think it can be beneficial to use pokemon specifcly against a certain type and then you want the mto spam different moves of the same type to do more dmg

When you're creating a world, you can go to world settings and at the bottom it says "death penalty". Change it from drop all items to drop nothing

Another tip, especially when you're pretty early into the game, I suggest getting a couple of Vixy's and throwing them in one of your ranches. They'll dig up all kinds of useful stuff like spheres, keys, and arrows. One of my bases just has a bunch of Vixy on the ranch and I have so many spheres I dont even know what to do with them.

Apparently they can also give gold, but Mau (capture from dungeons) focuses on gold. Dunno how much that difference it is though, but probably more than Vixy

You can sometimes build ranches and other large structures under a hill if you cant place because of elevation. The pets will still find it and will drop resources like normal
You also could just migrate your base to a better spot after you got your second base unlocked. Just find a nice spot you like, set up second base and dismantle old one if the spot was... poorly chosen before one knew better. You get all mats back so it is no big loss, just a bit of extra hauling and building new.

Does the attack stat only inprove melee attacks or would you do more damage with a firearm?
It increases firearm damage as well. At level 40 my rifle hits for like 900 damage while my pal moves hit for 3K+. Just doesn't feel super worth investing into imo + the lower attack helps u get pals to 1 hp without killing them for each captures.

Also on the topic of elemental matchups: STAB and elemental reactions.
Pals using attacks with their same type do 20% additional damage. eg a fire pal using fire attacks does more damage than an electric pal using those same attacks. Second, pals suffering from an elemental status such as on fire or poisoned will take additional damage from whatever element that status would be weak to. They also take less damage from whatever that element is strong against. So if you light an enemy on fire, it will take extra damage from Water type attacks and half damage from Grass or Ice types.
Also worth noting that nothing resists neutral. Dark does extra damage to neutral, but it does NOT resist neutral.
To be clear, are you saying that you can get your pals to deposit ALL wood into a single supply container if you put wood and nothing else in a container?
So even if some wood is generated on the other side of the base and there are multiple empty (or partially empty) containers between them and the container with only wood, they will walk past all those containers all the way to the other side of the base to put it into the ‘wood’ container? Because I tried to get them to stick to a single container and they seem to just stick it into whichever one is closest, as long as there is room. I haven’t tried making a container exclusive to a single material though so I’m wondering if that’s the trick and those idiots just can’t do exclusive deposits if there are even 2 different things.

Regarding pals with multiple skills, you do know you can pick them up and throw them at a task you want them to focus and lock on to right? You don't need to get a pal with just watering to make them water, you can throw them at a berry farm and they will focus on that berry farm. Maybe this is trickier if you have a ton of things that need watering (I only have 1 berry farm so far), but there is at least some options there.
Yeah, but they dont really "lock" to it, once it's finished they go wander off and do whatever else. It's just more efficient to use something that will only do that one thing so that you dont have to manage it manually.
@dandy0397 There's a monitoring post which allows you to chuck pals on a job and they stay on that job that's possibly what they meant by lock on a job

There's a really good base spot on the yellow island where there's flat terraces (almost exactly the size of the land claim) with 8 ore nodes. Just moved my base there.
We just built our second base there. An hour later with a few mining 2 pok- pals assigned, we already had 200 ingots. Would recommend spot !

One of the best Pokémon games ever made. It is a lot of fun, even in early release. If they patch in a ‘move’ option for the base build items and fix steam deck compatibility, it will be an all time great.
We just gotta keep telling that via their twitter and any surveys that come out. If they smart they will make the improvements that will keep the player base happy and growing. So far loving this game, and I will gladly put money for DLCs if they keep the good work up!
