I think there won't be an end update, in 1.9 they added the end city, plus the end is supposed to be a empty depressing area
Sure there was an “end update” (1.9 combat update), but conpared to the other dimensions, the end looks bland in comparison.

On the last Minecon Jeb said that before they add a 3rd dimension they want to update the already existing dimensions. And there is only 2 dimensions. The Nether and the End. Since Jeb said 'Dimensions' in plural, that means the End will also get an update like the Nether just did before they add a 3rd dimension

After the cave update, we desperately need an end update. It’s as bad as the old nether, the only reason to go to the end islands is for the elytra, and it’s desolate and yawn-inducing. Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks this

You beat Minecraft when you go through the end portal and get the credits. This simultaneously puts you in the overworld, meaning you always have to go to the overworld to beat Minecraft

Seeing toycat do this has increased my respect for him tenfold
1. Find a end city (might have to try different seeds)(chorus fruit useful as well)
2. Open end chests and tools and loot
3. Kill endermen so you get ender pearls (2 block roof to kill)
4. Hop into a end portal so you go back to main island
5. Kill the Enderdragon (pretty hard with literally no loot or bow)(Mine the end island for endstone)
6. Go back to the overworld
7. Now it becomes a normal survival world.

The command for spawning an end portal is, "Execute @s ~~~ Setblock ~ ~ ~ End_Portal.
He meant end gateway, which there is no command for in Bedrock

It'd be cool if you could feed two endermen some chorus fruit so they make a peaceful ender-trader (like a small enderman with a purple coat) that trades you some ender items.

It's definitely coming at some point (my prediction is 1.17 or 1.18); Jeb was stated something along the lines of them needing to improve the current dimensions before working on a new one.
Long story short, it's possible for 1.17 to update the end, 1.18 will add a new dimension and it won't be until 1.19 that we get a cave update.
It pisses me off that there's so much stuff from java that I want added to bedrock but doesn't get added, but one of the only things I don't want, cursed enchantments, gets added

It’s already op. You can teleport inside buildings, use it to escape the void or fall damage, and is a viable food source if you’re stuck in the end.

This challenge is relatively easy in Bedrock edition. In Java Edtion is more difficult and engaging due to hit delay and smarter dragon

The blast protection isn’t what’s saving you, if you place at least one block between you and an explosion you take almost no damage.
