Thank you SO MUCH for not interrupting this song to chatter. So many reactors RUIN their first experience of this performance by STOPPING it to talk.
You just let it flow over you. Your reaction was THE PERFECT reaction. Respect. Awe. Edge of your seat. Blown away - TOO INTO THE SONG to stop it. AND you let it play to the end to see her feelings AFTER she finished.
THIS should be an object lesson in how to react to any great live performance.
    Chef’s kiss. ❤️

Most reactors have to interrupt video's due to copy rights.
Else it will be blocked. Fortunately she did interrupt this video by talking in between. Not a lot, but still.

Hello. I just want to say how interesting is how people all around the world has just discovered Lara Fabian in 2020/2021, since she is VERY FAMOUS in France (top 10 best selling artist there), in Canada she is HUGE among Shania Twain and Celine Dion (Lara is a winner of hundreds of awards there), she is also the greatest selling and awarded artist in Belgium (where she was born). Lara actually is fluently in 5 languages, composes her songs in many languages as well. She has already recorded in 12 languages and sang live in all of them. Lara has more than 10 years of tranning in the Royal Conservatory of Belgium (she studied there from 8 to 18 years), also she never stopped having vocal (bel canto/erudict) classes since then, she is very professional and confident in evrything she does. She has been singing this profrssionally since 1988 (over 30 years and she keeps the same stamine and emotion), her very first song was released in 1985. When she sits and plays piano, many songs just comes out her mind and heart. Such a talented woman. When she travels to Italy she only speaks in Italian, in Canada she speaks in French and English, in Latin America she speaks perfectly Spanish as a native. She is almost a genius, also she is able to switch languages easily, like she uses to give interviews in 2 or 3 languages at the same time, the same when she is composing and singing live, she has many bi/tri lingual songs. I'm 31 and I Just met her 21 years ago, what you just watched here is nothing compared to what she uses to do in every concert since 1988. For exemple, she uses to sing the high part of the song Je Suis Malade (which means "I'm sick" um French) with out mic( 100% acappela) in HUGE places (over 9000 people inside). She is known for her master resonance, perfect pitch, fenomenous breathing control and of course to putting her heart out in every single performance she delivery to us. Even a Happy Birthday sang by hers is emotional and sounds crystal clear. She also holds notes from C5 to Eb5 over 17 seconds using perfect resonance and support in chest/mixed voice. Her vocal range live goes from D3 to G6 with perfect support. Also she composes 90% of her songs in 4 languages. When singing Lara can reach your eyes even if the camera is dar away from ver, she look at you behind the camera, it's amazing! She Lerned from the best erudict teachers from Belgium and Italy. Thank you.

Hello . Lara Fabian is from Quebec 🇲🇶. Canada. 🇨🇦 this song has been around since the 1980s. She is the greatest singer in Quebec. she is adored. Unfortunately, she was not lucky enough to have the same manager as Celine Dion who also comes from here. it's a shame that you're starting to know her, she's a singer who has the ability to get under the skin of her songs and she speaks several languages. For many like me, it is she who should have had Celine's place. luckily, she is worshiped here and in Europe. Igor Cotrove wrote several songs for her before Dimash Cudenbergen who has great admiration for Lara. In addition, he sings several songs of Lara and even participated with him in one of his Shows. Thank you for your feedback. and BRAVO Lara Fabian ♥️♥️🇲🇶🇨🇦 JE T'AIME

Dimashes idol is Lara actually!! She's very famous internationally. Very. She's sold millions of albums and has sung in many different languages. Dimash has said in many interviews how much he looks up to her and I doubt he would have sung in as many languages if Lara didn't pave the way for him. Also... there is a trio of Dimash Lara and Ada singing together Ta Amo Cosi or something like that. It's fabulous.

What you need to know is that this song was written in 20 minutes in 1973 by a singer named Serge Lama before being covered by Lara Fabian. And the best part (it's a well-known story in France) is that this song is a true story. The singer was married and met a woman who was also not free. This song was a way to put words to his pain. But the story ended well, the singer and the woman to whom this song was addressed then formed a happy couple. Serge Lama is still alive, his wife died in 2016.

This performance was my gateway drug to Fabian about 18 months ago. And I reacted pretty much exactly like you. Mesmerized, jaw open in astonishment. "Who...what...WHO is THIS?!?!"
Then I proceeded to consume everything I could find by her. She is honestly, imo, the most all-around stunning artist I've ever seen. Sterling technique used always to tell the heaer of the story. Of each and every song. (This is a cover she famously made her own, but she writes songs in French, English, Spanish, and Italian. Calls herself a songwriter with a voice.)
Yes, I am a late in life superfan. 🤣 Great reaction. I look forward to seeing perhaps more of your discovery of her gems. 👍

And the concert that you culled this from “ Lara With Love” is my favorite live concert of all time with songs she wrote like “ Adagio” , ( Dimash Version is also spectacular) “ Caruso”, “ I’m not from here” and her final song “ Broken Vow” popularized by Josh Groban” where she introduces it by explaining how she received the inspiration. Please continue your “ Lara Fabian journey with more songs from “ Lara With Love”

OH MY GOD, Diva of Dimish, and folks can see why xx his muse, his source of inspiration! Yes, her voice is unique and highest level of profesionalism in everything about singing is crazy, but to mention, It is one thing to have tallent and voice from the nature, and and of course technical skills aftar much work, an devoloping.... BUT IT IS ANOTHER THING when you SING A SONG IN THAT WAY!!! I listened this song some time ago, in another interpretations too, but I needed a cigarette after watching HER singing it! You belive or not, i had images in my dreams, with her singing these lyrics and waking up with ''WHAT WAS THAT'' face!!!! Her voice and face saying she is exhausted ( 2:35 ), her hand showing the dead bird ( 3:13) , when this is already not singing but screaming and sobing (C'EST CA! - momment 4:36) her face, from whispering to screaming, her eyes, her fingers, her hands, her moving, my God!!!! At 3:16 i was almost feeling i am the one about she is singing!!! ...she is all =THIS SONG, from the start, and ... after finishing it, brathing and shaking like coming back to us after traveling to hell and back. I need to say, this song is insane, and you need to have something there in the soul, to can sing it like that, and making it yours, your pain, your poison, your air breath. In an interview, last years, she said about this song, that it is a way to untie herself, to realise her emotions. And you can see, there are some emotions lol Love her for her way to sing, to performance, to deliver a message. Her fans call her their Angel or Ma Lara (my Lara) For her kind opened soul, for her way to be and to treat people around her all her life and carier. Love her through the years of singing, for her sublime voice, for her own written amazing lyrics, but love her more, for being LARA! Dimish is lucky he met and know her.

This is my favorite from Lara Fabian, but she has many other wonderful songs in her repertoire. My eyes water every time I listen to this one. It's a genius performance.
There is a strong connection between Lara and Dimash. Dimash has admired her since he was a child; I am sure he learned valuable lessons from her performance style, her incredible focus and concentration on every word. He has covered her 'Adagio' - a thoroughly enjoyable song as performed by both of them. And they have sung together, too - look for 'Te Amo Cosi.' She contributed lyrics to Dimash's 'Your Love,' sung in English. Approaching senility robs me of the memory of their other connections, but I am sure more exist.

Wonderful reaction as usual. There's a reason Lara reminds you of Dimash. Now you've met all the members of the family: Dimash, Lara, Diana, and Igor Krutoy. You can listen to Dimash and Lara do their own versions of Adagio (with Igor at the piano for Lara). You can hear Lara and Diana sing Tomorrow Is A Lie with Igor at the piano for both (lyrics by Lara, music by Igor). All 3 are masterful at conveying the emotions of a song. Lara and Dimash also sing together in at least one song.

Hi Gabbsi. I am very glad that you did this. I suggested this a couple of days ago after your reaction to Dimash's Ogni Pietra. What did i tell you about being shocked!
She is so incredible and you will see from her other songs that she always sings with a great deal of emotion and passion.
She also sings in about 10 different languages! Dimash admires her a lot and has sung quite a few of her songs.
I recommend the next few songs to react to. You're not from here, Broken Vow, Caruso, Adagio and Perdere l'amore. They are all amazing!

Lara Fabian is an international superstar, and has been for several decades, just not as well known in the US. Through knowing that she's one of Dimash's inspirations has made people discover her again. Apart from her amazing voice, I don't know of another artist who consistently performs the lyrics, and gets completely invested in her songs. Just like Dimash she sings beautifully in many languages, and just like Dimash she had a great professional relationship with Igor Krutoy the famous Russian composer and producer. I recommend you react to her "Mademoiselle Hyde" and then immediately afterwards to Dimash's version. Of course her English at that point was way better than Dimash's, but they both produced wonderful performances.
When did Lara start pouring her heart and soul into each performance? Immediately, or so it seems. Here's when she was an up and coming singer when she was invited to do a duet with at the time the French Elvis Presley, Johnny Halliday, in "Requiem pour un fou": th-cam.com/video/PHwIF6jmOCY/w-d-xo.html
Another amazing performance is "Caruso" in Italian
Another where you could compare to Dimash's performance of the same song, is "Adagio", from the same show as the one you just reacted to.

Lyrics by Serge Lama music by Alice Dona

  • @richardleduc3544
    @richardleduc3544 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The song I'm Sick is inspired by a real heartache of Serge Lama, the story of a long secret relationship.
In 1969, the singer met Michèle Potier in Chamonix. Love is a certainty, but they are not free either: in 1968 Daisy Brun married her press secretary, she is married and the mother of a little boy. They love each other in secret for several years and promise to regain their freedoms, but Michèle hesitates and eventually flees and settles in Morocco for professional reasons. Lama is desperate, he wants to put words on his pain without succeeding, until the day he confides to his friend Alice Dona: "This story hurts me, it makes me sick". Back home, at the piano, Alice Dona composes in a few hours a melody [...], which very quickly she makes listen to the singer. It is a revelation and Serge Lama writes almost the entire text with a jet.3 He would later say, "The 80% of the song I wrote in 20 minutes is almost a shame. [...] it came out of my heart so much that I immediately felt that this song had something that others didn't have. ». The great Serge Lama...

Her version of Adagio, which Dimash also did in The Singer is awesome… Of course both versions are awesome. My favorite though is th-cam.com/video/3DSj59tXQys/w-d-xo.html - in this song, she had just finalized a divorce and she was going through a tough time and her fans knew it.

In the same emotional range , you can like to take a look to Ginette Reno , "Je ne suis qu'une chanson" ; th-cam.com/video/cB7Jp3Dt0U8/w-d-xo.html . Ginette Reno is an older french-canadian singer and was a model for Céline Dion and Lara Fabian . You can also look for Ginette Reno duo with Céline Dion ; "Un peu plus haut" : th-cam.com/video/YEB2C9Wx0Mw/w-d-xo.html . Or Ginette duo with Lionel Ritchie "Hello" ; th-cam.com/video/ZDqlbHvNc8I/w-d-xo.html .
