“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during is own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) th-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/w-d-xo.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella. Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic th-cam.com/video/SyILdRAOS88/w-d-xo.html
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( her grandfather is from Detroit). She was raised in sicilia first then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April and May 2023 she had again a wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, and in Ouzbekhistan and Kazakhstan. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Thank you! This is amazing. I only found her about 4 years ago through vocal coach reactions and I’m addicted to finding new reactors hear her for the first time. I knew some of what you outlined, but I had no clue about Sony and Celine. It bothers me when reactors compare her mixed voice with Celine because they aren’t comparing the sound, it’s the pronunciation and vowel modification inherent to native French speakers. Not only was Lara robbed, but so were all the people living in the US listening to the Titanic song ad nauseum. There was room for Lara on the charts!!!
@@L0C0vision there is a documentary describing what happened to Lara in the US: th-cam.com/video/TyB6vXDdZBY/w-d-xo.html And yes, there is no comparison between the full rich velvety voice of Lara and the nasal frontally placed voice of Celine, especially in the upper register.
@@L0C0vision Canadian French sounds a lot different from the French French, especially the spoken versions. When sung it imight be less noticable. The first time I heard Canadian French was Lucille Star I suppose with Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux montagnes.
Wow, let's take a deep breath after THAT... Incredible. Goosebumps all over my body, a rollercoaster of emotions and close to tears throughout most of this song. Well, "song" -- what an affront -- masterpiece, I'd rather say... Great reaction, Maddy. Love, all the way from Germany
Yes Maddy... Lara is a performer not just a singer. I have been listening (crying) to her for years. Please do more of her when you can. Nice reaction.
Lara is technically perfect. Sells a song better than anyone I've ever seen. She is top of my list of singers I'd love to see live....... I imagine it would be unforgettable.
Now we are talking emotions. Lara Fabian is all about that. This wonderful artist is one of my favorit artists of all time. If they dont play Lara Fabian at my funural i will not attend. Thank you for this beautiful reaction. You are a sweet empath for sure.❤
There's a reason why Lara is one of Dimash's idols while growing up, and why she inspired so many other upcoming artists. Nobody can make you FEEL emotion like Lara can. Believe it or not, this was a cover. And it would take a lot of courage to cover a song after Lara sings it! Dimash did cover several of her songs (not shocking!), including Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Love is like a dream, etc. Despite that Lara is close to the end of her multi-decades career, he sang with her several duets. As you dig deep into this amazing artist, make sure you select her live performances. She absolutely kills in those, which is very unusual as most other artists sound better once the studio has "fixed" their performance!
As you watch you at the start you can see she's literally being transported into the song & is living every word she sings.... Then at the end when the audience is cheering you actually see her re-enter her body & come back slightly shocked realizing oh right I'm not alone here then the moment in the song where the lyrics speak of her pouring her blood into her lover & she symbolically slits her own throat with her thumb..so powerful... thank you for discovering sharing & enjoying this .. I would also suggest her version of the song Caruso to react to
Lara - breaking reactors for years now! 💔😢 This song gets to me every. Single. Time. Every song of this entire concert (From Lara with Love) is worthy of reacting to. She is just a masterful singer & performer. Lovely reaction - thank you! ❤

Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! obra maestra impresionante de Lara Fabián, la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo entero, la voz de cristal más bella y perfecta que existe! Por favor reaccióne a Quédate, Adagio, Caruso, You're not from here, Perderé l'amore, I Guess i loved You, Traviatta, Lebedy, Parce que tu pars, Angels pass away, Tango, Desesperate housewife, Mademoiselle hide! She is the Top Female vocaliste in the world, major star in Europe, speaks fluently 4 languages, (Italian, French, English, Spanish) also Russian and Portugese. More than 30millions album sold world wide and almost unknown in the USA, i will let others explain her story, she is now 53 yo and just finished a world Tour in 2022. You now have the Lara-virus, no vaccin, no medication, she sings from her soul to yours....
Lara is famous enough for you to stick to the facts! She speaks 4 languages, studied Portuguese (in the past) and sings in 12 languages - including Russian with Igor Krutoy! /Lyubov pohozsaya na son - in Russian/ A man could be more polite than telling a lady her age! (If you are interested in this, look it up!) I think I have written this to you several times, but an uneducated, uncultured being does not learn from this!
@@robertsirois8341 often..... Don't worry because you forgot to correct the wrong information in Lara's language skills! You never know who is invisible! I've been following her for 22 years, traveling with her, and I'm even very close to her!!! She has a right to what she says about herself, but you don't!!!! DONE, I'm not looking for a pen pal! Bye bye!
"Emotive" the perfect word choice for Lara, NO other artist/singer moves me as she! No doubt you felt it too! As always your reactions are priceless and I thank you for them all! From my childhood days (1960"s) I've never heard a song that I did not feel moved in some way. I adore authentic hearts like yours! Hope you react to "Adagio" from this same concert "Lara with Love" and "Caruso"
Muy bonita tú reacción, Lara tiene un talento descomunal, es una artista con mayúsculas, dudo que alguien pueda interpretar un tema de la manera como ella lo hace en este.
I watch all your reactions, to Lara, and all your comments about her,and love all your comments. I'm 89 years old. And I live in Florida,USA. and bought tickets to her concert in Canada,inJune 2024. I have to see her before,I die.
Yes, you're right that "even her whisper is powerful", because it plays an important role as part of the story she is putting across to her audience. Everything she does on stage she has carefully workout and executes each part perfectly. In my view she has become perfection...the very best. Thank you for your truly worthy reaction.❤
I started tearing up when she started singing and I've watched this video 15-20 times. Lara's father says she is a 'storyteller in song' and surely she is.
Didn't want to bring you tears Maddy! 😥 But we are all the same with this one.... and it's also the best thing with music... emotion! Big hugs PS : it's just the start with Lara, you just saw 10% of what she can do !
Lara Fabian is one of the artists that inspired Dimash. You can see that there are some similarities of the singing styles between the both of them. She's an amazing singer.
Lara, what can I say, she is probably the most complete singer I ever heard, i wish youtube had timestamps on bookmarks, ive followed Lara from 12 years ago, she is awesome ;) nice reaction ;)
Lara is one of my favorites. No one but no one puts as much of themselves into performance or evokes as much emotion. By the way, I am a 71 year old man with longish hair and after seeing your hair I wonder if I should get a perm!
Es imposible no emocionarse con esta interpretación A parte del *dominio* que tiene de su voz..la actitud, esa interpretación Ya desde el principio ,la postura antes de cantar la primera nota...algo grandioso va a suceder
Great reaction, you just discovered one of the best vocalists ever, the muse of Igor Krutoy and the idol and inspiration of Dimash who covered several of her songs. She is a singer in 12 languages and a songwriter in 4. Second to none in drawing an audience into a song and story. I will post separate commentd about this song, her background, and a recommended playlist of her songs. There are many many gems….
Serge Lama wrote this song in 1973 . And the dramatic strenght comes from "Like when my mother went out one evening And she left me alone with my despair" It rings a bell in anybody's human mind. Yes it firstly was written by a man for a man.
Maddy, I have watched this performance nearly 20 times and it always gets me misty. All I want to do is wrap my arms around her and tell her that she deserves better. The funny thing is that the song was written by a man. Never the less, it takes a special talent to express the emotion that is conveyed not ONLY by the words. You did a great reaction to this performance and as a new subscriber, I expect to be treated again and again. A couple of songs for you: Home Free "Butts Remix", and "2 country guys sing "Nessun Dorma". I have more for you, but I'll be watching for these two. God Bless you and your house.
Hi Maddy, Thanks for introducing me to Lara Fabian. She is an awesome performer with a beautiful voice. Check out some other songs like Broken Vow, Caruso, Pedere L'amore
Lara didn't write this song but certainly looks and sounds like she feels it to her very soul. I recommend you check out Broken Vow, a song she co-wrote after experiencing a terrible betrayal. She performed it in the same concert as Je Suis Malade. It's heartbreaking.
A sensitive reaction to Lara Fabian's renowned cover of Je Suis Malade. Thanks. She has a lovely voice to go with her famed interpretation skills. Another excellent cover of this challenging song is Forestella's. You should see how a male South Korean male quartet interprets this song and brings some audience members (and some reactors) to tears. A brilliant crossover group, with harmonies to die for.
Love your channel Maddy. Lara is truly a fantastic vocalist and performer. It's too sad promoters in the USA overlooked her talent. Please check out Perdere L'Amore, Par Amour, Parqe Que Tu Pars, and You're Not From Here.
I've said it before and I mean it this song to me is the closing monologue before the embittered actor or actress throws themself from the bridge or unalize themselves. This is the absolute heart wrenching conclusion to unrequited feelings
Avec Le Temps by Léo Ferré (also sung Celine Dionne a good version). I was in love with a woman for 35 years that looked like Lara, but she was married and I stayed away (still know what love is and give in to resignation - you can't have it).
I would like you to react to a Spanish singer her name is Diana Navarro. She is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles with a very particular voice and incredible melismas. She always transmits when she sings. This time I would like you to react to one of her songs called "El perdón" official video clip. It will surprise you. Regards
She is amazing and can’t stop watching her❤. Pls react to je t aime live in Paris. It will blow your mind cause you have never seen anything like this…
Translating "Que tu t'en fous" as "That you don't care" is... not quite right. "That you don't give a fuck" is more accurate. This is one of the great live performances of my lifetime.
Señorita,le queda por descubrir otra dos divas Diana NAVARRO(el perdon, sola Salamanca...)y Mónica NARANJO(Europa, sobreviviré ...).Vas a tener mucho éxito en tu canal.Saludo desde Bruselas.
Lara is an outstanding performer who always sings with full emotions. You should have a look at her "Je t'aime" performance in Paris when the audience did something fantastic for her. th-cam.com/video/IYnFwUbC9A8/w-d-xo.html
After Je t'aime (emotional ver) and You're Not From Here, watch Lara's mini movie MV compilation she did with Igor Krutoy called Mademoiselle Zhivago (51 mins I think) here on TH-cam. A great choice of artist alongside Mylène Farmer. Ty 🇬🇧 🇨🇭
🇨🇦 Read below the comments by Eric Sicard ! He will tell you all about the song (which she did not write) and how her performance of it is probably the best ever ! He will tell you all about Lara as an artist and he will tell you about her music ! This journey has just begun . . .
When I read the words in English here is the thought I have - "this is pretty poison. Her words are sick - she is obsessive, possessive, desperate. These are the very words that come from the mouth of a pathologically, psychologically sick person. But I I say - very pretty in melody and voice in the French. If any woman said those things to me I would run from her like my hair was on fire. I would rightfully be fearful of her stalking me. People who obsess like that are very dangerous to others as well as to themselves.
Thank you for reacting to Lara ❤ Love this reaction to Lara ❤ One of my absolute favorites from Lara is Perdere l'amore th-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/w-d-xo.html In Italien ❤ Love Lara ❤ Love from Denmark ❤
We meet again, Miss Never Had Braces 😏. Yes, ma'am, Lara is incredible. The voice, the expression, emotion, and intensity is just crazy good. Can't help but seeing Lara as an older version of Emma Kok after watching her Voi la performance. Awful lot of similarities there.
Hi Maddy , I'm not sure if you've already reacted to Metallica's Enter Sandman or not and I realize it is about as far from Lara Fabian as you can get. There is a trio of women called VOB that do a cover of it that is really well done.
After all these years, Lara Fabian is still the best performer on the planet. Truly a unique legend.
Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version.

is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic

She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship
She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol:
I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version)
○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know")
She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love".
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration:
○ Floor Jansen (Adagio),
○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime),
○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie),
○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow),
○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace),
○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow),
○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow),
○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow),
○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime),
○ Forestella (Je suis Malade),
○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow),
○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow)
○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow),
○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know),
○ Il Divo (Adagio)
○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you),
○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow)
○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso),
○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie),
○ Amir (Je t’aime),
○ Vitas (Adagio),
○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio),
○ Jeck (Je T’Aime),
○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio),
○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade),
○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade),
○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio)
○ Majda Roumi (Adagio),
○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow),
○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow),
○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you)
○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime)
○ ....
@@L0C0vision there is a documentary describing what happened to Lara in the US: th-cam.com/video/TyB6vXDdZBY/w-d-xo.html
And yes, there is no comparison between the full rich velvety voice of Lara and the nasal frontally placed voice of Celine, especially in the upper register.
@@L0C0vision Canadian French sounds a lot different from the French French, especially the spoken versions. When sung it imight be less noticable. The first time I heard Canadian French was Lucille Star I suppose with Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux montagnes.
Been a fan of Lara for well over 25 years and have been fortunate to see her perform in Montréal three times. She is the Queen of the chanson genre!
Great reaction. This performance of Lara is one of my favorites of all time by any artist.
Such a great performance!
Yes Maddy... Lara is a performer not just a singer. I have been listening (crying) to her for years. Please do more of her when you can. Nice reaction.
🤍
Lara is technically perfect. Sells a song better than anyone I've ever seen. She is top of my list of singers I'd love to see live....... I imagine it would be unforgettable.
Now we are talking emotions. Lara Fabian is all about that. This wonderful artist is one of my favorit artists of all time. If they dont play Lara Fabian at my funural i will not attend. Thank you for this beautiful reaction. You are a sweet empath for sure.❤
So wonderful
France
This woman helped me in my live she is my biggest fan❤❤❤
🤍
yes I had put a comment for you to react to this performance.. every time I listen to it, I have tears in my eyes ! 😢
I would also suggest her version of the song Caruso to react to
Sad, angry, hopeless, all in one. And Lara managed to get that emotion, incredible. Next please react adagio, at the same concert ❤
So lovely
Great, Maddy! Another of my absolute favorites!
Great reaction Maddy. Lara can sing straight into your soul with a depth of emotion that very few other artists can match
So true!
No one pours themselves out on stage as much (or as beautifully) as Lara.
❄️❄️❄️❄️💧💧💧💧💧💧💙 ........ bahhhhhh booooooooom !!! Dang 😳
Right!
Lara Fabian is the Ultimate Artist.............she LIVES the story of every song she performs and allows an audience to live that story WITH her.
God bless your tears. Thank you for the reaction.
🤍🤍🤍🤍
Lara - breaking reactors for years now! 💔😢 This song gets to me every. Single. Time.
Every song of this entire concert (From Lara with Love) is worthy of reacting to. She is just a masterful singer & performer.
Lovely reaction - thank you! ❤

Lara's just one of the greatest performers of the last thirty years.
The creator of is song is Serge Lama a great singer in france, in 1973 😊
Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! obra maestra impresionante de Lara Fabián, la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo entero, la voz de cristal más bella y perfecta que existe! Por favor reaccióne a Quédate, Adagio, Caruso, You're not from here, Perderé l'amore, I Guess i loved You, Traviatta, Lebedy, Parce que tu pars, Angels pass away, Tango, Desesperate housewife, Mademoiselle hide! Gracias!
Wow!!
@@gingin51 Lara offen mentions her age in TV interviews , stop bitching for noting
@@gingin51 plus she did a world Tour called IT 50 for her 50th anniversaire i guess she does not mind
As always your reactions are
priceless and I thank you for them all!
🤍
When I see your tears, I just want to give you a big hug!
Hug 🤗
I watch all your reactions, to Lara, and all your comments about her,and love all your comments. I'm 89 years old. And I live in Florida,USA. and bought tickets to her concert in Canada,inJune 2024. I have to see her before,I die.
💗
Yes, you're right that "even her whisper is powerful", because it plays an important role as part of the story she is putting across to her audience. Everything she does on stage she has carefully workout and executes each part perfectly. In my view she has become perfection...the very best.
Thank you for your truly worthy reaction.❤
❤️
I started tearing up when she started singing and I've watched this video 15-20 times. Lara's father says she is a 'storyteller in song' and surely she is.
Hug 🤗
Oh my Good ! 😢🇫🇷
Amazing Lara ❤❤
Song was written by a french male singer named Serge Lama.
😮😮😮😮 more Lara❤
Lol I've watched that video about 100 times and I still get choked up.
So emotional
Didn't want to bring you tears Maddy! 😥 But we are all the same with this one.... and it's also the best thing with music... emotion! Big hugs
PS : it's just the start with Lara, you just saw 10% of what she can do !
Such a beautiful song! Thanks for this one!
Yay! Clicked thumb up even before watching. One of the most emotional songs. You kept your composure better than me. And I am a man.
🤍
Lara Fabian is one of the artists that inspired Dimash. You can see that there are some similarities of the singing styles between the both of them. She's an amazing singer.
Amazing
LARA is a World Star and she will remain so forever!
Definitely
Beautiful reaction and i totally agree with your words. She is an amazing artist in so many ways. Thanks for sharing ❤
Absolutely!!
„You are not from here“ live is an amazing song by her.

Lara, what can I say, she is probably the most complete singer I ever heard, i wish youtube had timestamps on bookmarks, ive followed Lara from 12 years ago, she is awesome ;) nice reaction ;)
You can listen to it offline, no worries, its as close to this (not as good but she's an underrated singer) th-cam.com/video/L9R2A3gNkpk/w-d-xo.html
Yesss
I love real people and that makes you special. Thank you!
❤️
Lara is one of my favorites. No one but no one puts as much of themselves into performance or evokes as much emotion. By the way, I am a 71 year old man with longish hair and after seeing your hair I wonder if I should get a perm!
Es imposible no emocionarse con esta interpretación
A parte del *dominio* que tiene de su voz..la actitud, esa interpretación
Ya desde el principio ,la postura antes de cantar la primera nota...algo grandioso va a suceder
Maddy, you're the best., and I love your smile More Lara please.
💖
She stays in character even after the song ,a true artist
Great reaction, you just discovered one of the best vocalists ever, the muse of Igor Krutoy and the idol and inspiration of Dimash who covered several of her songs.
She is a singer in 12 languages and a songwriter in 4. Second to none in drawing an audience into a song and story.
I will post separate commentd about this song, her background, and a recommended playlist of her songs.
There are many many gems….
She's in a league of her own! Pure Talent!
So cute wanting to let everyone see the subtitles

Glorious
The Bee Gees started a joke that had the whole world laughing. Lara stared a lament that had the whole world bawling.
Hi Maddy beautiful Lady, After SOS , Je suis malade so welcome to french songs and thanks for your émotions, Kiss from Paris.
Thanks for sharing, thanks for your great sensibility and kindness..You are unic..❤

@@MaddyReactions you're welcome
Serge Lama wrote this song in 1973 . And the dramatic strenght comes from
"Like when my mother went out one evening
And she left me alone with my despair"
It rings a bell in anybody's human mind.
You have to hear Adagio, Broken Vow, and You're Not From Here from the same concert.
Nice reaction - and it's nice when the youth discovers good music.
Beautiful reaction
Song named "Caruso" from Lara in the same live performance
Hi Maddy, Thanks for introducing me to Lara Fabian. She is an awesome performer with a beautiful voice. Check out some other songs like Broken Vow, Caruso, Pedere L'amore
She’s great
Lara didn't write this song but certainly looks and sounds like she feels it to her very soul. I recommend you check out Broken Vow, a song she co-wrote after experiencing a terrible betrayal. She performed it in the same concert as Je Suis Malade. It's heartbreaking.
Ty for this. One of the best singers, song writers of our time!
So true
"...and you can too!" I got shopping TV vibes from that 😂
😂😆
A sensitive reaction to Lara Fabian's renowned cover of Je Suis Malade. Thanks. She has a lovely voice to go with her famed interpretation skills.
Another excellent cover of this challenging song is Forestella's. You should see how a male South Korean male quartet interprets this song and brings some audience members (and some reactors) to tears. A brilliant crossover group, with harmonies to die for.
Super!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the reaction. You should try "Broken vow" from the same concert. It' amazing too
Love your channel Maddy. Lara is truly a fantastic vocalist and performer. It's too sad promoters in the USA overlooked her talent. Please check out Perdere L'Amore, Par Amour, Parqe Que Tu Pars, and You're Not From Here.
New subscriber! Loved your reaction. Next song from Lara should be Broken vow, she wrote it!

Dimash had a crush on her beginning at around age 12.

Regards

Those lyrics... damn...
Devastating.
That's OK Maddy, Lara is the only artist that doesn't need sub titles. Lol
🤗🤗🤗
Translating "Que tu t'en fous" as "That you don't care" is... not quite right. "That you don't give a fuck" is more accurate. This is one of the great live performances of my lifetime.
You're right, but unfortunately, if you put that in the subtitles, YT will block the video. 🥺

👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🇰🇿
Hi, she did not write the song, The song was composed by Serge Lama and Alice Done during the 80s.
It was in 1973 to be precise 😉

Recommendation: Ghost Love Score by Nightwish. The Wacken 2013 version is the best and it's on youtube. Floor Jansen will blow your mind.
