Fostering must be so hard. Getting attached but still putting what's best for cats everywhere (by fostering) is such a incredibly brave thing to do. So much love ❤️
Yes, I could never do it - I’d keep them all. I’ve adopted all of the cats who’ve shown up in my backyard over the years, and ones relatives couldn’t take care of anymore. The most I had was 8 at one time. I did try to drop off a particularly nasty cat at the local shelter years ago but they told me I had to call animal control first and I wasn’t about to do that, so I gave him another chance. It took a lot of work and patience, but now he is the most loving sweet cat ever. I even got him his own kitten last fall.
@@mjrussell414 Don´t believe what local shelters tell you. My neighbour adopted a cat from a shelter described as "nasty and complicated". The same evening at home, after checking the new home, being out of the cage, it turned out to be a loving lap cat, playful and cuddling ❤🐱
@@rheinerftvideo2647 I can't speak for all shelters but the one I volunteer at is very clear that "shelter personalities" can be very different from "home personalities". The shelter is not a nice place to live and causes most animals a lot of fear, anger, stress, and frustration. It's not that the shelters are bad but life in a cage is life in a cage and the animals have very little control over their lives there. Shelters are not a home no matter how much the staff and volunteers try to enrich the animals lives while they are there. We can only report on the behaviors we see and we only see the animals during a very stressful period of their lives. We wouldn't want to hide behaviors we've witnessed from a potential adopter only to have the animal surrendered back to us again after those behaviors occurs in the home.
Another week to enjoy Rusty. I'm so happy Tonka, Miles and Harvey found their furrever homes! They will bring such joy and happiness to their new families. As will Rusty in time.

And I thought the kittens alone made my heart melt. The fact they are being adopted and being able to have a care package with their favorite toy be packed with all of their belongings is so heart warming. My face is a wet from applying water to it, 😥😢😥😥 I just love these kittens.

Hopefully the people that adopted them are good to them. I often worry about animals and where they go afterwards and the sincerity of who gets them, these little guys are so cute.
Today is so bittersweet. I am so happy that my Miles and Tonka and Harvey were adopted. May they have the most Loving Furrever Homes. And, another week of Rusty…yay! As that tiny squeak in the car, it broke my heart to think that was a goodbye!! Poor little Rusty got to watch his siblings getting adopted, I can't take it!! If I didn't have 8 indoors only and 5 cats dumped by people in the subdivision, I would take Rusty!! I trapped a feral cat I called Lia to TNR! I had no idea she was pregnant! The trap went off at 3 AM & I heard a cat SCREAMING, so I ran out to bring it inside until it was time to go to the clinic. I put a towel over it so she would go to sleep. At 7 AM I got ready and picked up the trap. It felt light. As I moved the towel, the door was hanging. To this day I do not know how she moved it!! It was a Thursday. The clinics next feral day was the next Tuesday. I knew she was still in the house as my cats walked by & I would hear, "HISS," of Lia! She found the litter pan, the water, & the food. On Sunday, March 8, 2020, I was watching TV. I suddenly heard this tiny newborn kitten "mew!!" NOOO!! I saw my cats sitting together & looking at the Lazy boy chair. I lifted the skirting and heard Lia growl & try to swat me as she had a tiny gray tabby all cleaned and a light orange tabby who had just been born! I ran to get water for Lia & some food. I returned to see her pushing again. This one was a solid gray color, still in the sac, & butt first. I put Lia's food & water. After two more pushes, I watched as she got the kitten out, up to hit chin & then he went back in! After 2 more pushes and his head stuck, I ran to get clean towels. After the next try, I offered her water & she drank! He was still in the sac, so it wasn't dire. But it was a Sumday, the ER was 40 miles away!! Same thing with the next one. Lia was exausted. She laid on her side, didn't push, & I knew I had to try. I got a pair of brand new vinyl gloves, I said, "Lia, the next push, you are going to push & I will gently pull!! This baby is ¡in trouble!!!" As soon as the next contraction came I said, "Lia, this is it, now, PUSH!!". Lia growled! The sac broke open!! I said, " No growling, PUSH!! I am going to pull him gently! He is going to DIE & you could too!! Please don't bite me!" I got the towel around him & was able to get my fingers in along his neck!!" I heard & felt a POP & out came.Beau...AKA Buckethead!!! Then I heard Lia sneeze & out came a dark orange baby!! Lia was lying on her sidrv, I gave her Beau. I had cleaned him but let her takevcarevi!! In order of their birth: 1-Light gray tabby girl, short hair, Bella Rose!! 2-Light orange tabby boy, long hair, Hunter!! 3-Solid dark gray boy, short hair, Beau, AKA Buckethead!! 4-Dark orange tabby boy, long hair, Jordan!! By the time they were 5 w eeks, Lia quit hissing at my cats, but ran & hid from me!! I called shelters, and adoption places, unfortunately, March 2020, Covid!! No one was adopting out cats! At 10 weeks, all the boys were neutered & the girl was spayed!! I've tried veto trap Lia to no avail!! So it was either keep her inside with no one who could get her pregnant, or put her back outstrap unspayed!! She is slowly warming up! She no longer hisses at me, and has allowed me to do "pets!!" Can't trap her as she remembers that trap!! So now we are in love so too late on 4 of I am glad that Tonka, Miles, & Harvey got their forever homes!!

Four very handsome boys, but Rusty was the little orange fuzzball I immediately picked as my favourite when we first met them. Of course it's not a case of people not wanting him, it's just that his ideal match wasn't able to make it that day and will be there next time.

Much as I LOVE all kitties, I really wish owners would SPAY or NEUTER their pets so many little darlings like these would not end up unwanted and abandoned. Just breaks my heart this goes on all over the civilized(??)world, and with dogs too.

It takes a very special person to foster kitties. My problem is I wouldn’t be able to let any of them go I get attached very quickly. I love watching your videos they are so relaxing and entertaining at the same time. I really like to unwind at the end of the day with them. I have four outdoor kitties and I had one inside kitty Suzie who I rescued she was a very special kitty of 13 years that I lost in December of 2020. I miss her and think of her every single day.
Congratulations babies❣️I’m sure Rusty will have his new home very soon but I’m so glad we get to continue to watch him for a bit. I do hope the new owners stick with the food they are used to it’s a very good quality Food for cats and cats good quality food reduces medical bills down the road. Awww they are so cute, how old are they? We just adopted a 2 month old kitten last Saturday. She is a ball of energy I must say, quite different from the first cat we adopted 9 years ago. He was a little more shy and less energetic.
It's very sad to see them go, but with their leaving another group of babies who need help can get it. Not to mention they went to their forever homes so everybody wins
I have no idea how you do this. Raise the little babies just to give them away. But its good people like you are out there to keep these guys safe til they can find good homes.
Its like Rusty feels sad to be left alone 2:09. I wish them can be adopted as pair. But well, its better than cant be adopted at all. I wish him a good home soon with a good playmate 💖 (same with to the adopted one, hope they can be happy with good pawrents and good playmate)

Four very handsome boys, but Rusty was the little orange fuzzball I immediately picked as my favourite when we first met them.
Of course it's not a case of people not wanting him, it's just that his ideal match wasn't able to make it that day and will be there next time.
I'd be a horrible foster parent, I'd wind up with 100 cats. 😂

Every time I watched these guys my own cat Kedi would come running and watch the TV wondering who these kittens are.
I'd be the foster fail queen. I wouldn't be able to part with them. I'd miss seeing those little faces and hearing their squeaks and purrs.

Much as I LOVE all kitties, I really wish owners would SPAY or NEUTER their pets so many little darlings like these would not end up unwanted and abandoned. Just breaks my heart this goes on all over the civilized(??)world, and with dogs too.

It takes a very special person to foster kitties. My problem is I wouldn’t be able to let any of them go I get attached very quickly. I love watching your videos they are so relaxing and entertaining at the same time. I really like to unwind at the end of the day with them. I have four outdoor kitties and I had one inside kitty Suzie who I rescued she was a very special kitty of 13 years that I lost in December of 2020. I miss her and think of her every single day.

Awww they are so cute, how old are they? We just adopted a 2 month old kitten last Saturday. She is a ball of energy I must say, quite different from the first cat we adopted 9 years ago. He was a little more shy and less energetic.

I have no idea how you do this. Raise the little babies just to give them away. But its good people like you are out there to keep these guys safe til they can find good homes.
Isn't it better if families adopt them in pairs, assuming they don't have other cats yet. Alone kitten in a new house must be stressful.

Its like Rusty feels sad to be left alone 2:09. I wish them can be adopted as pair. But well, its better than cant be adopted at all. I wish him a good home soon with a good playmate 💖 (same with to the adopted one, hope they can be happy with good pawrents and good playmate)
The only thing that makes me sad, is that the kittens have been split up. 😢 but I'm happy they have new homes. ☺️
