u r not allowed to place the tray on the tables while guests are sitting, u have to serve right straight from ur hand or u can plave it on the side boards/stations 😊
What a useless video.. show us the whole dang thing. At this point I don’t even think you’re able to carry the tray and serve it without laying it on the customers table
only thing she is right is about that tall glasses or bottles goes in the midle, but her formation on the tray is so unbalanced and very hard for beginners becouse they dont have stability and right feel for tray, YOU need to make sure your tray is more overloaded on side more close to you then the guest so once you remove a highball glass (example) you wont lose balance and the tray wont flip over. And one more important thing, make sure your elbow angle is always 90degrees or you gonna fukc up your hand wrist sooner or later becouse the weight should be on your muscle not wrist. When i started to work in first day I used to carry 2 empty glass ashtrays for more weight on my side.

they ought to teach this in school. I was a server for the shortest period. ended up dropping a tray full of beer on a customer. I was mortified. Luckily, I knew the guy a little bit and he made a joke out of it, but I said to myself, I can't do this s--t
dude same thing happened to me working for a catering company, no training just had to carry trays with tons of drinks. Ended up spilling 3 pints on a random guy and have too scared to cater ever since
Dario Wirtha Yeah man I had to do this for the first time at college for work experience! I ended up spilling a full pint of carlsberg down a poor woman's white dress! Luckily she was already kinda drunk and gave me a hug at the end, much to my teachers displeasure haha! Hate these trays though, completely unneccessary!
Carrying a tray is harder than it looks. The glasses can easily tip over and spill on your customers. It’s a nightmare if you have to carry a whole tray full of drinks, just with one hand.

She didn’t even walk but I’m sure she would’ve dropped it. What a useless video.. show us the whole dang thing. At this point I don’t even think you’re able to carry the tray and serve it without laying it on the customers table
Im convinced this is witchcraft. how do you not tilt the tray ever so slightly and make stuff begin to spill and tip and ruin the balance. first day i broke stuff because it slid off my tray because the balance was shifted.
You just need to practice. When i just started going to the waiters school, i struggled carrying a tray with one empty glass on it. After i started working, after 2 months i could carry a tray full of drinks without spilling anything 😀. You just need to balance the glasses and bottles, and also balance with your fingers. Always put the heavier things closer to your hand, and be careful what to take off the tray first, so you don't mess up your balance.
Now tell us how to place it on the tables in front of customers. It really isn't that simple, that's the hardest part!
