Dina must be the only TH-camr that has mentioned the devastating fire at the grenfell towers.... Zoe n Alfie n so many other TH-camrs have such a huge following n they're only bothered abt the flipping house they bought
I understand your frustration, but realistically what help can TH-camrs give? Charities in Grenfell say they have been inundated with donations and are now having to turn people away, so no further help can be given in that regard. The widespread public outrage has been acknowledged and a full inquiry commissioned. The friends and family of victims need to be allowed to grieve and the inquiry needs to take place so that improvements can be made to prevent any future loss of life. I doubt people like Zoe and Alfie publicly acknowledging the situation is going to do anything much. They can probably help most now by keeping people's spirits up. And we don't know everything about them - in the past, they have made large charity donations following incidents, but haven't publicly disclosed this until months later, so we can't criticise them without knowing what they've done in private :)

Yeah subhanAllah I've been doing some deep thinking about the nature of time and its role on our life here on Earth. I find when I feel like I didn't make most of the last year, or a day or the month of Ramadan for an example. It's because I wasn't time bound enough. That for me means to not be idealistic, but rather whatever effort I can make towards my goals in a given moment (and of course Allah grants us the taufeeq to do so). Surah Asr is something so simple yet profound to reflect on throughout our lives. It's the shortest surah in the Quran yet it's so full of wisdom in regards to this thing we call "time". I find that to be so incredibly ironic. The scholars have said that if we were to take this one surah as advice it would be sufficient. The mere fact that it starts so powerfully with God swearing by time (a creation of Allah) that we humans (insan) are in a state of loss (khusr). *Except* those who *call* each other to truth (haq), and *call* each other to patience (sabr). This short surah is telling us that we are in a state of loss by DEFAULT. Which means we must be striving always to make an upward climb. Hence why people say the "hustle is real" or "we are in either growth or decay". Because we have this concept of aging (decay of health), forgetfullness (the nature of man/humans, from the root word insan that is used- means one who forgets), loss of time (closer to death/end of our stay on Earth), etc. This default force is acting against us so that naturally should lead us to ACT against it! Which is why God is saying *except* those who *call* each other to truth and *call* each other to patience. Calling is an action and a form of something incredibly vital (communication). Which leads to another form of decay (relationships). If we aren't talking, reminding one another, etc than we are giving into that state of decay that will hit us. Hence why it's important to be proactive otherwise we risk being reactive. May Allah SWT help us be time bound and more patient and be amongst those who call each other to truth. Ameen.
I'm still shaken about the tragic, so many questions need to be answered. so so sad and heartbreaking, right now what they need and what we can do is help as much as we can, donate,stick together, pray for the lost ones and the ones still in critical condition.. 🙏 "Hana show your feet" 😊

Buying the a6500 will only be a body only as Sony did not package it with a lens, you might be lucky however that's the only disadvantage is buying lenses for Sony cameras they're pricey.
