I am from Russia and I've been watching your videos for over 3-4 years now. I am not Muslim, and not a religious person at all now (I was brought up as Orthodox Christian though), but I deeply respect all religions and am very interested in learning more about different people's beliefs. You help me learn more about your religion, so I would like to thank you for good-quality content and also for breaking stereotypes and sharing your open-minded view on important issues.
This video was hilarious, I wish there was more types of sweets in the package so we could watch more of your reactions. We have lots of tasty food here, but I guess it's not suitable for sending to other countries as it can get stale very quickly.

Ok, Captain here. I will try to explain the snacks Sid and Dina having.
1. Marmelandiya- in russian we call it Marmalade, but it's like fruit paste, it's quite good!
2. Those were Oatmeal cookies with raisins
3. Zefir- it's not meringue, it's more like marshmallow. Very soft and not too sweet. Made of apple puree and egg Whites (normally you can choose flavors and Vanilla ones are so yummy).
4. Yep, those are Cranberries coated in sugar-So sour, but we like that 😂😂😂
5. last one isn't a Sponge Cake ! 😉😉it's called Pastila- again made of apple puree and egg whites, quite specific as taste. But when it's freshly made, it's nice.
To Sid: I think most of Russian snacks are made of fruits and don't have not a lot of artificial addings which is why you literally feel the whole flavour.

I love Zeffir and marmaladiya! I worked in St. Petersburg for a year and landlady would bring them for me every time she saw me. She didn’t speak much English but tried her best to accommodate for me and my poor Russian, bless her 😄.

1. Мармелад - Marmelade candy with agar-agar as the gelling agent.
2. Овсяное печенье класическое - Classic oatmeal cookies (they look like this in all post Soviet countries)
3. Яблочный зефир - Apple marshmallows (closer to marshmallows than merengue, but has egg whites in it too), probably also with agar-agar
4. Клюква в сахаре - Cranberries in sugar
5. Пастила с черникой - Pastila (this one is like marshmallow, but could be done without eggs) with blueberries. The one Oksana send you - Belev’s pastila - is produced since 1880-s.
And you were quite disrespectful towards Russians (and I’m saying that as a person from Ukraine, a country that is attacked by Russians all the time), I don’t think that other people will want to send you their national treats.

I’m subscribed to the channel of Emmy made in Japan, and she has series where she tries stuff from other countries that people send her. Even if she doesn’t like something she never behaves like that, and all the viewers love her for it.
