- Welcome to San Salvador, the capital and the most populous city of El Salvador!
Being the country's political and cultural center, it takes up one-third of El Salvador's population and one-half of the country's wealth. The majority of the country‘s corporations are located in the city and that being said, it is a very important financial hub of Central America. With its wide boulevards and narrow streets, roadside stalls, churches, museums, exciting nightlife, it can be described as a modern and hectic city.
All year round, the weather is hot, being around 27 °C, and the coolest period of about 22.2 °C lasts from November to February. Except for its weather, San Salvador is also praised for its perfect location. It has proximity to both the ocean and mountains.
We stayed at María José Suites which was in a really really nice location. It is close to the San Salvador Bicentennial Park and the nearest airport.
El Salvador has a reputation for being dangerous and you might be asking yourself "is El Salvador safe?" and I'm sure people have told you never to come here. Well, we felt safe the whole time we were there. We took Uber to get around and visited all the highlights in the downtown area of San Salvador.

Lol lots of Mexican people and Salvadoran people breed kids. Yet they claim they don't like each other but they do. My aunts alot of them have Mexican men. Here in the states alot of salvys and mexicans together.
I love girls. I'm from El Salvador. I saw a famous photographer in your video. He is Francisco Campos. He usually take pictures, the cotidianity in San Salvador. A big hug girls!
Francisco Campos is the photographer that took the picture of You at about 9:45 in front of the Theater. He is a veteran of our civil war, when he was at a relief organization that saved civilians and combatants from both sides. He was almost killed if not for the intervention of foreign correspondents. I was with him yesterday, handing out books and candies to the children of the street vendors (1st of October is children's day here). You also provided some facts through it, I learned something interesting :) What I was kind of disappointed is that your first experience with pupusas was at a random pupusa shop (pupuseria) in the street, you should go to Planes de Renderos and taste real pupusas, believe me they are the bomb. We really appreciate that you take the time to visit our country, and we are so pleased to have you here, and that you enjoy being in this beautiful place as we do, Now there is something that we all know, and it’s happening between people from Central America and the US, and that is Racism. Any of you look racist, I see you treat local people with the respect they deserve and that’s awesome ( if only all US Americans were like that).
What I do not like about this, and I’m so sorry for this but I have to say it. When an American person (gringo) comes here, we treat him or her very good, we try to be friendly because we want they to have a good perspective of our country, this country were gringos can come without any problem, but if one of us goes to the US, it’s the opposite, I have experienced that, once I went to the US for business purposes and a lady yelled at me, saying “Go back to your country”.
All of us are humans who deserve respect.
But please do not take it bad, it’s an awesome video and like I said we are glad to have you here.
