For those who are struggling to get the duper started (by breaking the string and flipping the lever) i found that it was easier to just break the string with the shears and then as fast as possible, flip the lever.
@@WaffleSP_7 Try facing south when you build the farm, that might help? Try varying your timing to find the timing that works best for you and your home internet speeds. Depending on the lag or lack of lag, you need to flick the lever at different times, so just experiment and find what works for you. I hope that you can get it to work for you :)
It works and it's crazy that you can just resume it with the flip of the same switch. I can see this quickly lagging the entire server with the number of entities it can create. Better set up a destroy mechanism for overflow before even considering afking, not that you would really need to afk for this.
For anyone wondering why the water is destroying the string, Lord Vikron forgot to mention that you NEED to be facing North or West before building the farm.
On my version, you need to face north or west before building it for it to work, and i had no idea until i watched a different video, so it wasted a lot of time for me.@@LordVikron42

I found the problem , you must have the duper facing south. Ive built mine facing north and it wouldnt work. I rebuild it but facing south and it worked right away. Works like a charm👍

Go to the way that water logging works if you put the water in the same block as the trap door it's just gonna flow outward anywhere and you cannot place the string thus of not allowing you to duplicate it

Bro, this is a nice idea. Itried this in a creatve world of version 1.16.5 it worked in the fifth or sixth try. I was really surprised. I gave it a try in my survival world of the same version it was working at first then I turned off the duper and again I turned it on but it was not working. try both buttons on your mouse, and then just keep trying. The shear should not break the string. It might look like it was broken, but that might be the tripwire activating as it should. Just keep on trying, because it is very OP!

When I used mods and sheared the string it broke the string(this isn’t supposed to happen) if you load it in vanilla Minecraft break the string it (disarms it) instead of dropping it so make it in vanilla then reload your mods and all you have to do is flip the switch on and off
try doing two things: First try to flick the lever as soon as you can after the shears. Try that a couple times. If that is not working for you, just shear the string and don't flick the lever, and wait until you hear the second flicking noise, the noise I talked about in my video. Then, try to match your next lever click to that timing. Hope that this helps :)

I have a video on the 5 best villager trades, look there, but also maybe you could use an iron farm and trade that or stone from a silk touch pick to a zombified stonemason, so then you mine 1 cobble for 1 emerald!!!
Maybe you're testing on a non vanilla server like paper servers It won't work Try switching the block the lever is on to the other side It worked for me 😀
It does still work on 1.20.4, it just takes a while to get It for the first time. The biggest tip I can give is vary your timing a lot: try flicking the lever immediately after shearing it, and If that doesn't work try waiting a full 5 seconds! Just fiddle around until you find a way that makes it work for you. Good luck! :D

For anyone wondering why the water is destroying the string, Lord Vikron forgot to mention that you NEED to be facing North or West before building the farm.
I don't think that you need to, because I have made the farm facing almost every direction and it has worked.
On my version, you need to face north or west before building it for it to work, and i had no idea until i watched a different video, so it wasted a lot of time for me.@@LordVikron42

Yes, if your world or server is laggy, then the timing will be different, so try varying up your timing either really quickly or really slowly.
