Just getting into nitro trucks, thanks for the most informative , simple , personal videos on starting, breaking in, tuning . Looked for videos that made things easy to understand and nobody breaks things down so good . Thanks again for your help.

Hello, do you remember the "default settings" for idle needle and that one between block and carburetor? I cant get my GXR18 stay idle.

That's more simple than I thought even I can do that I've got a savage x it needs a motor I'm going to put an ofna force .26 on it and it needs a new radio thanks to Duracell batteries word of advice never use Duracell batteries because they corrode overnight they ruined my new radio so now I need a new one but I do plan on getting a a radio that I can get a neutral setting for the transmission because I've got a reverse module in it witch radio do you recommend
The FS GT2 is a good cheap radio, if you want to spend a bit more then the Absima CR3P is a good budget radio

JT thanks for all your videos. You have helped me out on several occasions in the past so cheers for the help. My question is have you any experience with the Orion wasp 28. ? I recently received one as a add on to a purchase I made off eBay. It has a dark blue almost black crank case and a silver head with turbo plug. It has a 4 needle carb high, low,mid,and idle great compression. I've heard good and bad things about the engine I can't find any information online about tuning the carb. I took it to local hobby shop and they had problems tuning it? We got it running but when it sits for a minute or two you here it sounding like it's over loading with fule then stalls. I'm running 25% the original owner said he never had a problem? There are no air leaks new plug new fuel. I never had a crab with a mid range needle so I'm kinda at a loss . And if the so called professional at the hobby shop couldn't figure it out what can I do ??? . if the piston was removed and put back in backwards could that be causing the overloading issues??? . thanks for all the advice you give . sincerely Edmund Brunning.
I have the same set up but when mines up to temp it keeps cutting out. Any ideas?
Maybe lean out the LSN more cause there is much smoke when reving up. Would this be good or bad?

@@nitro-rc6241 thank you. We are having a problem with the car in that it keeps burning out plugs. Even had it set up at a local shop ran it for a couple of minutes then plug was knackered again. Any advice greatfully received. Cheers .
Andrew Harper it may be because it is way to lean. If you look at the inside of the glow plug. Is it burnt or pushed in or not straight, it could mean it is too lean or has high compression. If it is a new engine, break it in properly and take your time. When an engine arrives new with the car. It will have high compression because of the sleeve is tapered. Once you break it in the engine will loosen up. Check out this guys break in videos and his tuning. It may also be too rich: if the inside of the glow plug is wet, then lean it a little.

if gas is spitting out of exhaust at idle right after starting and even more when giving gas. is that the lsn adjustment?
Some Nitro fuel will do this anyway. Optifuel is very oily and so often on a lean setting would still spit fuel. Take note of the amount of smoke and the engine performance rather than the amount of Oil spitting out of the exhaust

JT12 on my channel Theres a vid on the twitching on the car plz tell me why it does that
If it were me, swap the two channels over on the reciever and see if the steering servo twitches when connected to the throttle channel. If so then I'd suspect a receiver issue. If not, then replace the servo

Could be that the batteries need charging in the receiver? : )

JT, what did you think of the ftx carnage, did you keep it for long & what's the bash / repair ratio been like ??
I had it for a fair amount of time. It did take a hell of a beating, but I did have to repair it also. But that's to be expected from a £170 truck. I liked it. Loads of power and lightweight too!

Please help I got a brand new redcat rampage Mt v3 about 5 days ago once the engine is running I have it up on a stand and it seems like I have to give it half the throttle or squeeze trigger in order for the tires to start moving what could be wrong?
I didn't touch the needle settings after I got it had to increase the idle a little.
Is it just a matter of adjust either the high end needle or low end needle? Shouldn't the vehicle at least start to move a little with a gentle squeeze of the transmitter trigger?
Its says when starting to increase the throttle trim until the tires start to move but something else seems off.
But something else must be off and tips?
Hi there, am I correct in saying that the rampage is petrol and not nitro? Those engines are usually pre tuned and do not require any adjustments. With the car being that new I would advise getting in touch with redcat for advice, you don't want to adjust anything that will void the warranty
@@TheRCBiker Supposed to be factory set but a guy at redcat racing said maybe the low end needle is a little to rich depending on the location and temps. I have no clue they aren't much help brand new out of the box crazy.
Hopefully its it's nothing with the clutch bell.

JT12's R/C Videos I very new to this. I purchased a hyper 7 which failed. I ok it back to the shop and because they didn't have another hyper 7 they offered me this instead. It was more expensive. Just wasn't sure about it and wanted your view on it as you seem to know a lot.

Im having problems with my nitro car. When I start it up it runs with the glow starter in it but when I take it out it still works but I move the car it stalls so what do I do?
Sounds like it could be running rich. But if you let the engine idle for a while then sometimes the engine will cut out when you accelerate anyway due to a build up of excess fuel. Try revving the engine with the igniter in to clear the excess fuel first.
If still happening you could turn the small needle on carb (Opposite from the linkage) and turn it in till it does not do it. You should let the engine heat up first
Don't worry now the thing was that the batteries were flat so I changed the batteries and now its fine.

The batteries where changed a few days ago but it still twitches
Could be a dodgy servo then , Try swapping the channels over (throttle and steering servo wires) and see if the other servo behaves the same.
When I start my rc car the wheels won't stop moving! how could I fix this?
Sounds like the idle speed is too high. Search my channel for Idle speed videos.
You could also turn the idle needle out a little. The needle on the opposite of the one on a link to a servo. You will find it on your carb
Hi all i have put a nice tune in my kiosho mp9 but the car keep to overheat I have Donne the pinche test 3 secs hsp in like in this video just a little rich . I have change the glow plug and remove the shel but no changes . Can anyone help me please ( my engine is a picco boost p3tz
What fuel and plug setup are you using?

Hmmm. Is the break in finished? Engines do run hotter when new because the internal parts are tight.
