  • This is the January wrap up - slightly smaller than normal, as I left out what I did on the channel.
I mention some awesome books as I had such a good reading month.
    I also mention these people:
    ‪@BookBlather‬
    ‪@BookChatWithPat8668‬
    ‪@MIDDLEoftheBookMARCH‬
    ‪@AliceandtheGiantBookshelf‬
I also talk about my Bi-Monthly Belief and Behaviour Book Club - which started in January and runs through the year.
    As always, thanks for watching!

What a great variety of books! That cover in the thumbnail had me chuckling.
I actually like a lot of the classic pinup looks but on covers (not connected to the pinup history) is a bit suspish 😂

I love More Than Human, didn't know it was a fix up. I've never read anything else by him.

The gal in the thumbnail looks like she got lost on the way to a Whitesnake video audition and somehow ended up on a book cover, but great wrap-up all the same! I definitely want to give Ice a try. And I was looking forward to God: An Anatomy, but History of the Devil sounds interesting as well. Have a nice weekend!

thanks Brian I know what you mean about the model on the cover haha - yeah I haven't ruled out reading God An Anatomy but I think need to do that one outside a book event....but I'll let you know if I start it!

I bought 'Invisible Man' the other day based on Kim's and your videos, it'll be a while before I get round to it but that's okay. 'Batman Year One' interests me not so much as the book itself but more simply the whole Graphic Novel phenomenon. I've never read one so I tend to think of them as kid's comic books which I'm sure is wrong and I'm sure there's much more to them. Can you, or another subscriber, suggest a good 'un for a beginner? I'm 68 and would like to dip a toe in the water.
Finally, you showed us your biscuit book which looks fab and you mentioned that it will fit into the Historathon (sp?) theme. I'm currently listening to SPQR which, so far, is a wonderful introduction to ancient Rome. I've looked around for something similar covering ancient Greece. 'Creators, Conquerors, and Citizens: A History of Ancient Greece' by Robin Waterfield looks good but, once again, do you or any other subscriber have any other recommendations?
    Cheers👍🏼
