Love your stuff man. I really like the experience you have and that you keep your stuff so clean. I try to do the same. I’m also imparting it on my son. If nothing else he’s paying attention to what needs looked at, adjusting or fixing while we’re riding and addressing those things as we clean bikes afterwards. Last weekend we weren’t ready to go and had to miss riding Friday and only got Saturday and Sunday. He pointed out if we’d had our bikes sitting 100% we could have just left. I pointed out that he’s absolutely right, but I’m pushing 50 years old and I’d have tired out by Sunday anyway lol. Thanks for the content!
Jeff, as always your videos are amazing. This may be an unfair question but what changes would you make to your set up if you were riding mainly technical desert. I understand may be a bigger front tire etc. but is there anything else you would change? Appreciate it, sir!
Hello I would need to ride your trails to accurately answer your question but I’m guessing i wouldn’t change anything except possibly the front tire if there is a lot of sand.
Hi Jeff. I’m trying I decide between the RadiusCX and RadiusX. In this video you mentioned you run the RadiusX. What’s your reasoning behind that? Because that sure would save me a lot of money if I can just go with the RadiusX. Just wanted to hear your 2 cents on why. Thanks!
Hello: I currently use the maps that come with the TSP ERM slavensracing.com/shop/ecu-reflash-module-erm-by-two-stroke-performance/. I also have 2 alternate maps that I'm testing and modifying but I can't say they are better, just different. The TSP maps are excellent and work well with the high comp head that I only use at high elevations, above 7000'. If you ride at lower elevations, the TSP medium insert is recommended.
@@slaverace1 Ok. Slightly different question. Do you think the optional OEM map switch is worth it? Does it make that much of a difference? Similar to you, I live on the front range. I ride mostly west, 7,000’ or higher, mostly dry/damp decomposed granite, rocks and roots. I can’t imagine wanting anything other than the default “aggressive” setting.
Hi Jeff, can you do a comparison video on the fuel and oil delivery compared to the XC? Just worried that if I get the xc-w, that the motor doesn't get enough oil when riding high speed desert conditions.
It is stock for now. I'm being rebellious because I totally disagree with spark arrestors. The motorcycle community gets unfair scrutiny from the feds and I'm fed up with their BS. We have to purchase offroad riding permits (in Colorado and many western states) ($25) yet hikers, mtn. bikers, Jeepers, equestrians do not. I pay that fee every year because those funds actually do go towards trail repairs, etc. but just show me one proven example of any dirt bike causing a forest fire from the exhaust. There are none to my knowledge. It's total BS!
Hello: No, that's a standard height. I use it on tight trails and use a tall seat for pussy rides. I'm 6'3". You probably need a tall seat for all applications. Seat Concepts are the bomb! I prefer the Comfort model >>> slavensracing.com/shop/complete-comfort-seat-for-ktm-by-seat-concepts/ .
I called Chase at Letko Cycles per your recommendation and was able to put a deposit on one. Way better pricing than any of the Colorado dealers I spoke to so I am driving out there to get it. My buddy may be getting the standard version from them as well :) Thanks for the tip!
I see you added a Combination (Map) Switch, can you confirm the switch actually changes the performance and what part number that switch is? Im guessing its A44039074000
Thanks for the response. I owned a 250xc for a few years and am now on a 200rr. The 250 was a bit fast for me honestly. Would like a new TE bike but can’t seem to pin down which bike would fit me better (250 or 300).
@@slaverace1any opinion on the ox-brake? I’m leaning more towards that one because I hear with the rekluse you have to bleed it as the pad wears down and because the ox-brake is its own system there’s no maintenance. Is that a thing or is that all bs? Thanks!
@@xerophinity Hello: I prefer the Rekluse because it has better stopping power. No, it does not need re-bled as the pads wear down, however I never let my pads wear beyond half way.
Awesome shout out to LETKO Cycles. Gary, Chance and the guys over there are awesome. Can't say enough good things about them. Great video, Jeff.
Yes they are
Love this set up Jeff! I bought a 24 300xcw last fall, I’m gonna stop by your shop over the next couple weeks and pick up some of these mods 👍🏼
Sounds great!

I love having my rear brake on the bars.
After experiencing the all the benefits, it makes you think why don't the come like this from factory?

Is there a fix yet for the fuel pump pickup not reaching to the bottom of the tank?
Hello:
It's difficult to fix something that is not broken. The fuel pickup is not a problem when the bike is used as the designers intended.
I kinda like that left hand rear brake idea. For some spots
It works great for all trail riding.
Great video, great parts and service!! Thanks Jeff
Our pleasure!
Beautiful build. You guys rock
Thank you.
Gotta love the mako 360. How do you run the US Forest volunteer sticker with NO spark arrestor on your bike?
It has an SA now.
I had no doubt. Best channel out there. Just picked up a Hard Enduro, I'll be ordering a 2.1 form you soon.@@slaverace1

Hello Xero:
The Rekluse X is way more clutch than I need and CX would be overkill.
Did you change/remap the ECU with the high compression head? If so, is it necessary?

I have the switch and never use it. Always run the green map. You can also switch maps with the ERM.
For the seat, is it a Comfort? Comfort Tall? Comfort XL? Thanks.
Tall Comfort Seat.
Hi. Any oil leaks ,sweating or issues what's so ever on this bike?
Definitely not.
beautiful
Thank you! 😊

Add 1% in your tank 👍👍
Hi Jeff, I notice no damper on this bike. How are you getting along with it without one?
The suspension is so good I no longer need or want a damper.
@@slaverace1 That really says something about how good the new bike and suspension is setup.
Love the graphics but didn't see them on the Slavens site. Where did you say you got them? Thanks!
FAF Graphics out of Pueblo, CO made these. We will have SR graphics available on our website soon.
Just curious about your spark arrestor choice ? Silencer looked stock in the video.

Why didn,t you mention amything about the mako 360 bar mount
Forgot.
How does the fuel economy compare to the TPI motor?
I have not done an accurate comparison or test but it seems similar to the TPi.

Yes it does. That # is correct.
is there any difference between 2023 and 2024 ktm exc i mean Xtrig ???
Sorry, Xtrig does not yet offer an adjuster for the `24 PDS shock. They are always late to the party and slow to deliver, so we do not have an ETA.
i have the full kit from my old ktm exc 2023 bike and was wondering if it would fit the ktm ktm exc 2024
Looking to get this as my next bike!
You will not regret it. Do it!
Do you have any experience with the new 250 xcw tbi? Curious if it’s a lower powered 300 or a different ride all together (snappier and all that)

Do you have a straight rate or progressive rear spring?
Progressive.
Damn helicopter! 😂

Been Killing my bike for months, 42 hours. Something in my stock forks let go. 24 xcw 300 tbi 😂😂😂 bike is amazing tho
Do you like the bike?
Hello:
I've answered that question several times in videos and in this video.
Sarcasm!!!! Just kidding
Why does ktm tbi run so sputtery down low? It's annoying.
Mine does not sputter. Have your dealer upload the latest mapping.
@@slaverace1 I'll do that. It's been about a year since the last update maybe something changed.
Have to pull the tank to put oil in. Thats bullshit! Otherwise badass build.
Like he said, they don’t make a tank yet for the XCW, so that tank came off a different bike.
It's not the right tank, he said that. Regardless, what's the big deal pulling the tank? It takes a full 3 minutes.
