I tried it today with lil modifications. I added half tsp vanilla essence and 1 spn custard powder and lots of nuts. It really came out well. Half is finished already. My daughter loved it

I am a Physician and also has an interest for cooking myself. I prefer pure ingredients and avoid process material. Soji is better than Menda(whole purpose flour) so as jaggery better than sugar. I also prefer pure ghee than oil.
Any comments on that?
Wish you could add list of all ingredients with quantity specified as well as the heating instructions as we have an electric stove.

V nice recipe ! Since I am vegan I was wondering what to replace dahi with ? Milk can be replaced with almond/cashew milk , milk pdr not needed , but dahi is always a problem
Dahi is not necessary......u can replace with fresh Malai or milk ......if u used milk Than add vinegar also

Suji is wheat only. It may have more fiber. It comes from durum wheat. Which is wheat. I think so

Actually suji also has maida components in it.
Gargi ji, Maida is worst part of wheat but suji is made from whole wheat,in short suji is considered to be better .
BTW wheat it self is not good human body like rice. If U are really diet conscious then avoid rice and wheat completely, then see the result.
I can bet my bottom dollar that U will transform your body significantly.

Many-2 thanks for the wonderful ideas to make cakes at home without oven but please let me know that when we are making cakes in a tava there isn't any space for air to come out like the pressure cooker although we are getting the same taste and texture of the cakes.
