  • I found this small tractor on Marketplace and thought I might be able to make it do everything!!.. cut grass, push snow, roto-till.

Well, we took possession of a B5100 with the purchase of our new/older home. Just replaced the battery, levelled off the oils and coolant and got it running last night - awesome ride around the yard! Have a blade and mower deck in the yard - will have to clean and lube these up to see what condition they are in. The plug you were wondering about - is a port for an additional hydraulics line - mine have a valve and line hooked up to it. My hydraulics were not working last night so have to look that over yet. I'll subscribe and would be great to see any other work you do on this tractor! Best regards,

I have the b5100d that hydraulic plug I'd a point you can add a selector to send fluid to another front implement. Mine connects to my front snow blade.

I know this is an old video, but I just picked one of these tractors up and I'm trying to figure out how much weight the rear 3 point hitch can handle. Any ideas how much your tiller weighs? I know it's "rated" at 300lbs but it's basically impossible to find something that weight these days.

Sorry, I don't. But I cant imagine it weights more than 300lbs. Probably closer to 200lbs

The bolt you are pointing to at 8:00. Is a hydraulic port. Kubota made a trencher that used that port to provide pressure to lift the trencher arm. The hydraulic system uses 80w90 gear oil and the transmission is a common reservoir system. The the full plug is in the same shot. About a 1 in round plug beside the gear shift lever. The dipstick to check the level should be on the opposite side of the gear lever. On the right side of the tractor if sitting in the seat, there are 2 hydraulic lines that run from the pump to the transmission. The lower of the two lines on the side of the transmission has a filter screen made into the bolt that attaches the line. That bolt might still have red paint on it. There are also 3 drain plugs under the transmission as well They should be painted red

Thanks Steve, I just recorded a "Fluid Change" video yesterday so I'll be going in to much greater detail on this stuff. Hope to have something together for upload in a week or so.

Can you use that to add hydraulic line to like a front attachment? I have an ‘83 b51oo and it came with a kubota blade but the guy I bought it from never used it

@@tomashbaugh8891 the kubota front blade on these tractors used a pump powered off of the front engine like the ones equipped with a loader. The port under the seat might be modified to work a front blade but it wouldn’t give you any down pressure. It was used for the trencher and the weight of the trencher pulled itself down.
