The compact Galaxy A3 (2016) sports a 4.7" HD display (up from a 4.5" one), and runs on a quad-core SoC under the hood, clocked at 1.5 GHz, and paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. The camera is now 13 MP camera, compared to 8 MP in the first A3, while the 5MP snapper at the front stays the same. The battery pack has been given a boost here as well, though, to 2300 mAh from 1900 mAh.

+Matthias Tuytschaever Yea I've had iPhone for quite some time now and it's great but switching to Samsung was the right thing for me I like that on Samsung you are more free with how you wan't it to look on your home screen and the fact that you can have gadgets like a watch and wether thing.
Ofc there are good things and bad thing wth both Samsung and Apple but at this time I haven't found anything negative with my new Samsung.

my Samsung Galaxy A3 2015 is a 5.0.2 Lollipop which I downloaded and installed the latest S7 Theme, so now my device looks like it's a 2016 A3 but it's really a 2015 A3.

I use the A3 2015 and really wanted to upgrade to 2016, bit after seeing the review, not much difference
+sky works The differences are the screen resolution, the battery and the back camera. Edit: The 2016 has Android Lollipop while the older one has Kitkat
+Fish The First old one got kitkat 4.4.3 and they were able to update to 5.0.1/2
you can update marshmallow in a3 too and that works nice that makes a3 better and faster than lolipop

A3 2015 is indestructable. I dropped it into cereal milk on accident, dropped it on hard tiles from like 2 meters, both without a case or screen protector and it was without a scratch.

Cem Yanik no its awesome the camera quality is great and to be truly honest I was an iPhone supporter but now I'm a Samsung supporter cause to me Samsung's way better than the iPhone cause its faster and the quality is solo good you should get Samsung if you're thinking of getting a phone :) this is juste my advice and my advice on my Samsung a3 2016 gold phone and I've gotta say I LOVE IT

In my country the old A3 has 1GB RAM and the new A3 2016 has 1,5 GB. You say they both had 1,5 GB. Do you made a mistake?

Not sure if i'm late but i would buy A3 -16 because the design is a lot better.
+JuicyCOD And now that i looked, 5.5 inch screen on J7 is too big imo. 4.8"-5.2" is best. A3 -16 is a lot lighter also and a bit thinner. PPI is decent, J7's PPI isn't nearly as good.
by the way if your on the internet it doesnt matter how good your phone is it debents on your internet and the timeout
