Brad Makes Brussels Sprout Kimchi | It's Alive | Bon Appétit
This is BY FAR, the most amped Brad has ever been.
He's like a puppy locked into a too small room
The full rant on Napoleon Dynamite was great.
AccAkut1987 he has finally fully lost his mind.
Poor Brad needs to get out of the house. BA should send him a sanitized car to drive him to fermentation station to check it out.
Amped up Brad is the perfect example of my chaotic inner dialogue.
I can't believe how every episode is better than the one before*
*this is true no matter the order in which you watch
i agree
So true!! 😆
The best episode is the one you’re watching at the time!
This is the kind of optimism we need in this world
The accumulation of excitement
The editing on this episode is just...*chef’s kiss*
The air horn chili oil had me cackling.
Completely agree! In Italian, we say “al bacio” = to the kiss. It means to perfection.

The Garla edit...
yes!!!!!
To appease Garla
I want to know Carla's opinion of her evil twin sister Garla.
She retweeted someone’s drawing of Garla and said she peaked and her sons are v supportive of their mum having become a meme 😂😂😂 so i guess she’s enjoying Garla’s presence
@@moiclarence that is great!!
GARLA GARLA GARLA GARLA GARLA
Can someone explain to me how this became a thing? I don’t remember the episode where it first started
@@deknutz I'm not 100% sure (and I don't remember which episode), but I kind of remember Brad was trying to say "Garlic" but it came out "Garla" and Hunzi put up the iconic red-eyed image.
We all laugh so hard at Hunzi's edits, but omg how much effort is he putting into the actual decoding of Brad's almost words, hats off ♥
Brad: "fermentation is a fun thing to do with your kids!"
*Kid walks in*
Brad: "GET OUT GRIFF!!"
No he was talking about literally fermenting his kids.
@@majesticbeard4811 - When you think of it, aren't all relationships fermented?
BTW, whether true or ironic, you have a great handle there.
Cracking up so hard. Scripted comedies aren’t this good. He’s raw talent
Like EPOXY!!
his mind is everywhere and nowhere
Calm your panties, Joanna!
So true. Just let him babble his wisdom away!
I have to disagree. He's fermented talent...
Hunzi’s “it’s fine” is me everyday for the last two months in quarantine.
I can relate too much
I want to like this but its currently sitting at 888 likes so I don’t wanna ruin it 👍🏽
Cat Cat I just got it to 999
Brad: lectures us on how we need a kitchen scale because it’s precise and inexpensive.
Also Brad: uses “glug” as a unit of measurement.
Brad singing the 'cleanup' song that EVERY PARENT KNOWS BY HEART is very endearing. LOL
It was really cool how he started his rant about how everyone needs a scale, then caught himself and toned it down because he probably remembered mid-sentence that there are people who are really struggling financially right now.
Absolutely correct. I think it shows a level of self-awareness a lot of celebrities and online personalities completely lack while they flaunt their mansion quarantines to people who are struggling to get by. Brad even did the same for produce where he said to buy better produce if it "within your means". Class act.
I really appreciated that he said that. He sobered up instantly and sounded like he truly meant it. He seems like a genuinely great person.
The increasing shots of the ever-fermenting egg yolks hanging around in the Fermentation Station, along with the hits of horror music just killed me. The editors deserve to be making So Much Money
I probably can't be the first to say this, but as I mentioned in another post, Ferm-ageddon....
"...they're not a lot of money. No I'm sorry I don't mean that if you can't get yourself one it's fine"
god Brad you're so wholesome
i love how brad’s ideal perfect virtual reality world is just him climbing Mount Everest barefoot
* Brad returns to the test kitchen *
Mutated fermented egg yolk creature that's become sentient: ......Daddy?

that's funny, I'd call him daddy too if he wanted
Does the sentient egg look like brad? I need to know
Omgoodness i would watch that sitcom! The edit would be incredible 🤣🤣
@@monicamoon9785 I love that vine reference
2 full minutes of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and I regret NONE of it. The drama!
I want an episode in just fermentation fails. Things he's tried and went horribly wrong, or moldy, or just went gross or some ish. We see the success but this a great time to talk about fails.
Look up the ginger beer episode. Or the sourdough donuts episode. He's has failures before.
@@satinsleeves i know he's had episode where he fails. But a whole episode on all of his fails, what he did wrong, and what he would do to prevent it
just an entire episode based on the egg yolks he refuses to acknowledge.
Did you see the very end of this episode? There's one there.
As long as he still tastes it hahaahah joke. Be safe people

I like to imagine that Brad used to be a Lost Boy on Neverland and doesn’t remember cause he’s a grown up now...but all he knows is he has a deep love for pans.
Hahaha. I totally see that. 😜 I ❤️ Brad and all the BA chefs.
Tip my hat to you for that one sir... that was good.
"To appease Garla"
I don't think an edit has ever made me laugh so hard.
I hope once Brad's contract with BA is done that he goes off and makes his own show. He deserves his own show and I would love to support it.
Bon Appetit can we PLEASE get some Garla merch. I want her on everything.

Yea, I'm going to need more motivation than that to take a shower. 🚿🍺
Kind of ridiculous but it made me cry bc I broke up with my boyfriend today
I need a video of that just to listen to it all day

Do you guys ever get kinda teary because you’re so happy someone exists? I’m really almost crying because Brad makes me feel better about the world. I’m having a weird day.
Yup, I get it ahah 😅
I love the complexity of human emotion. Keep being weird, I feel you!
I get it too! sometimes it's because I'm all hormony and it's so beautiful and heartwarming and I just... can't deal
that fermentation station egg yolk edit was one of the funniest hunzi edits i’ve seen
Suggestions for videos during corona time: Bring back Brad cooking the the forest with the campfire!! Love those episodes!!
I literally didn't pay attention to a single culinary aspect of this video, but it has some of my favorite Brad-isms all time. I just had it on in the background and it cheered me up.
The editing is pure magic, like Miyazaki meets Hisaishi.
All the editing for these quarantine episodes has been so funny!! I laugh every time.
you could say the editing... spirited me away ;)
Hunzi is a genius and we are blessed to have him
I've always said it is the cooking versions of UNHhhh
The editing has been off the rails and i'm loving it!
Once this quarantine ends, y'all need to do It's Alive Travel edition and send Brad to Korea and have him go exploring the south where there are whole fields of clay pots filled with various types kimchi, pickled (and fermented) veggies and sauces. I'm suggesting Korea because that's the food culture I know but, but he could probably do it in lots of other locales, too. (Thailand and Vietnam?)
I'm also interested in seeing the harrowing journey of Brad at the artisan asian fish saucery.
Most cultures have fermented foods of some sort. I think Brad could do world tour, visiting each and every country there (well I wouldn't send him Syria or Libya and couple of other countries for obvious reaons) and explore their traditional fermented foods. I'd love to see that, but I acknowledge it's probably too expensive and time consuming to ever become a reality.
@@MrAranton At the very least, I think he could do a decent tour of Europe. The Lea and Perrins factory in England springs to mind, and he's yet to cover the infamous Swedish surströmming...
YES. Brad makes fish sauce. With XO sauce as an intermediate step.
My grandmother made her own Sauerkraut, pickles, salsa, hot sauce, kimchi, jam, jelly , grape juice, preserves, picked peaches, marinated vegetables, ice cream , butter, buttermilk, clabber milk, sour cream, cottage cheese, ricotta, cream cheese, canned all the fruit and vegetables in her garden. Homemade ketchup , picked peppers, bread, and so much more. And she was an American. You don't have to travel overseas to find others who has the skills
Hunzi really outdid himself with the editing on this one.
The sparks coming out of brads head nearly killed me
He was probably stoned lol
I love it
gonna miss him, though. didn't he get fired?
twinkletoes black he got suspended tbh it just wont be the same without him if he gets fired
When this is all over, hopefully this fall, Brad needs to go to Korea for a kimchi special.
He'd love how grandma's make kimchi and how they measure xD they use their hands and just say obscure quantities but it always works for them. It's a marvel.
Ahh that "hopefully this fall" really took me back in time. Catching up on this show has gotten weird now that covid as hit chronologically
I love the "How Will the Fly Die?" Minigame included with this show.
lmao minigame 😂
Animal crossing and BA are the only thing getting me through quarantine, can’t believe they were finally able to combine the two, my life is complete.
“Endgame is the most ambitious crossover”
sad that Hunzi did not include Little Women on the Brad’s Cinema Masterpiece list
well, that's more a thing for historical costuming youtube, though it's sad that Bernadette Banner STILL hasn't seen it.
