I moved my mooring from Christchurch to Hamble because Hamble is cheaper an closer to my home. Yes it's a busy place but I'm surprised by how friendly and welcoming it is considering the reputation it has elsewhere for being busy and expensive. I have been on the Hamble 2 years now and it's spot on!
Wow! I learned to sail on the Hamble in the '60s and found it almost unrecognisable in this video. We kept a boat at Fairey Marine, on the Point and explored around the Solent, the Isle of Wight and across the Channel. Fond memories.
If you are lucky ... but my guess is that your government will collapse, the Queen will be exiled to the Falklands and the Great British Republic will be governed by Brussels.

I know it well, my father was born and reared in Saresbury Green before he settled in Ireland in the 50's.

An awful place, overcrowded and over priced.
It used to be overpriced. However I moved my mooring from Mudeford to Hamble because it's cheaper on the Hamble now!
You can't take a crap without hitting another boat...can't imagine how that's a mecca.
