    Now I know why you use GtI pro lite, yesterday I've got some work with it, it's amazing. Thanks for your professional opinion 😉

    Sheriwin Williams makes a pretty nice primer P30 comes in 6 different colors. Flows nice and builds good. Looks like clear when done right. Really nice for finding small dents or wavy panels.

  • @КапитанСхарджбриджибаджибаев

    I always wondering then you using rather cheap flg5 gun and getting great results. That thing inspired me😋 I should get one for my workspace.

    I'm going to show my age now, when I last used glasurit paint there was a great big parrot on the can. Love the flg5 too I bought two on your recommendation a 1.4 for wet on wet and a 1.8 for high build. Still loving your work Gunny.

    I bought two flg-5 guns because you said they are good and I like Devilbiss...but how does it compare to the older Anest Iwata w-400? I'm in the Us and not really used to these guns trying something new. Been using the flg-4-670 for a couple years on small projects around the house. I've got a GTI Pro Lite because you said it's your favorite for clear but I don't got good technique and It's run city in my hands...the only gun I can get alright results with is my old Sata 4000 and it blows through clear and so much over spray everytime it kills me...I guess ill always be a cut and buff guy...but I still really love watch a real painter do it at there best. please keep uploading new videos they are really informative.

    Awesome shit as always! Watching your vids always makes me miss being in the booth daily. I still do odd stuff here and there out of my own shop, but I'm getting sick of the quick cheap cash work. Nothing like pumping out clean collision work on a daily basis.

    Good video. I always learn something. I been researching the flg 5 a bit lately. Seems like it would be a good starter gun. I got nothing. A pro lite is like $1400 in Canada from a distributor.

      You've got to be joking man. You'd get 2 and a FLG5 shipped to Canada for that price from this site www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/index.php/devilbiss-flg5-compliant-solvent-spraygun-best-seller.html#sthash.mDriF6Sa.HbVPuExJ.dpbs

    Great Vid Gunnie! Noticed the DV1 has a 1.2mil needle and the FLG 1.4 i thought its better to use 1.3 or 1.4 for base and 1.2 for clear coat ?

    I want to know your opinion about guns..Sagola 4600 1.3 vs Devilbiss DV1 ??Which is better and why?

    • @Bytrl
      @Bytrl 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neither. Prolite on price alone. Or wait for the dv1 to go down. Or get a 4600. Personal preference between the prolite & 4600. He's got reviews and comparisons of the two guns head to head. In the states tekna prolites with 1.3 tip & all air caps + a digital gauge & a large stainless steel pot, are now on sale at sherwin William's automotive for $400. You Cannot go wrong with that.

    Hello Gunman, long time fan of yours!! I have a question for you. I have apprenticed for two years underneath my paint tech and caught on very quickly. I am one of the hardest working people at my shop and make the painter a lot of money. At the shop I work at I average the painter around 100-130 hours a week and get this all done working only around 45 to 50 hours a week . I do everything from reading the estimates, to the prep work, color match, cut ins, Priming, blocking, almost everything. By the time the painter is finished with one car, by the end of the bake cycle, I would have already had 2 to 3 jobs ready to be put in the paint booth and I am extremely constant , very rare I make a mistake. All the painter has got to do is pull the trigger on the cars and it is just me as his apprentice. I was wondering when would be the time to branch out and become a painter. I feel as though I'm ready to start being a paint tech . Please could you make a video or just respond on some advice on this if you think it would be a good idea at the moment or not. I don't get paid much but I do make bonuses which help out a lot, but I find it is not enough. Being young and having to take care of all my bills I just think I would be better off on my own. Thank you...

      Majesty Lover in my opinion you are ready for the next step if everything you are saying is true. Start looking around and see what’s out there.When I was in your position I looked for a shop that was consistently busy and could feed two or more painters.The reason I say this is because if you get in a jam you can ask someone that’s had that same problem before. If you don’t think you need that then find a shop that does enough work to keep you happy and not overwhelmed. Hopefully this helps.

    • @austinthebeast33
      @austinthebeast33 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erikthrana4984 Oh yeah man I would like to be in a shop with someone with a lot more experience. Not only to learn and grow, but to just have someone who can help me just in case something I've never seen before happens . I appreciate the feedback greatly. The only thing is I feel like I will be putting the shop in a bind when I leave. Should I wait for someone to come and apprentice under me so the painter has help ????

    • @erikthrana4984
      @erikthrana4984 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Majesty Lover I would talk to the painter and the manager to let them know what your plans are. Either they will try to keep you there or tell you to do what you got to do. I try not to burn bridges when I leave places. As for training the person that would be taking your place I’ve never stayed to train the next person or expect the person leaving to train the my new helper. You got to remember that you are doing this to better your skills and life. I’ve never found it easy to leave most places I’ve worked because the good ones usually invest in there employees but when you can’t move up you have no choice.
