- To make sure that no one misinterprets what we were doing, here it is spelled out. Nearly every major canoe manufacturer has models called Prospectors. We didn't jump on that bandwagon, instead we have the B series (B 19, B 17, B 16), They offer the versatility of Prospectors without us recycling the name Prospector ad infinitum.
In the same vein, to dramatize the durability of Royalex, Old Town threw a canoe off the roof of their factory. Nova Craft did the same for their introduction of Tuff Stuff. We did throw a canoe off our roof, but it was a StarLite for the Kevlar is Light video. Originally we wanted to have the earth go around the sun once before the boat hit the ground, satirizing how light our StarLite lamination is, but that proved too challenging on the camera side of things. Instead we opted for simplified shot.
And, of course, we may be poking a little fun too.

Come on Nova craft did it for real and showed it... where's the faith? This is better than a hammer test for ipx we want to see it
Look at the other videos about IXP on this channel - they show real world use.
I don’t believe any of that. I bought the B17 and the wind pushed it on its side when it was tied on my deck and it cracked on both ends.
If you threw it down for real then at least show the whole drop unedited, like Nova Craft did. Not that this type of impact is indicative of any real use scenario but still, if you are to do it then do it and show it.
