Great video. Thanks for explaining the difference between the RE and the DS. Explained it more thoroughly than my dealer did. Also I knew the skis were different than the Skidoo but didn’t know the spindle was a different offset. Great info.
So it seems like the RE is more like a Freeride and the DS is more like the expert. I wanted a 154 non turbo so I got a DS and then I can upgrade the shocks for adjustability. Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to more content on these Lynx Sleds!
Excellent video @rossrobinson! Just put a deposit on an RE 3900 Turbo with 10.25" dash yesterday and can't wait to try this sled! Been on Matryx and expect it to be very different, in a good way. I'm sure it is tough, which is a priority and I hope that parts availability is good and not needed.
Was so on the fence on ordering a 4100 DS but decided on the expert instead. Fits my riding style better I think. But cant deny the Lynx is the better looking of the two sleds and I need to try that rear skid
Its weird how they are the same chassis yet the lynx looks better then then the doo. I think its the just the color and how the headlights connect together
Did a lynx 146 skid for 907 Films. Steeper rail profile and front track shock mounted 1.25” higher up in the rails for more pressure. The sled will bunny hop in parking lots. Sled will wheelie up hills, across hills, down hills. Very insane sled. You should try it for spring riding.
I have a question about the front end. I am wanting to order a aftermarket front bumper for my shredder. I am wondering if the previous lynx boondocker/skidoo bumpers are going to work with the shredder? Trying to get a head start on ordering parts lol.
Awesome channel Ross! Worth the sub. Think you could get your hands on the Xterrain Brutal 850? I’d love to see you do walk around on her. I have one ordered for next winter. Peace from 🇨🇦
Hey Ross, thanks for the video. I'm curious if you know if the production sleds center shock will have a piggy back with adjustments like the rear shock?. The spec sheet says it does but all the current RE models do not have it that I've seen. Thanks!
What’s the difference between the Powdermax and Powdermax light tracks? And does BRP manufacture their own tracks. Couldn’t find em on the Camso website.
Hey Ross, i finally got to test a shredder 146 non turbo. I was really impressed with the sled and how snappy the engine and the clutch setup was. How does it compare to a turbo? I tried a summit 154 turbo, and it felt slugish
Looks sweet!! How much difference in the side hill (with the narrower panels) from the 22 DS to this RE? We have the demo rolling through our area in 2 days!! I’m thinking on an upgrade🔥🤙
I don't really get the no rear bumper. its just nice to have, doesn't weigh much, makes towing easier, etc. I'll be waiting for your video I guess Rosco:) Would love to have a go on one of these tho, if I were buying new I would move from BRP to LYNX for the subtle touches that make a big difference.
Agreed. I don't need a rear bumper for getting unstuck. it's more for tight tree riding where the tunnel has a chance of binding up on a tree. More so for protection.
850 turbo 3700 for North America! hello lynx are you listening??? Us flatlanders dont need all that 3900 track. You could really sweeten the deal with a 40" front end width.
dude they have had it on the older models but we the nordic people wanted the 36" and i think u can get lfs+ and u get your 40", but the real question is why? just by a xterrain or a rave if u wanna ride trail...
Ross, is the engine tune on the Shredder RE turbo R the same as the tune on the G 5 850 turbo R? Seems the summit has more snap in the 4,500 to 6,000 rpm range. Also any word that the chain on the shredder is better than the G5? Thanks😊
As far as ski stance 36” is on center and it can be narrowed with bushings, however narrowing the skis that way slightly hinders the handling no matter the sled
How is the sled in total if you compare it to the 2022 Boondocker RE? ( I am very close to picking up a 2022 850 3700 RE) Would I regret not waiting for the shredder? (I'd have to keep my boondocker for 2 seasons if i get it now)
www.brplynx.com/us/en/we-are-lynx/events.html Most of the public probably won't be able to ride them until next year, but they are doing ride days in select locations. Awesome description and did it all in 1 take! Talk about a Pro. Id really love that exact suspension setup on the expert chassis. I like the lower bars (like you), hand guards, quick adjust limiter strap, and colors of the expert better but it just needs shock! Like real expert shocks.
Why is the rear bumper an option to me that should never be an option. Same with skid plates any brand of sled should come out of the factory with that on the sled.
They aren't tailoring these sleds to the NA market in anyway.. plus the entire world uses the metic system and we think everyone should change for us.... talk about stupidty..
I actually love the look of this sled. Looks super aggressive and you can never have too much light.
Great video. Thanks for explaining the difference between the RE and the DS. Explained it more thoroughly than my dealer did. Also I knew the skis were different than the Skidoo but didn’t know the spindle was a different offset. Great info.
Glad I could inform. More to come! Yep slightly different spindle measurement.
Thanks Rosco For the Excellent Explanation, esp on the options and Suspension!

I can’t wait for my re ! Been watching these videos over and over 🤣
Love this sled ! Wanted to buy the rave or Xterrain for my first brand new sled , but no turbo… 😢

I spring ordered a Shredder 3900 Turbo R the other day, cant wait! 🤩
Another solid one from Roscoe! Thanks my man
Bring that RE 3700 turbo to North America stat!!!
So stoked to try this sled next season! Thanks for sharing!
Can't wait for more tips on setup ie limiter strap, suspension and spring preload

Bro you know your shit so informative I just pick up a 2023 850 turbo re
What’s the difference between the Powdermax and Powdermax light tracks? And does BRP manufacture their own tracks. Couldn’t find em on the Camso website.
What is the crossover model do they make a bomber 146 that could be ridden in the trail
xterrain RE
I love the look of that thing
It would appear that you like the new Shredder^^
Hey Ross, i finally got to test a shredder 146 non turbo. I was really impressed with the sled and how snappy the engine and the clutch setup was. How does it compare to a turbo? I tried a summit 154 turbo, and it felt slugish

Sick walk around, can’t wait to get my 3700
Went ahead and snow checked the RE. What setting do you prefer on the limiter strap?
Limiter strap is one up from the bottom hole. It should be delivered to you that way.
Would love to see you ride with burandt again.
Well done 👏 thank you!
Do you prefer 3inch track over 2,6?
Where is the 25lbs extra weight than the summit? That's a hell of a lot

The lynx is still a BRP sled👍
@@albinlinde3399 I'm well aware... Also why I said 'subtle touches' denoting the differences between the sleds..

Can I get one in Spokane US?

Nice overview, but I'm more interested in those red stoke gloves, I assume a new colorway from 509 for next season?
🥵🥵
@@Rossxr Busted haha
Can you make a video on rear suspension tuning?
I will going into the fall!
They've got a 2.86 not 3.5 pitch?
So I just pre ordered turbo DS. Being a 230 lbs rider plus adding gas caddy and linq bag should I be asking for stiffer springs?
you may want to yes. You could also look into putting the RE shocks in the rear skid also

Mike, same tune, same chain. you might just be feeling a difference Sled to Sled in the belt or a few other things
@@Rossxr Thanks. Been keeping a close eye on the chain tension. kinda wish it wasn't the same ad the G5. Appreciate the info for sure
Do you know is there going to be a demo tour? Or will dealers have demos?
theres is a spring tour. unfortunately no rides that i know of. Very few protos due to the state the world is in.
I know the front suspension is 36" , but is it adjustable like the freeride?
As far as ski stance 36” is on center and it can be narrowed with bushings, however narrowing the skis that way slightly hinders the handling no matter the sled

Thanks my guy, I’ll be doing set up videos in the fall, won’t help the skidoo guys, but based on what your telling me you should. Look at riding red
Can you put a windshield on it?
No windshield on the Shredders.
What is the track pitch on the 3900?
2.86
The TMNT jokes made about the gen5 were solidified when they decided to call this sled "shredder" 🤣🤣
leader of the foot clan
146 turbo usa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why is the rear bumper an option to me that should never be an option. Same with skid plates any brand of sled should come out of the factory with that on the sled.
Shedder 😂
USB?? That cant be correct, surely it must be USB-C.
Better off with a skidoo
Suggestion for the NA market….just go to inches….nobody knows the metric system or the stupidity that comes with….
