I’m such a huge fan of what he does. I’m a bit of an agoraphobe, but he makes me feel like I could go to an actual gym with real equipment and not be the butt of the joke to everyone there.
@@Kwahzutah honestly MOST people in the gym (in my experience) are SUPER cool and understanding since they were usually where you were at at some point in their own life. Unfortunately there are also some bullies who make life worse for everyone in there smh

Well yeah, she inspired hope in me, hope that she comes around and starts taking responsibility. So she was a jerk because she thought it was funny and it blew up in her face, reflect on it.
She accused the man of harassing her. Unfortunately for her the gym released a video that was a LIE. There was no harassment nor stealing an equipment from her. Also she said that those men were her bros making a protective stance for her, but guess what? Two of those men came forward and said they don’t know her. Such a liar!

This is not a petty issue. A trainer engaging in behavior that would make others who might not be in good shape afraid to step foot in a gym because they might be ridiculed like this? Who needs to go to a gym the most but someone who is not in good shape, who may not be familiar with the equipment and might make mistakes? And who has she discouraged but those people? Who would you expect to be responsible for encouraging and helping those who might not be getting it right, but the trainers and regular customers. If she was a decent person, she could have approached him and kindly said, "Excuse me, I think it's great that you are taking steps to improve your physical fitness, and you're doing great. I'm a trainer, and would you mind if i gave you a little pointer that might make this exercise more effective?" If gyms had people who behaved like that, how much more repeat customers would they have, instead of being packed with new customers in January who get discouraged and drop out after a couple weeks. Good job, Ms influencer. You've really boosted your industry. I think i'll do my workouts at home.

I love Joey! I’m very uncomfortable working out at the gym. I’m a woman who’s not in great shape, but I work my butt off at the gym. I’m always worried about someone making fun of me because I’m not in great shape. I’d be traumatized if some idiot filmed me and put me on their social media to laugh at me. Thanks Joey!!

If that lady was a true personal trainer who uplifts others (or whatever she has on her social media) she would have spoken to the gentleman doing the exercise, learned that it is a legitimate exercise and filmed him (with his permission of course) doing and explaining it to her viewers. She could have used it as a teachable moment. But, instead she had to be a jerk. JS is right. She should be ashamed of herself.

This is part of the anxiety I have about going to the gym. Nobody wants to be made fun of for whatever reason. I used to weigh over 530 lbs, and now im 199lbs, and I'm more self-conscious now more than ever because of the loose skin. I am terrified about being filmed or whatever just to be poked fun of.

I have watched Joey’s videos and was so frustrated over this situation but couldn’t figure out how to voice my thoughts. With others like her that blame everyone else for what they did wrong. But because they are of color they are being persecuted because they are so sure that they are correct in what they are doing.
