Do you think the ports will just bring in cheap illegal labor to replace the union longshoremen? What's stopping them from doing so? We have millions of illegals, so I don't see why the ports wouldn't hire them and just go around the unions. I stand for union workers, but I'm afraid their position may not be as strong as they think. So many industry labor jobs have already gone to cheap illegal labor.
