Project 2022 NSX Type-S Exhaust / Downpipes Upgrades makes this car a beast!

- This is our second NC1 NSX project car. The first car was a 2017 Blue NSX which was equipped with the SOS downpipes and exhaust. This time around we have a 2022 130r Type-S NSX and we knew the stock system (although it has drastically improved sound in OEM form) it still needs more "bark" to be a proper super car.

Is there much sound difference between high flow cats and catless on this car?
I've noticed cold start with stock is super loud for about only 5 seconds then quiets down dramatically. is that from the valves closing or the hybrid/ICE system doing something? I'm just wondering if muffler delete will cold start and idle loud for a while. trying to respect my neighbors. lmao
Typically the engine will be running rich to help get to operating temp. This is usually controlled electronically via the ECM for EFI engines. This has nothing to do with the exhaust valves
@@euroboutique yea I understand that, however what I'm questioning is that the high idle only lasted about 5 seconds then it quieted down dramatically. typically it's high idle for about a minute with other cars. if the cold start only lasts a few seconds then a straight pipe would be perfect for me because of neighbors. haha. your setup sounds awesome!
@@JoeySoCali depending on what mode you are in while cold starting it the valves do different things. quiet mode valves closed entire time, sport mode (default) it starts with the valves open, then closes them after 5 seconds, sport+ valves are just open.
Is the upgrade downpipe catless?
No we only remove the secondary cats but the primary cat is still there

Mine is 2020, do you get P0420 error even with the 02 adaptor?

Nice, does this set up affect emissions
No this setup retains all the factory cats so there is no issue with emissions, but varies state to state so check with your local rules
