No doubt about it. It's the best series I ever watched, so perfect and so detailed. I am Indian. Turkish culture is so rich, and it surprised me how it sneaked into Indian culture too through different empires who brought Turkish culture with it.

Kiwi here. The missus and I have nearly finished Dirilis: Ertugrul season 1 (NetFlix NZ). Let me just say as a fan of quality HBO shows, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad etc... this show is as good if not better than Game of Thrones. It's really that good. Absolutely riveting.

I love the series dirilis ertugrul. It shows super acting and great story telling. It a beautiful history lesson about how the ottoman Empire came about. Netflix introduce me to season 1 and 2. Hopefully!!! The person in charge will pick up season 3 and 4( when it end). My first time commenting on a series. Love it!!!!

I have been watching the Turkik shows available on netflix since 2017. I am totally hooked; the acting is superb and the historical series are just incredibly well done. I am so grateful for entertainment that teaches me as well as entertains. I would love for netflix to be able to negotiate the subsequent series for all of the shows they got me hooked on - especially Magnificent Century, Dirilis Ertugrul, Baba Candir, 1001 Nights, well, all seasons of all the Turkik dramas.

I've loved so many TV series down the years from Star Trek to Boys From the Blackstuff to The Sopranos to The Wire to Deadwood to Breaking bad to Spiral etc etc etc. Got to say, however, I've never derived so much from watching a screen as I have from the hours spent watching Ertugrul. Can't quite put my finger on the actual reason why but I guess in essence it just takes a hold and becomes so much a part of you. An incredible achievement by the creator, the writers, the actors and all the technical staff. So grateful to have stumbled upon it.

While I really enjoy the Resurrection series, I have to be honest and say that some of the other Turkish movies fall short IMHO. I fully appreciate that perhaps it's because the industry is new in Turkey, and that given time the plots, acting, sets, lighting, etc will all improve over time. I wish for Turkey great success in the film industry and really respect the fact that they do not follow the US model.

I got into Turkish soaps/ telenovelas while on several vacations in Puerto Rico, first Fatmagül and then Kara Parasha coming back to the US it was almost impossible to watch as the market for soap opera is mostly Mexican. So, I had to resort to the internet I found a channel from Brazil,even though it was in Portuguese, closer to Spanish, I was able to understand it as the others were in Turkish. I found Fatmagül in Spanish from a Colombian channel. On my resent vacation I started watching Süleyman, El gran Sultán, playing for the third time in PUerto Rico, again back home I first found it on Netflix with English subtitles, but it was only about 45 episodes, so once more I went on the web and I found it this time on TH-cam in Spanish and later on other sites like Daily Motion. Now am watching Kosëm and once am done Netflix is playing Resurrection with subtitles in English. I love historical dramas, time era pieces, even though: they are not accurate I resorted to researching and I have become very interested in the history of the Ottoman Empire back to Genghis Khan. I have tried catching some words, but the language is difficult however I have caught on some Arabic words as religious phrases. Well let me just say this I am not a soap opera person, but the first to stories I watched were real life dramas with real everyday realities. I must mention I and everyone I know felt in love with both male and female main characters Fatmagül, Kerem, Ömer, the men and women are very attractive and diverse from white to brown just like in Latin America. I will very much like to see more Turkish dramas reach US market via Spanish telecommunications-means. I will also like documentaries about the Ottoman Empire as these soaps are not to substitute for the real history. Can’t wait to visit Turcia
