Hi Alexander, once you make a firm decision to give up your old life of just thinking and doing whatever you want, and you really want to do God's will with all your heart, you can ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit that will help you in the time of temptation. You put off the old man by making a firm decision. The battle is then against the sin in your flesh (your body of sin), not against your "old man", although it might feel that way. Your old man is your old mindset. But now it is time to take up the battle against sin. You need to learn to overcome, one temptation at a time. There are many other videos on this channel that have been a help to me to understand these concepts that can seem quite complicated, but they become simple if we really are tired of how we behave and think and want to be renewed according the pattern of Christ. The only way is to do Gods will, there is no short cuts. If you struggle to find out gods will or you dont hear his voice. All you can do is pray and believe.
🙏 Could you please change the overly perky voice at the end of these serious videos 🙏 It ruins the overwhelming feeling of the Holy Spirit working inside..... showing us our sinful nature and prompting us to repent 😢 The perky voice tears us away from the Holy Spirit convicting our hearts 😢 Please either change it to a deep, serious voice .... or just silence 🙏

The old man is Adam and the new man is Jesus. We were lost in sin because of Adam and we were saved from sin because of Jesus, the second Adam.
