I have so much respect for these pilots. They take an inherently dangerous activity and make it look easy. Just a ton of skill on display here great job bush pilots!!
Best coverage yet! Because the audio is a huge part of the experience(which you captured brilliantly)...captions with the distances might be a good option! Thank you so much! Great job!
FreedomFox is doing some work here! Good job Trent! But man, that screaming Apex has me droolin on the floor!! And Steve Henry’s flying skills are matching the plane so well too! All in all, great show, great video! Thanks for sharing!!
This is so awesome I wish I was there so I can draw out plans for some of these bush planes for RC fpv. Thanks for sharing quality content you have here 🤘
The cones and marks on the ground are marked accordingly to measure the land and take offs, bush planes are designed for short landings and take offs, the reason for this is for those of is the use off airports back country air strips or rural areas, river areas, grass lands ,these competitions showcase aircraft performance and pilot skills, I hope this helps
These planes look a little unforgiving like they look like they keep you on your toes these pilots make it look pretty easy we all know it’s not I’m sure it takes years to master the craft it’s fun watching them..
...sheeshe...I know these are professional bush pilots, but all those power lines everywhere, low and slow, and the right turn on climb out right over the parked planes and spectators?...and coming in for a landing while making a turn and descending right above the treetops?...balls of steel for the pilots, and great trust in them not to mess up by the show organizers....
The best of the three-point landing technique seems to have been forgotten: Come down very low, simultaneously reducing the RPM and increasing the angle of attack. When performed properly, the distance from the ground stays constant, say 1 meter. When the stall speed is reached, the plane drops with all three wheels touching the ground at the same time. This was practiced before WW2.
@@soodlorr PROBABLY NOWHERE. You could try this with a radio-controlled model, if you have one (the third wheel under the tail). if you have mastered that maneouer, publishing a video would be a good service to the society.

Too early on the flaps and rotation. Every pilot needs to know when the flaps will give enough lift to get the plane off the ground. Roll out, flaps, rotate. You don't need to go straight up, you just need to get off the ground.

pilot landing at 7:19 pulls flaps up right away, most other do not. can someone tell me why
One in black green... aaah I am in with that plan ❤😘❤
This looks like so much fun!
I'd never heard of the Fat Tire Cowboys before this year... but now i'm loving their stuff.
These were actually the "Flying Cowboys" ;)
Think i recognize this. Same kinda plane mel gibson flew in "bird on a wire", right?
Mad skills, great show!
Nice profile pic!
this looks super fun
Who is that young fellow at 8:28, is that Young Trent Palmer, The TH-cam Guru?

GREAT VIDEO. THANKS ''!''
Beautiful machines and sklled pilots. The dispatcher is fun!
Third plane taking off won!
Can't believe how many of them were landing short. Surprising.
i know right. damn rookies. ;)
I wonder what is the landing speed of these bushplanes. It looks like they come in around 45kts before wheels touch the ground.

Could someone explain what to look for when watching these? As in what qualifies as something good here

Anyone who doesn't bang the tail on takeoff and lands on the line, knows what they are doing.
What's maximum speed this air plane.

Zamzuree Abdul Halim Short Takeoff and Landing
the "and" has no home and TakeOff hogs the acronym. ;)
No leading edge slats?? All the difference.
