As a singer myself I'd say Baekhyun is good because his vocal control is insane. In that line in the beginning when he says, "My favourite." He does some vibrato in the first half of the word favourite which is already beautiful and displays control but then he does more vibrato in the last half of the word which is incredibly hard to do because he just did some and to do it again so shortly after without sounding like a sheep requires near super human levels of vocal control. And vibrato in general isn't exactly an easy thing to do without sounding like a sheep. Not every singer is capable of doing it, you need training or some crazy raw talent. Also those high notes and how long he carries them is on another level. He also has a good vocal range and he goes from high to low effortlessly. So yeah the man is ridiculously talented and incredibly hard working. The fact that he has been such a strong singer throughout his entire career and yet he continues to take vocal lessons. All the work he puts in really shines through in his songs and performances. I can tell that his vocal control has only gotten better since his last EP which is crazy because how can you improve on perfection? He keeps proving us wrong. As you can see by my rant I'm a huge Baekhyun fan. Can't wait till he comes back from the military, hope he stays safe and healthy.
He has a duet with Suzy called Dream. A good chunk of his duets are OSTs, all really good and he covers a variety of genres.

He has a collaboration with (female) rock singer Seomoontak coming out May 10 so look out for it. He can sing pretty much anything but it is outside the norm for him so I can’t wait.
I think Baekhyun’s greatest strengths are the amount of emotion he injects into his singing, the range of genres he excels at, and the effortless way he moves between chest and head. Let’s just say it, he’s hella talented and skillful.

Fun fact: The album and title track is called Bambi for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because he was enlisting in the military soon and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he is away for 18 months serving his country. As mentioned, Bambi also refers to "night rain" as he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean, Bam as in night and bi as in rain. And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the name of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D

I think you have to be deaf if you don't understand why he is good just be listening to him. LOL You don't really need an explanation. Those vocals are why Baekhyun is one of the main vocalists of EXO and the main vocalist of SuperM. :D
Also, as with everything that the members of EXO do, even most of their solo work is connected to EXO's concept and storyline. Baekhyun's EXO superpower is the ability to control light. (so it's not supposed to be fireworks, but it's supposed to be the explosion of light bulbs, etc. because his passion -- as manifested through his epic high note -- make him lose control of his powers, etc.)
I also have a feeling that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, as mentioned, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see aespa -- SM's new girl group who debuted last year -- also in a subway train in their debut MV "Black Mamba," we see Key in subway train in his solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV, and we see SHINee in an old train station in their recent comeback "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks and people on a subway train platform in Kai's "Film:Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and as it transitions to "Mmmh." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc.
And because Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and a member of EXO that usually means it's connected to SM's Universe. You will soon discover that the majority of SM's groups have concepts and storylines that connect together to create one giant story, and it all starts with EXO.
The rabbit hole for SM's universe is the deepest hole in the world....

The one thing I love about K-pop is how deep the artistry and concept goes. Taemin is the perfect example of this - every line sung and every prop in a music video ties back to something or symbolizes something. If you look, you keep seeing connections which is just amazing. And, as a 2nd-generation stan, it's really fun to lay out the connections that an album from, say, a month ago, has with a festival performance from 12 years ago. Older groups have so much history. And EXO, too, is really talented and Bambi is my all-time favorite song from Baekhyun.

I initially skipped over this song for whatever reason but realized it’s right up my R&B alley. I’d love for your vocalist friends to react to G.Soul/Golden. He’s not K-Pop but an incredibly underrated talented R&B vocalist who won amateur night performing at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem NYC. I love his songs “Hate Everything” and “Natural,” both in English. His covers of Prince and Erykah Badu are exceptional as well.
No lie… I want a ‘Baekhyun - Beyoncé’ duet. Or a ‘SZA - Baekhyun’ duet because of her unique tone.
