Omg this is so informative , thank you so much!
As someone working with foods, it’s not necessarily that they are not cooking the properly or using dirty oil etc, there’s different bacterias around the world, just like in the water, they can handle it, we might not as we’re not used to it!
I’m very very interested in India! Great video! Cheers!!

Hi Willie 😊… I travelled in my twenties alone . I went to the Seychelles and previously to that Tenerife. In the Seychelles at the time there was a curfew because of a military coup so had to be back at hotel before 10 I think but I did feel safe but India is a whole different ball game I don’t think I would have considered it then let alone now. Maybe I’m just wiser now… great video for anyone contemplating going . I’m pleased you’re feeling better, onwards and upwards to your new adventures 😊

Hi Chris, thanks for sharing your experiences! That curfew sounded pretty intense and it must have been an interesting experience at the time. I gather from your post that you like sunny places :) India is certainly a place that will keep many if not most on their toes.

Hi Elladine! Always nice to hear from you and I'm glad you found the video useful. I think you're spot on - definitely visit India but don't wing it alone. Go with someone or in a small group. It is always a pleasure and indeed a privilege to share these videos with people like you. Cheers!

Hi Willie thanks once again for the travel tips. Yes your body builds up reststance over the years of living there. A new comer has not the same antibodies yet to combat the bacterias. Is it best to carry around hand sanitizer before eating something. Eat from a closed or sealed packet😊

Old Delhi is not planned at-all - As you can see streets are narrow & the population has exploded beyond what the roads can support. Fortunately or unfortunately India is no China with a criminal CCP enterprise at the top (which is only bothered with Power & Money) which can just order people to move enmass & demolish the whole area & build again! They can even disappear people Like what they did to their defence & foreign minister because the "emperor for life" didnt like them! India is a noisy democracy where people have rights & are hard to evict unless they willingly do so. That's my 2 cents. I would still rather live (and be free) in a noisy, imperfect but headed in the right direction democracy like India than in the Banana republic of China!

99.9% you got your dehli belly off the water mate, not so much the food.. Even the top hotels, the staff re-glue the bottle tops down, and use local tap water, just to make a few rupees, I am a survivor of such, been all over india many times, and every time, always been the water..

    • @christineketland1345

My husband once saw a barman in a top hotel in Egypt pouring water straight from the tap into water bottles. No wonder his colleague was ill whilst there .

    • @willieexplore

You know what, the last thing I consumed before my ordeal was a bottle of water. So you may well be right! If the top hotels are indeed guilty of what you say, it is nothing short of an outrage.

Big problem for foreigners in India that Indians keep staring. Actually they look how white is he and what he is doing here. Sorry for this. This is crowded beacuse of locals from other state came to delhi NCR for work. And this is very old made cities it is very tough to reconstruct this areas. This is why there is New Delhi and Delhi. Both are totally different. Avoid food from unhygienic thelewala. Even Indians ignore them too. We eat spicy and masala made food our intenstine can digest. But if this your first time with Indian food prepare with strong immunity. Please visit other places too inspite of selected areas like Northeast India especially Sikkim and Arunachal. South India. Gujarat. Andaman Nicobar. If you face any insecurity call cop. There is law. I saw many vloggers they share experieces that India is horrible. I don't know why they forgetting India have laws and Cops too.

Yes they stare a lot and remember that I am also walking with a camera on a stick talking to myself, so they must be thinking what on earth is going on! But in my experience (and it might not be for everyone) the stares are more out of curiosity than something for sinister. Appreciate your tips and suggestions about other parts to visit in India.
