    We are thinking of trying 3 different classes of trains through India! has anyone had experience with the sleeper trains? 😊

      For AC 1 class, you can try the New Delhi Mumbai Rajdhani express train. This should be a good one.
      For sleeper class (Non AC), try a short distance train as it's hot in most of the places in the plains. It shall be an uncomfortable ride that way if it's packed.
      While in Mumbai, you may try the local suburban trains that run within the city. Best to avoid during peak hours.
      However, during this time of the year, travellers are best headed up in the Himalayan states like Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the whole of Northeast Indian region(Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh etc)

      @@sumangalrajkonwar2371 Thanks for the tips! we have had so many people recommend the Himalayan states and are upset that we will miss out on them. Hopefully next time we are in India we will see them though!

    HELP ME! I'm (Just Me) traveling to India in October 2023.. Delhi to Agra to Varanasi fly out of Varanasi.. Should I use a tour group or should I go alone? Is there an app to purchase train tickets or how do you do it?

    • @JordanandEmily
      @JordanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว

      😄 we can try and help! Tours can be a good way to forget about everything and be suprised about where they take you and obviously meet others on the tour! The big benefit of going solo is keeping the costs down. If it were either of us solo, honestly we'd probably do a small group tour!
      To book the trains we just used 12go asia. It's a website that has every train made super simple to book, you pay a small surcharge but it's way better than figuring it our at the station! 😄 hope this helps a little bit!

      Hello, Indian here!!. Please, avoid going to Delhi, Agra and Varanasi. These places are not very safe. India's real beauty lies in places like Kerala, Goa, Puducherry, Dharamshala, Mysore, Manali, Gangtok, etc. You will have an awesome experience.
