For the average person on the street, the window cuts wouldn’t pose a issue as far as “debris “ causing a malfunction. We aren’t operators in the middle of the desert or jungle. Most self defense situations would probably take place in a parking lot or physical structure or on the street. I wouldn’t hesitate using it for everyday carry
I agree. CCW apendix/butt carry should not present a problem...revolvers are full of holes. If there's anything in your pants that can fit in those little "holes", you may have other issues.

At 52, I’m going to be getting my first ever firearm. My family and I have our beginner firearm safety class on 3/14. I like the 320 for a first gun and the customization you showed has me convinced. If I got this procut slide and the aluminum grip module from Sig, could I get an aftermarket custom finish without voiding any warranty?

Sig Sauer does state that they compensate for the windows by adding weight elsewhere so as to "not change the performance/behavior of the pistol". Also ... Great review! Sig has really stepped things up these last few years. These slides look great. I wouldn't use them on my ccw piece for obvious reasons, but they'll be turning lots of heads at the range.

At 11:20 that's the xcarry module, not xcompact. The xcompact module fits with the 3.6 slide. But great video! Enjoyed every bit. That pro cut with the wilson combat module looked so nice I had to build one myself.
I just got a 320 XCompact and will definitely be ordering the pro cut slide. I debated on the original 320C but the XCompact was the better bang for the dollar
I still gotta say, I’m more than happy with my German made original P228, mixed with a safariland retention holster, it fits me so well. It’s imho the perfect mix. I don’t have a pic rail or any extras, just the Sig Trij night sights keeping it nice n simple.

I found that I shot so much better with it compared to the Beretta & the usual Glocks. Also it never ever let me down. I personally don’t need anything more than this 228 in 9mm.

I want the pro slide but I was afraid of the weight affecting recoil and having to play with different springs. Since there is no substantial weight difference can assume I would not have any issues with the upgrade? Thanks

Odd SIG Custom Works doesn't' have ported barrels available for guns that use the PRO CuT slide that is not the Spectre Comp. Why not?? Does any one make ported barrels for P320 SIG's?? Interested to see which gun would be "flatter shooting".....Spectre Comp Vs PRO CUT w/ ported barrel?
I was shocked to hear the pro cut was the heaviest. I have a p320 compact and sure I like the looks of the cut slides Im just not convinced there is any performance gains. I think the 400+ dollars is better spent towards another gun IMO.

The TXG is way heavier and handles recoil like a boss however it’s only in grey, it’s not as ergonomics and stylish as the Icarus. The Icarus is hands down a functional piece of art. Every part is very well machined and the ergos are amazing. The finish matches the Sig slide color very well too. The only complaint I have is the coating isn’t very durable. I haven’t shot the gun a ton and already have wear points from my ring and palms. I’ll more than likely have the finish done in something unique/futuristic.

I have two p320s a full size and a carry model. Great pistols. The full size has the Wilson Combat grip and it fits my hands ver well. My question is, what is the advantage of the slide cut outs? I have heard of slides being lightened so you can run a lighter recoil spring for competition. If the cut slide weighs the same, that seems to negate any performance advantage.

I recently got a pro cut slide for my 226. And I cannot get the stupid optic plate cover off. The screws came out no problem, but the plate will not budge. Very aggravating.
@@Youngbobotube I reached out to Sig's customer service, which is excellent. The rep said that if it's a newer slide the plate slides out on the left. I still can't get it to budge so they recommend sending it in. It's extremely disappointing that I have to go through this kind of hassle for something so simple.
Hey bud great video! I have a question. Does your pro cut slide have a rainbow effect in the nitron finish on the (inside of slide) where the recoil Rod goes? All the ones I have seen lately have this. Some are worse than others. It has something to do with the nitron coating process I believe. Thank you and take care buddy!!!
Sorry for the late reply. I checked mine and I don’t see a distinct rainbow finish. Looks like the coating had worn a little but nothing through the finish or anything I’m worried about. Hope this feedback helps.

Thanks for checking out the review. I’m going to assume you want to co witness. Of course you don’t “need” to upgrade the sights to put on a red dot but when co-witnessing you will want them.
It’s not too aggressive at all. I really like the texture. The coating is pretty thin though. If you have rings or after a good amount of range time you’ll see wear for sure. That is my least favorite thing about the Icarus.
The x5 legion bull barrel doesn't fit the slide because of barrel thickness, not caliber size. I have an x5 legion chambered in 9mm. Order a different barrel for the slide and you'll be fine.
Glad the procut slides aren't lighter. Maybe Sig had the foresight to make them heavier so it couldn't be used againts you by a prosecuter if the gun was used in self defense. You know they will try to say it's a lighter gun and your some type of comp shooter crap
Unfortunately they aren’t compatible with the RMR from the factory. However you could possible have a gun smith mill it to fit. I would consult your local smith first to make sure before committing.

I really like this weapon for concealed carry. I assume some configuration change is necessary to accommodate the P250 hammer.
I want to justify spending nearly $600 slide to add to my sig which already costed roughly $1200 with transfer, optic and grip module. That’s a $1,800 gun.

Not that I’ve seen… yet. But depending on how it impacts the market I’m sure we’ll be see plenty of companies either machining factory slides to look like pro cut slide or making their own.

According to Sigs website yes. You can replace the slide even if the pistol has an LCI. It will not affect anything. I just ordered one for my 226.

Go with the grayguns springs and stainless rods for the full size and x5. The stock ones are noisy and grayguns are not

Excellent review! I know that the slide is cut for an R1P or DPP, but can anyone speak to if it has the holes tapped for RMR, like the LE slide?
I’m pretty sure at this point the only Sig slide cut for the rmr are the factory AXG models like the scorpion.

The ergonomics of the Icarius is crazy good. If I plan on a long day of shooting I swap out the TXG to the Icarius for comfort.

Dose Sig make a pro cut slide for the P320 x10?!?
Not that I’ve seen… yet. But depending on how it impacts the market I’m sure we’ll be see plenty of companies either machining factory slides to look like pro cut slide or making their own.
