His deal with Parker was the ultimate downfall in my opinion. Just a shame Elvis didn't take a harder stance against Parker, afterall Elvis had all the power but was afraid to use it.
Elvis should have gotten rid of parker around the early 70s cut his losses,take time off so he could come off the drugs,why know oneof his team stoodup to him just sad
The abuse of drugs got out of hand. Which caused him to indulge in food making way overweight. He didn’t take enough breaks from his concerts. Staying so sedated he didn’t get the exercise he desperately needed. His organs were enlarged too much Causing them to fail. His digestive system was almost completely suppressed due to the drugs. Euphoria from the drugs kept him going and needed amphetamines to get moving for his concerts. Sad and a tragic ending to his life. No man could handle the fame and fortune he acquired. He lived his live too fast.
I'm a huge Elvis fan. However ,Elvis was a self indulgent, immature drug addict. He was a man , a flawed one. Who is to say if id come up dirt poor and been handed all that money at 19 or 20 years old I would have been any different. He was a wonderful entertainer. At the end of the day Elvis made his choices including commiting suicide by drug overdose. I miss him as I'm sure the work does
Elvis Aaron Presley was only Human after all and Parker kept pushing him to Perform, I cant blame Elvis for using Drugs, I smoke cigarettes so I'm not perfect either ❤😢
Non trovo corretto dire che Elvis usava "droghe". Lui usava "farmaci" che doveva prendere per curarsi. Aveva ereditato gravi problemi di salute. Sin da bambino soffriva di insonnia e problemi intestinali. Aveva il sistema immunitario molto debole e si ammalava spesso .....durante il servizio militare gli sono state date pastiglie per rimanere sveglio nei servizi notturni ma a quell'epoca erano del tutto normali, ne facevano uso in molti. E poi lui ha continuato a prenderle per mantenersi sveglio durante i concerti. Quindi doveva assumere sonniferi per riuscire a dormire. Il ritmo sonno/veglia molto disturbato....(e chiunque lavori di notte sa bene cosa significa doversi abituare a cambiare ritmi naturali) Negli anni la sua salute è peggiorata progressivamente( fegato cuore polmoni intestino occhi). Doveva prendere farmaci , per lenire dolori e sintomi vari da infezioni.....ed era diventato " dipendente " da essi. Magari ha anche esagerato per cercare di dare sempre il meglio di sé e di sentirsi comunque in forze. Però non assumeva droghe, non quelle tradizionalmente definite tali. Questo ho letto da autori ritenuti affidabili...e ne sono rimasta impressionata ma credo sia importante sapere per dare maggiore dignità alla condizione tragica che ha portato alla morte Elvis 😢 scusate. Parker was here illegally his British passport had run out he never renewed it! So he never wanted Elvis to tour abroad ! As he could not go! His fans were upset about this ! His movies were not great! Only Elvis fans liked them ! Elvis was too meek ! He never stood up to Parker ! His Aloha Hawaii was fabulous though ! Just my opinion ! I would love to hear Elvis escaped and lived a better life!
