      We really are defined by our worst. It’s one thing to get impatient with others occasionally, but to be frequently or consistently cruel is inexcusable. Everyone is nice sometimes, but it doesn’t matter how good your best is if your worst is abusive.

    I have struggled with a violent temper all my life and when it hits, we go into a dark place where all levels of acceptable human behavior no longer exist, and we only hurt the ones we love because its safe, and they'll take us back.

    • @phoenixmodellingphotography
      @phoenixmodellingphotography ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Exactly, we take it out on the ones we love the most during our weakest and most insecure moments. That's why it's so important for people to abandon their loved one and go no contact if they have a pattern of inflicting this kind of behaviour on you. Even though it'll be extremely difficult and you'll feel very guilty, you're actually showing them love by teaching real consequences for their abuse, only then maybe they can be part of your life again. Too many people put up with it and sacrifice their mental health just because they're scared of feeling guilty

I heard in an interview once from his own mouth saying the thing he disliked the most about himself was a temper. So I don't need to hear about it from someone else. That's not the story regarding Christina - according to the story by Joe Esposito:
    "Christina Crawford, the adopted daughter of Joan Crawford, paid Elvis a visit. The group was scattered, and I found myself in the TV room seated across a large coffee table from Elvis and Christina watching "Bonanza," one of the few shows in color then. Elvis had been puffing on a cigar making small talk with me as Christina tickled him and kidded around, apparently seeking more direct attention.
    Suddenly, she slung the contents of her cocktail glass right into Elvis's face. We're talking close range here, folks. The cigar went "phhhtttt" and he jumped up. I leapt up in surprise. He grabbed her by the hair; "Get this bitch out of here!" he screamed." Dragging her across the marble coffee table, kicking her in the butt and led her toward the front door as she struggled to keep up with the rather quick pace as he was pulling her locks. In just a few moments, a disheveled Elvis returned to the TV lounge, telling me apologetically, "Man, I'm sorry, I wasn't raised to treat a woman like that. She's crazy...I don't know what's wrong with her."

    These Guys I SWEAR... Except for Jerry and with Billy Smith's Channel - Larry Geller want to talk so much *SH*T* about Elvis -- Like He is the ONLY PERSON that had a Temper... Funny Jerry got along well because Jerry was not a confrontational PERSON Where Marty Sonny Red Fike have BIG MOUTHS... and I am SURE OR MY OPINION IS Elvis didn't like Confrontation!! SO They butted heads... BUT MARTY SONNY FIKE ETC WANT TO COME ACROSS AS IF ELVIS WENT OFF ON THEM NOOO THEY DID NOTHING TO POSSIBLY PISS ELVIS OFF!!! CHARLIE NEVER TALKED ABOUT THAT...! I'VE SEEN HIS INTERVIEWS -- LARRY GELLER NEVER SAID THAT!!! ONLY THESE MM DUDES THAT AFTER ELVIS DIED WAS GOING AFTER HIM AND NOTHING GOOD SAID ABOUT ELVIS ONLY HIS TEMPER AND MEDICATION AND STUBBORN NOOOO NONE OF THEM DID PILLS RIGHT? THEY ADMIT TO IT.... THEY ALL DID THEM.... AND I GUARANTEE YOU THEY WERE MOUTHY WITH ELVIS.. AND HE FIRED BACK.... LIKE JERRY SAID ELVIS NEVER CROSSED HIM IN ALL THOSE YEARS JERRY IS A MEEK MILD MANNERS MAN.... THAT TELLS YOU ALOT IN MY OPINION

Elvis stopped being the sugar daddy of David Hebler, Red and Sonny West because Vernon wanted to economize and those three caused expensive lawsuits by mistreating Elvis' fans. They were parasites that abused Elvis' generosity and friendship plus his female fans and profited from his contacts to get extra jobs in movies Elvis played in. Elvis paid for their livelihood and solved all their problems. They didn't want to be responsible for themselves, develop their own identity but made Elvis responsible for their lives even after he died. They proved to be toxic people when they published the tell-all book about Elvis out of revenge for their dismissal. Elvis Presley was too kind to the MM-members and most of the people around him. He invited people to take advantage of him and attracted toxic men and women like Priscilla and Linda.

If that were me and I was in her position, I would have yanked that cigar out of his mouth, threw it back at him and said light your own Dang cigar. That is most likely when a fight would break out, or Elvis would try to avoid it. I would’ve looked at his friend slapped the lighter and cigar out of his hand and said that man’s lighting is on cigar, you’re not doing it for him. And I would’ve told Elvis to pick it up, pick up your lighter and light your own dang cigar you fat worthless piece of crap. I probably would’ve yelled at him telling him to light it.
