We usually stay at the Disney Aulani resort....and one night at Hilton Hawaiian village...60,000 hilton points per night got upgraded to ocean view because of my diamond status.
My wife and I went a few years back. Stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. The resort was a great experience, although it may not have given us the best value. I also felt that the property was designed to keep guests from exploring the island.
Great details Mandy in explaining the difference between all hotels. Also.. I would check out and eat at Broke Da Mouth after going to Electric Beach. 🤙😋
I really liked the look of that first hotel! And you gotta love the $100 credit haha, Calby also loves buying spa stuff using the credit too haha. Wowwww that surprise party! That looked awesome! Great video Mandy, very fun!
🍍 Fun video. I live in Oahu. For staycations on cash, Surfjack or Twin Fin, points…probably one of the Hilton properties, Hyatt is a pain to book, Marriott is highly variable, sometimes you can get good rates at the Moana Surfrider. Good places to eat include Adela’s (noodles, Filipino, etc), MW (contemporary), Marukame (udon) and Taniokas for poke.
🍍 Kahala resort was the best resort we have stayed at in Oahu. Pricey, but if you have an oceanfront room, it's amazing. It's far enough away from waikiki beach that it's pretty secluded and the dining options are nice!
I was literally in Waikiki a few weeks ago! However, I didn't stay in any of the hotels listed in the description (I chose Courtyard by Marriott on Kuhio & Royal Hawaiian Ave). I did see some of the other hotels as I was walking around the city! Hope you had fun! 🤩
I usually stay at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Hilton Hawaiian Village since I have a timeshare. I use my Hilton Surpass from American Express and pay for my yearly maintenance fee and earn tons on Hilton Honors points 😊
In Oahu I usually stay at the Hyatt Place Waikiki, it's nothing fancy but it's great value for the location. For eats, I recommend KJs Local Grindz, its a local favorite and the thing to get there is the furikake Chicken.
Stayed at the Ritz Waikiki last year. Booked through FHR using Amex points. You can argue that redeeming for 1cpp is bad value, however when we stayed, they were running a $400 property credit when staying 4 nights. Combine that with the included breakfast daily of $60 for an additional $240, I'd say it was a solid redemption. About 60K amex points per night but $640 in total food credit.
🍍I like the kahala hotel and resort. Outside of Waikiki so you don’t have to deal with the crowds and close enough to Waikiki to go for nice dinners. They also have a shuttle to take you to Waikiki, Ala Moana shopping center. They also have the best Ahi poke musubi.
🍍 Thank you for sharing your Hawai’i visit. I will be staying at the Ka Lai next week for a staycation on free night certificate and points. It recently became a Hilton property. It used to be a Trump Hotel. 🤙🌺
🍍We did the Ko Olina Marriott on a presentation offer. The food in Oahu was really nice like a big expensive city but its a bit too populated for us for a beach vacation. Probably won't come back and stick with the smaller islands or French Polynesia.
“Hello, my name is Mandy and this is my cameraman Sebastian. Today, we are going to show you three different hotels at three drastically different price points to see which one is the most Worth It.”
Ritz Carlton Waikiki via Amex FHR is the way to go 🍍 just got back from a 7 day stay. Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin is a must eat. Mikiya was great with their unlimited A5. Panda Express / Cherng family are partial investors in the concept. Han No Daidokoro is a must try near the Ward.
$111.20 for 2 people for breakfast. If I had to pay for that, I'll pass. I rather go out to eat lunch or something. BUT, that breakfast looks super good!

Great attention to detail👍🏾 The suite was nice, and thanks for all the tips! I too enjoy the FHR program.

Thanks for watching Anthony :D
Thank you for your honest assessment of the food.

Thanks for the recommendations :) Definitely will try some of the food ones next time!

Yeah, tons of options. Especially if you're out and about anyways, more affordable makes sense :)
Ka LAH EE
Thanks for this video! I'm looking for a place to use my FHR credit and I've been wondering what this hotel was all about after getting renamed! 🍍

Chicken plate looks solid! Will put it on the list :)
Currently in Hawaii. Staying at Ka Lai Waikiki, Grand Hyatt Kauai and Wayfinder (booked using Delta Stays)
Nice!

Still better than booking directly with Bonvoy points directly, ironically (no breakfast for Platinum status, etc.)
The couch is good for a 3rd person or couple of kids. So, a family can definitely be in that room

I love all your resorts 🍍 I think I like them all. I also like the Disney resort
(7:30) I love rooms with washer- dryers!
Nice kitchen, If it is a timeshare, I wonder if there are washer/dryer in the back locked behind the 2 doors.
🍍 ritz Waikiki, Prince Waikiki, Halekulani, Four Seasons

How hard was the sell? Was looking into these but always worried that 1-2 hours turns into 4+ hours.
@@MandyRoams no they gave up pretty quickly when i told them im a deal seeker. Out in about 75 minutes.

"This is my piglet friend, Sebastian..."
🍍 we like staying at Kaimana Beach Hotel and Surfjack (no resort fees and inexpensive daily parking rate)
🍍🌴🍹🐠Aloha Steakhouse!!
Nice thumbnail. Hope you enjoy your trip and road trip vacation in Honolulu.
Thanks for watching Kevin :)
I have a question about the LXR $100 credit - did you have to book a portion of your stay (in addition to Sebastian) in order to use your credit?
Yes, we each had a separate reservation.
Why key key

so why didn't you book with FHR for the prince hotel? was it just not on the list? TIA :)
Prince Hotel is in the Hotel Collection, not FHR.

You need to pay to be da boss
To me at least, it's probably a $25 to $30 breakfast, all-in (per person). I don't think I'd pay ~$55/pp if it wasn't included with Amex FHR lol
🍍🍍🍍
(09:00) ALL YOU CAN EAT WAYGU- OMG!!!
A bit pricey, but if you're a big eater it's AMAZING :D
Wait.. why is my credit card youtuber here? 😂
